Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

We are going by qt client version, I'm not even sure why it shows that number there to be honest.
I'll take a look at that.
Anyway if you mouseover the PreminePlus-qt.exe you will see your client version 0.7.3 (or 0.7.2 if you are on the wrong version).

Please start the official PMP-ANN asap to stop confusion.

Then I will be posting here, in the swap ANN and the Launch ANN and then I'll have to make a giveaway ANN  Undecided
I was going to combine the launch/giveaway ANNs into one on the 1st.
No one other than PMC holders need the PMP wallet yet. The swap ANN has all the info you might need and links to relevant places (burn address, new wallet, excel doc, swap account, etc).

I've just read about the swap. Great news! Smiley

But I have some questions, maybe I've overseen it.
What is the exchange rate, when I swap PMC to PMP? 1:1 or a different rate?
What's the total amount of PMP?
How much is the yearly POS?
What's the timeframe in which I can swap my PMC?

And is this the correct and current swap instruction?
Step 1: Open the old PMC wallet, send all your PMC to the official burn address 1PMCxxxSWAPxxxToxxxPMPxxxXXXUfNchW
Step 2: Copy and save your transaction id
Step 3: Download our new (temp) PMP wallet https://mega.co.nz/#!HZpBmaKT!U_u3UrdgsGr1KOP14ptPhqoQR4fTit_K0wJK_JZJni8
Step 4: Put the included .conf file in the roaming/PreminePlus directory
Step 5: Open the new wallet and copy your new PMP Address
Step 6: Message PMCswap with your transaction id and new PMP wallet address (DO NOT POST TX OR WALLET IN THIS THREAD)
Step 7: Check the public excel doc later to make sure your transaction amount and PMP address are correct.
Step 8: ? ? ?
Step 9: PROFIT!

Thanks! Smiley

Those swap instructions look correct and yes that is the updated temp wallet.

The ratio is 1:1.
The total amount of PMP is 1,000,000. This is also to give a 1:1 ratio of old PMC coins to new PMP coins.
What this means is there will be an equal amount of PMP given away to the new community as was swapped into existence by PMC holders. This is fair don't you think?
The yearly PoS is a whopping 50% to encourage minting over the next year. Staking interest will be removed in the near future and replaced with staking for tx fees. This will make Premine an entirely closed loop system.
All these details will be in the Launch/Giveaway ANN coming up.

ugh, I was going by src/clientversion.h

seems redundant.

I like it. If I'm being completely honest though, I don't like the "PREMINE" font at all. The rest looks great, though. It's just that the font doesn't really fit in with everything else.

That was a particularly nitpicky thing to focus on  Wink
I think that font is fitting but that is (I'm hoping) a temporary logo.

Once we launch and have a logo contest we can replace that with whatever we want.
I'd like to replace that space with a built-in chat in fact, but we can decide on that later.

Are there any updates regarding the re-designed wallet?

What about the giveaway thread?

Or are we waiting until more PMC is swapped?
