Enlighten me.. where are the dash unit tests? That is the first place i looked.

 Hard to take this project seriously when it has no code coverage. Really? Amateur hour if they didnt write any!

If we continue to HODL around $100 +/- a bit - cool :-D

I too like the $100 and I am happy to see it going stable and slowly building a new good resistance/base/floor.

My worry currently is what's going to happen with Bitcoin. (The Core/BU "war") In case that Bitcoins gets hit badly who knows how this will affect the altcoins.

Wow. Sweetie, I'm so glad you're doing better, but damn, that's one thing I DON'T like about the internet.  You make friends and they could disappear and you'd never know it!    Gosh, I hope your recovery is super speedy and you can get back to raising hell ;P  Also, I agree, I don't think there will be a retrace baring some strange news from China again, LOL.  And even then, Dash would probably benefit   ::hugs::  Get better!

I'm a bit worried about BTC also
I'm only gonna use it as a transit tool - nothing else

IF - big IF - IF BTC dumps, anything is possible
DASH might be a ALT but - to sink or swim will be the real test
If BTC dump and DASH reminds within 20% of $100 - I'm cool with that
If BTC dumps and DASH gets 10% those funds - I'm cool with that also
IF the bottom drops out of everything and crypto dies - god for bid - I'm cool with that also
I only have about $3000USD of MY money left in crypto
I've pulled out enough fiat to almost cover everything I put in
Soon, I'll be playing on 100% FREE MONEY :-P

Feels good to have just over 2x MN's with nearly all Capital returned :-D

But I also understand, not everybody's been into DASH from the beginning

Congrats to Dash on the new USD ATH and for reaching #4 (or #2 on the currencies list).  I really do think that Dash belongs above LTC and XMR, in the long run.  But as I said before, I don't think a new BTC ATH is in the cards for a while now.  I think we will see .015 and lower again before we see a new BTC ATH.  But if I'm proven wrong, more power to you.

I'm taking my leave for now.  And BTW, I have nothing to do with Monero, and I have never owned Monero, because I don't trust Monero.

Well, that was a huge mistake on my part.  Congratulations to the Dash community.  Fortunately I retain between 30 and 40 Dash, so I'm seeing a part of this huge rise, but not as much as if I had held on to the 200 that I sold.  Live and learn, I guess, but dang that  $20,000 would have been really nice to have.

Considering I do most my posting in here,  I'll just ask even though its not specific to Dash...     When (if) BTC and BTCU hard fork,  would the BTC change activate segwit due to the fact that it can't activate due to the BTCU hashing rate and once that is out of the picture we will see SegWit?   Then we will have BTC(SegWit) and BTCU(LargerBlock) followed by BTC(SegWit+LargerBlock) and BTCU(downward spiral)

I believe in BTC long term just like I believe in Dash and ETH..  Was just pondering this question over coffee and updates on BTCT.

In theory, yes. That may be what Core is hoping for...a miscalculation by BU miners that causes the fork to be unsuccessful. That gives you the "safety valve effect" where the rebellious community is now gone, meaning Core could go ahead and implement SegWit and Lightning.

However, I think there's a 99.99% chance of no fork happening. Even if 75% of miners signaled for BU, I doubt that all of them would actually start producing big blocks (fork). When it comes right down to it, people are much more willing to protest than they are to take serious risks. If BU does fork, I expect they won't do it until they are 100% certain that they will succeed as the majority chain. In that case they will likely attach the minority chain (Core) to kill it, and Core will change algos. Then you'll have the supposedly "real" Bitcoin running on a bunch of GPUs somewhere. It's the worst plan I've ever heard, honestly. If BU gets to the point where they can fork, they will win. I doubt they get there, though.

No, what I see is even worse. The scaling debate has raged for over three years. Both sides are entrenched and neither is willing to "lose face" by compromising. Even if a "grand bargain" could be arranged with compromises from both sides, it probably wouldn't work. Core basically had a "grand bargain" two years ago (SegWit+increased block sizes), but they lied. When it came time to activate bigger blocks, Core reneged on the deal. Now that everybody knows Core will lie to get its way, I don't see the miners falling for it again.

It's therefore no accident that Bitcoin core personnel would make the massive mistake of dismissing the role of altcoins in the growth of this new asset class. Unfortunately for them, that's where the real resolution to this debate lies. There is no technical solution that can protect anyone from genuine diversification.
