Hmm I just noticed something weird .. Orphan blocks .. a lot of them. 40 on MineBig in 24h .. Hash.so had 32 ..

Don't think I've seen 1 since I started mining.

Could it be switching pool spikes due to rapid pump?

Possibly because of the low difficulty but still have several pools working?

Look at the block rates, they're pretty quick (when including the orphans in observations).

I'm more concerned by the lack of responses to the poll I posted, all I was asking for there was a couple of clicks from folks not much work compared to what's still required to turn this coin around.

Could just be a chicken and egg issue though, need work to get going for others to join in, but I know I for one am nervous of starting to put hours a day into this and that if we don't get enough muscle to do the other stuff and my time ends up wasted or it ends up just 2-3 of us (who don't know what we're doing) having to put a bunch of hours in just to see others take the chance to dump their coins and crash the price again...

Sorry to be so negative, many things have been going badly lately and it's hard to think positively. Sad

EDIT: Link to poll post so it's not lost

I sent some coins and they didn't arrive. Orphan blocks .. Coins arrived on Cryptsy, seeing diff going up, now I don't want to sell .. hehe

errhh .. wtf .. Dev about to launch an update? And bought all the coins? I would have to take my hat off if this was the case, much much better scam than premine Wink not that I would complain of a little bump of say 10,000% ..

Checked the explorer .. http://altexplorer.info/chains/CASH/block_crawler.php .. trn arrived at Cryptsy .. it could be just CRAPtsy ..

Orphan blocks stopped now too.

It is one of the many things speculated previously. Would be a smart move. Allows the dev to continue mining throughout, use the BTC raised from the early price rise on Cryptsy before others could deposit (not sure what goes on there), then buy weeks later having spent time secretly working on stuff and sees the price skyrocket.

In which case, I think that those of us that are still here should get a nice pat on the back for staying here and keeping the thread count increasing, if nothing else (oh and the price to go above where we bought in at earlier on would be nice too so we can hi ho, hi ho let's "all dump together!") kidding Smiley

EDIT:

Having been asked why I don't use CoinEx and to spread the word about my experience, I wrote up this post detailing the interactions I had with them while failing to get my coins.

Sorry folks, been away for a while, and going away again in a few days, but just voted on the poll.

Been mining CASH and buying every few days because I still believe in the long term viability of this coin.

I would like to help but don't have the free time; I'm already over committed with 3 jobs. Sad

However, given that in the UK the HMRC (tax authority) have decided to treat crypto currencies as a currency, and there are a lot of businesses there already supporting bitcoin and that the Bitcoin Foundation is opening their international office in London, 2014 is set to be a great year in the UK for crypto adoption.

I suggest we all lobby this startup to get them to add cashcoin:

http://www.coindesk.com/pock-io-selling-uk-retailer-gift-cards-for-bitcoin/

I believe that having cashcoin accepted by pock.io would be a great marketing boost for our favourite coin.

Welcome Back  : Grin

We need dev back before anything can happen. Seeing what happened last couple days during the mining pump, it really is clear CASH is multipool proof, even at expense of some % loss on orphaned blocks for regular miners for a bit.

Also, Hash.so pool has been having issues with a whole bunch of coins, not paying out to wallets. And CASH has been affected as well, so 50-75Mhs missing there.

I agree with Var. We need to get the coin development back on track before trying to promote it. No one (worth bothering with) would bother putting effort in to accepting the coin if it could fall apart in no time.

Everything still works of course, that's not going to change, but we'll have the checkpoint issue again and we're unable to update anything at the moment in terms of the OP, website etc...

Is there a Mac wallet in this coin's future?  A working one?  I have a Windows one for now, but it is not convenient.

so with just one r9 270x I've managed to just about triple my hash rate from just a 6850 from 230khps to 670. not bad for just $200 from amazon right Cheesy
Ok so where is cryptocashnow hiding? I've been looking at the code but I'm not an advanced programmer. I guess if I created a test environment I could figure it all out in a few days. hmmm

Everyone I know who uses a Mac uses it for the looks and the Apple logo and then installs Windows on it. Are you using it like a Mac Mac? Why?

Yea, saw it this morning. I died a little more inside again Smiley

Chatting with a coder now about it now (another one)...
Might just remove it from the wallet source. It's not really needed and just complicates matters.
