Wasn't that useless draft around about a month ago until a topic regular finally "asked" him to leave?

Yeah, wants donations from any of the altcoins for this "book". He can't even take the time to make sure it wasn't scrypt POW or follow the logo change? Lazy.

I am writing sections for 50 coins Tongue

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483187.0

Yet you can't get off your lazy ass on 50 1-2 page writeups to make sure you are up-to-date? Shit, in a weekend, I could probably take the top 50 and copy-and-paste writeups with exactly what you offering.

Understand that it's difficult to create that much contents in less than 6 months.

No, most of it is in the OP of each coin.

Low-hanging fruit that are visible...

1) QT Client: When selecting sources from which to send, the custom Change Address field shows an LTC address as an example... Kinda embarrassing.

2) Everything: When killing darkcoind/-qt process via top, one can see the shutdown process labeled as "bitcoin-shutdown" for a moment. Again, kinda embarrassing.

I know it's small things, but the xcoin logo hung around for a long time after the name change until I mentioned it... Easy to fix, it's just words, no real coding.

Why, I'm not marketing it and don't have a desire. You guys make it sounds like what he is writing about is magical literature. It's copy and paste work. Period. Sure, you might have to look at some charts to see when the highs were but if any of you crammed a paper out in college, you'd know how easy something like this could be.

Mac users, if you appreciate this release please support it by sending DRK: 1 helps!

DRK tips: XtwzEuurDTNeVK5a26AzzZDdVkkPkAQ7Eu
(...)

SUPPORT this wonderful wonderful man! (for us Mac fan-boys of course...)

This. He surprisingly only has 38drk donations. If you use osx then be nice and send him at least 1drk.

I loathe Apple. But, it's a lot of work to support such a crappy platform... :-p

I'm donating. What about YOU, gentle reader?! Use DarkSend!

GhostPlayer, Sleepyx, camosoul et al., thank you for your support!

So we still on to set up a donation addres for Evan to fund a great Dev team?

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/masternode-payments-and-beyond.921/
I've concluded that XosX (http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?188207.htm) is Evan...so I think he's doing alright.

Any guesses for #2?

Max Keiser
Although I believe him to be number 1

What's the net worth of Keiser in terms of BTC?

No idea to be honest. He was buying them since they were less than $5 though.

Re: mapping coinjoins, I assume you mean logging which inputs match with which outputs. This doesn't need an anti-incentive to prevent, you can simply make it so it isn't possible to log through the use of blind signatures.

I think DarkSend does not implement blind sigs because they didn't work when DOS'ed (?) or something to that effect:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg6001085#msg6001085

...and, again, if I remember correctly the solution was one where the node knows what is being transacted.

(note: I'm no coder or cryptography expert, so I'm going with my understanding of past discussions I've read - some of which may be inaccurate).

Quote
Re: Bitcoin foundation, they aren't involved with this decision. All it takes is one person to implement it and upload the implementation Smiley

That's unsettling for Bitcoin's stability Tongue It's like the opposite end of bureaucracy (=>anarchy)

Quote
Re: delaying payments, no, it isn't possible to have consensus that way. You can check yourself, but anyone that's offline will need to trust someone. This means if the party they trust lies, consensus is broken.

Hm...

Pshaw, I used all the BTC that I paid less than $1 for to go all in on DRK back in March. I turned a pocket-change investment while I was homeless into more money than I know what to do with.

Thank you stupid/weak people. You made me homeless with your votes, you made me rich with your stupidity/weakness.
