Hey thanks for that. But does anyone have a working version of cgminer or bfgminer for this GS3355 units? I can offer 0.3BTC for a working cgminer or bfgminer (preferred) version. I am currently working on my own version of GS miners, similar to lightningAsic. It will be in English with more features. And users will not be locked out of their controller. I am still tossing up on whether to build this on the GS controller or Raspberry PI. I think Pi is the way to go though.

I finally received my LA3M yesterday and got it up and running very quickly. However I'm just getting maximum around 3.5M, any idea how to get this higher and close to 5M which was what was originally stated by Jack.
I thought these units were stated by Jack to run at 3 MH/s hence the model number LA 3M...

Phew, those cables are hard to manage, really a mess. After some work I came up with this rig. It's not completely finished, but for now I'm happy with it. Currently mining scrypt running at 600Mhz, and about 3Mh/s = 105W total (including controller and usb hub). With 10 miners running, the controller reboots too often.

You could go for a windows/linux with cpuminer.. and spawn 19x cpuminer instances.

+1 +1 for the Pi. You may want to consider working with the folks at Scripta (Chirale & DrFranz)...they've got a pretty nice web-UI for the RasPi which they're trying to adapt for these Gridseed devices...they have it currently working for the USB-stick single-chip version but not for the round miners. I'm sure they'd appreciate the help and so would Scripta users.

One of my controllers was DOA. You cant run more than 10 per controller without serious stability issues. If you run them off the computer you wont be able to disable the sha-256 function and they will be using a lot more power. I have doubts that the included psus can handle the extra load of dual mode. Please let me know what you find.

Power draw at the wall using the modified cpuminer went from ~55W to ~10W per unit.

I don't think you will get that speed. Has anyone got that speed for a stable consistent period? I think it was a marketing ploy. So sorry. When I boot up my miners, some of them are running at speeds of 600-800kh for 5 mins. But that's because the output is based on accepted shares. That is not the real long term speed. I can keep rebooting the miners until I get the reading I like and screenshot it. I have measured these thing. The best they can hash at is around 3.6-4.0mh at the miner. Pools will report lower due to rejected shares. Think about it, if Gridseed could have got better speeds out if it, they would have. Not leave it to a reseller to make a better firmware. Gridseed has a team of 20 people. How many works at LightningAsic? Has anyone tried it with a PC rather than the controller, if so did you get a higher number, what was the number? Wiibox was running a bit iffy and the chrome auto translate was getting to me, so I connected ten red units to an old eeepc 900 running Mint. Tried it at 850Mhz - get uhm, hard to tell, probably around 350MH/s per unit. They jump around like crazy though, as reported by the pools, sometimes at around 100-150, sometimes above 700.

Look the pool reports the calculated (perheived) rate based on shares send to it and its expected to jump up and down because not all hashes are found exactly at the same time and therefore when you send too many shares your KH/s increase but when you send less shares your KH/s decrease
the actual speed can only be seen on the controller does it have an indicator ?

WTS 40 Gridseed USB Units. Ordered from Hashra and will arrive in next few days. I have 2X Big Bit Package (20x USB Modules) so 40 units in total with controllers and 3x accessories package. Hashra says Gridseed Infinity Mini runs both CPUMiner and CGMiner. They will be brand new not opened, Willing to sell below market rate just really need the cash for unexpected costs that came my way Escrow ok. PM me offers/questions Edit: Hashra says they have stable firmware with working dual mode and no resetting issues If I wasn't tapped out I'd take 20 off of your hands...sadly I have little money much sadness no wow.

If you're talking to me - I gave up on the wiibox controller for now, running a bunch of minerd instances on a linux notebook instead. The wiibox did not have any speed indicator from what I've seen.
