What about "Brights" for the lowest DRK denomination?

I like the idea of playing against the dark theme.

Just my 2 Brights.

Evans sounds fine! Nothing is "bright" here Smiley

btw I will create some "masternodes" when available ! I'm exited about it.

But you (devs) will need to explain all process to an average Joe like me in a very clear and easy english  Wink

The team running this coin is awesome, I'm so glad I have some darks.

Does the information find in this link :
https://vtcpool.co.uk/p2pool-guide.html

Can be apply to DRK ?

I think about this :

My worker is getting a lot of hardware errors

Because of the short blocktimes on the p2pool sharechain, your workers need to receive much lower difficulty work than they would in a traditional pool. They must finish their work and submit it before it goes stale - on the main blockchain, this would happen every time a block was generated (every 2.5 minutes on average), wheras on p2pool a new block on the sharechain happens every 10 seconds on average. Very low difficulty work often causes hardware errors. You can prevent this by telling p2pool the minimum difficulty your worker requires. You do this by appending a string to the end of your username (your Vertcoin address) in your miners startup command. The formula for calculating what to append is:

Vertcoin Address + 0.00000116 * Hash Rate in KH/s

I test it on my workers, and i have better result, mean less DOA, from 1.6 to 0.76

Does it works or just an other factor ?

HW error happens when p2pool difficulty is zero(fresh start p2pool).
I have changed p2pool MIN_TARGET=o to  MIN_TARGET=4.

Custom difficulty works well.
-u darkcoin_address+customdifficulty --> p2pool give minor customdifficulty.

And p2pool-drk has per worker difficuly like normal stratum pool.
(Normal p2pool use one diffculty for all miner)

(you can use customdifficulty, when you have problem. Normally don't need)

check Share difficulty
Code:
DRK Address	                         Hashrate	  DOA Hashrate (DOA %)	Share difficulty	Time to share	Predicted payout

I wrote a PM to one of the dev (LimLims, I think). I would like to know if there are any open bounty for an italian translation (of the official topic, website, wallet, and so on).

Sorry but in the bounty list I saw all the languages except mine, and I've recently invested a bit in darkcoin too, so I would like to increase my little stash Smiley

No official bounty, but you are welcome to do the translation (when the new site is up) and you are likely to get some donations out of appreciation. I'll throw a few DRK in.

As i understood the cost to run a masternode will be 1000 DRK .

1000 DRK is way too high, i understand you ambition but it would eventually prevent a healthy amount of masternodes.

I would host masternodes worth 2000 DRK, i even have the option to provide different IP geo locations, if one masternode costs 1000 DRK to run i can only host two with my budget. NSA can host thousands!!!!

Please consider that there indeed should be a monetary hurdle but it should be considered really, really carefully. Because probably the advantages outweight the disadvantages from lowering the monetary hurdle.

I really want to urge you to double think about that! 150 - 500 DRK should be much enough to host a masternode!

Best Regards,

"Can't get enough of this beautiful Duff" (The Simpsons)  Grin Grin Grin

We need to think about the press. They are going to be all over this coin when things get going.

Don't give them cheap bombs to throw that may hurt the value because it is ridiculed and puts people off.  On CNBC a few weeks back they were talking about MT Gox and poked fun at everyone in Bitcoin by referring to 'magic the gathering' and saying that proves its all smoke and mirrors and money magically taken out of your wallet.

Maybe, officially Evans (or whatever) and insider joke use Duff.

I'm hodling my duff. Grin
