PMC isn't dead even if it gets de-listed from Poloniex. HOWEVER I have been given permission, as it were, to 'take over'. Now I do not have the skills required for this... but PMC is now ours.... we can decide what to do next...

I NEED A DEV ..... and I need some ideas.... POS was one.... what do you all think?

I think that's a good idea, since the original dev doesn't seem to be able to do it at the moment.

I think POS is a good idea, since it will help PMC a lot, and make it a lot less expensive to keep up the network. Sadly I am not able to dev as well.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Thanks for that delisting info!

There is one question: Why should a coin be worth something at all? Only because it's rare? Why should the price for a coin be higher? It's sad to say but I have doubts if this coin ever reaches 1$ again. I will wait and see .... Smiley

are there any other market places now where PMC can still be traded?

Also PMC is cheap as hell @ Poloniex....  buy buy buy!

burning good money  Grin if there really was buying pressure the price would go up. when everyone bought cheap PMC and there is nobody there to sell any more and nobody is there to pay higher prices the price stays low  Grin

@kbroadfoot: since you are apparently the new dev, could you maybe try to persuade poloniex to cancel the delisting?

Yeah right... new DEV...  however I AM GONNA TRY to convince Busoni to keep us around for a bit...

PMC leaded the way for Hashcows to use them as a payout method... opening the door for XBC and others listed there...
We deserve a little credit...

Exactly! I send a ticket with the request to keep PMC to poloniex as well, I hope it helps.

And... I just ordered a hosted Gawminer Fury. It is only 1 mh/s, but I am curious to try it. Once delivered I will point it to hashcows (if poloniex keeps PMC up). If you still want to order one as well, if you follow this referral link, you should get $20 off a $200 purchase, and I will get some points (which I can spend at their shop again).

Decide on something to day and let the exchange owners know what it is. They've been pretty easy to convince lately; they've cancelled the delisting of multiple coins over the last few weeks because the dev came out and said they had a plan to drive interest back up in the near future.
It worked for Yin/Yang coin, and at least 3-4 others in the last few weeks.

My vote is for POS

it looks like the original DEV bailed as soon as things started to go bad yet again it will be the users that lose out while the DEV goes and makes yet another coin Sad

PMC was the first alt that was unique to Polo  Tongue My, how it has grown since then. Shame about PMC, I feel it inspired a lot of PoS coins but got lost along the way. I guess that by the time BTC mining is exhausted something else will have taken over, probably something secured with PoS, or the transactions fees alone would be worth mining (indicating high real life usage, i.e. BTC) - Nice experiment and idea, it was fun to watch.

I can assure you I will NOT be making another coin.

All views are my own, except those that I have subconsciously inherited from my parents and those that I have nicked from far cleverer people.

Good to hear from the original dev.  Grin

I still believe in PMC and am sure we will bounce back.
We may get delisted from poloni, but we can work on new features and get listed again or get listed in another exchange - no big deal.

Has anyone looked at here
http://blockchain.premineco.in/wallet/index.php?min=0
We have already been distributed to 30480 unique addresses.
Which other altcoin with such low total coins can claim this kind of reach?

btw, my vote is for POS even with 0%.

I see three steps here to begin:

1) Ask Poloniex to keep us around for a little while longer... we can all do that via the ticket system. To buy some time..

2) Ask 'nearmiss' if Hashcows can buy PMC from another exchange....  Europex.eu, C-Cex, Cryptofunds, etc...

3) Go to POS...  MAYBE we can ask Atomic-Trade's Dev to help us do that AND list PMC on Atomic-Trade

So help me with the first one... ( asking Poloniex to keep us )
I will ask 'nearmiss' iof he can buy PMC elsewhere... for Hashcows... and lets all seek out a Dev...

credicoin-CRD said he would give the github to whomever we choose to 'take over'...

Anything but POS, so many coins have broken due to POS and only a few devs can fix it, until it breaks again.

What alternative do you suggest?

In the current situation mining is costing a lot of money, and not giving anything in return. Even with obligatory transactions fees it would be like that, since there are only a few transactions.
