Are you positive that this is going to happen?
It seems some have said it is true and others that it is not true.
Could you clarify for me?  PM please if you would like I am a writer for CCN and I would like to interview someone who has first hand info on it.  My link is in my sig.

So you guys think BTC market value is going up soon?  I need to cash some coins out, just curious if I should wait a couple weeks.  I haven't been caught up with all the news.

It will go up soon but we aren't at the bottom yet. Buy now if you want you'll make it back eventually. As far as people being "over" the China news already...lol. Wait till April 15th. We will bottom out in the low 400s possibly in the 300s and then rebound slowly over the next few months.

With the current drop in BTC price are these miners even profitable right now?
I think there would have to be a big price drop to help reduce the ROI. There
was one supplier that was selling for $175 US currently but think it would have
to come down much more and hash power will have to increase. Still holding
off on amy purchase until new higher power miners come out.

Agreed.  I would consider buying at $85 each or 3k per 40.  Maybe $2500 per 40 and they've got themselves a deal.

You guys have made good product and good cash is worth your efforts, unfortunately the markets just suck right now and the long ROI period just isn't worth it from a buying stand point.

At this point, nobody should be buying these little 300KH/s gridseeds, anymore...they will never see a ROI. The window of time before the large-scale ASIC mining hardware rolls out is not long enough and the market price of coins is too low. Basically, if you weren't in a month or two ago, you shouldn't get into anything but a pre-order on the larger hardware. The same thing is poised to happen here that happened in Bitcoin. History is going to repeat.

agreed... But if these little suckers get down to the 75 dollar range, i see some potential! But then again this is wishful thinking haha

But in other news, firmware is definitely needed... Lightning Controller just froze on me again and I am away at work... Assed out of mining till i return home  Cry

Also if someone could actually stop the release of new Alt coins on a almost daily basis the value of the current ones
would actually start to rise. I do not know who originally had the code or how people come up with the coin and the
algo to do this but with the almost weekly releases I do not expect the market to go anywhere but down due to the
flood of new coins. Please someone stop the madness as the new mining rigs will not be viable and the ROI will be a
very long time line!

Agreed, my money is going to knc for titan

Though for a low enough price with say an ROI of a month or so I would buy in just to increase daily/weekly/monthly revenue stream until Titans come out.

New alt coins will always be coming out, there is no stopping it.  Even if they are banned from the forum, there are already other forums dedicated to alts that are on the rise.

That being said, I am a supporter of new coins as fresh coins with the lowest difficulty offer the most profit potential.

There isn't enough fiat to support the endless flow of new coins, none of which really give you anything new as a consumer. Most just appeal to miners, and that isn't going to be enough to make them successful. If you look at coinmarketcap.com it's pretty clear how rapidly the capital distribution thins out after the top five coins. Actually, the fall-off from coin to coin the top five is really dramatic, and then it slows as the capital spreads out amongst the rest...but all of them added up don't even equal Litecoin's cumulative market value.

Realistically, large hashrate ASICs will squash the weaker/smaller alts, unless they fork into different algorithms or become merge-mined. Large-scale ASIC miners targeting weak coins will 51% them easily, forking their blockchains...or they'll dump so much of their mined coin on the market that there won't be enough liquidity to absorb it, crashing the value to 1 satoshi or forcing them to trade in a Litecoin pair, because 1 satoshi isn't low enough.

The landscape is about to change radically in the second half of 2014.
