Just dumped my entire BTC reserve and bought more DRK.
Like a goddamn tycoon.
If it all goes tits up I'm going to have to work for a couple of days to make up for it.
I think you are a trend setter. Yah, we may all have to work, including those of us in retirement,, LOL

someone lost a wallet of 25k btc when btc was at $20 USD. He cried over $500k of btc, what was he thinking when 25k btc meant the loss of $30million+ All in one wallet ? Just seems not the best thing if thats all your money dont keep in just one place. I'd also say dont store just one form of asset value but thats more personal stance

back to a master node misbehaving, there is a problem here.
A human will not know if they are hosting a master node as they shut off their machine for whatever reason, therefore we have a backup slave node to take over. I would think that the only "punishment" for the master node is that they will not participate in that round's rewards. Otherwise, we can hurt people who are just running their wallets.
I still haven't seen, but may have missed it, can we password protect our wallet while running the nodes? Also, can our balances and identity be inferred from running a node?
So all clients have a full list of the masternodes and they can sort them like: Winner, Runner up, Next runner up, etc So if you can't connect to the first, you'll connect to the second. The one who gets the payment needs to be the one who actually did the work, maybe he could sign the finalized transaction or something.

87 btc buy order.. say wuttt <Henryxx> 79 btc loking to change for Darkcoin <Henryxx> pm for offer
Sounds like someone wants to setup a few MasterNodes haha He will struggle to get it filled though. I posted a few pages back that I want to buy some DRKs and didn't get a single PM. Just depends on the price he's willing to pay. If he offers 0.00175 right now, I bet he won't have any issues at all selling his BTC.

Something like that, when the client starts by propagating a message saying "Hey I'm a capable masternode ,here's my input and sig to prove it and this is where I'd like to be reached" .

I really love the idea, thoughts?
WOW. a. i love the idea b. imho, at later stages build an option for several n-bagholders to collaborate by putting their drk into one wallet [several signatures required etc.] in order to qualify and benefit from the masternode economics. c. i think you just invented to Proof-of-Stake that makes sense, bcs all the POS that i've seen so far are contradictory to 'spending' money, whereas this method works for those who want to spend/ do transactions AND those who want a 'dividend' on their long-term investment/holding. i really love it!!!!! way to go! p.s. i haven't read all the following posts and responses, so if anyone wrote this before me - i'm with you.

Why dont creat a test (fake) darkcoin network for test Dark Send. ? DSK with it, we can play with dark send and master node. Just need some CPU and some p2pool multi coin (DRK/DSK) In that way, DRK dont became the laboratory for other coins, but DSK is the laboratory of DRK We do do that all the time When it's stable enough, we have a beta version that can be used along side the regular version. This allows people to do transactions with DarkSend, and not have to wait. Like me, I don't want to send regular, I want my privacy. So even so DarkSend is being improved upon and even completely reworked, we still have a very good version that we can use while waiting for the next version But it's not for people that haven't read about the issues (mainly that you have to wait until your payment goes through before you can turn off your computer or close your wallet, otherwise you'll be fined 0.1 dark. And also, if you don't like using something that hasn't been open sourced yet, it wouldn't be for you. It's closed until completed. But yes, everyone is always welcome to join in on testnet when we're testing. I have a ball giving out large sums of dark to people, something I can't do irl, LOL

Basic answer to your question is yes, we do have a fake test network. It is called testnet. We test DarkSend on it before it goes live.
Next time, maybe you can join us if you are available.
Hope that's better!
