Cryptsy doesn't have added PMC to the vote page. Bad sign imo.

Here's a conversation starter:

It seems the original PMC idea has grown in popularity to the point that there are now TWO new 100% premined coins entering the market in FairCoin and Osmosis (though the latter appears to be another IPO scam...ignore it if you wish).

What are your thoughts on these coins, if/how their presence will affect the future of PMC, etc.

Are these coins "Competitors" or is this more of a "sincerest form of flattery" scenario?  Discuss!

Faircoin has a different method of distribution but if i had some virtual machines i can generate more token in an hour and have more coins than other users.

Osmosis never heard till now.

I think that in this way PMC will be known as the first of his kind. Like bitcoin is. Not really a bad thing.

These massive pump and dumps are sucking the life out of the altcoin market. Just look at Auroracoin. Just another market trap.

PMC is the only altcoin I've held that is even remotely stable.

i hate this paying BTC for voting thing. They are just taking money from people for adding coins they should be adding anyway.

It pains me to say this, but I do not wish for PMC to be listed as a coin to vote for on Cryptsy. This voting system that exchanges are employing now simply promotes pump and dump coins to the top, and is at best bribery, and at worst pure and unadulterated greed.

Coins should be listed on their merits, not on the deepness of the pockets of the community. I think it's all a big sham, and quite frankly this has effectively ruined the chance of any legitimate coin getting on an exchange. It may very well have effectively killed the chances of any coins getting on Cryptsy without paying to do so.

Paying for votes is wrong.

I fully agree . . . I've said it a million times, it's pure extortion.

What about Coins-e  or even vircurex then?  ( mcxNOW is probably out of the question knowing RealSolid's opinionated personality )

Yep, I think you're right. Faircoin could be PMC's litecoin. I believe faircoin is scrypt too.

Annoyingly I lost my token for faircoin and there's no way no reset the page without a valid token (unless you have a dynamic IP address). The distribution was not fair for me, and favors those with access to multiple IPs. PMC's distribution was reasonably fair as you just required a bitcointalk account. It was distributed maybe a little too fast, but I can see why creditcrd just wanted to get it done as fast as possible. It was meant as an experiment (and perhaps a parody of premined coins, as the name was pretty funny at the time). It has really taken off since.

Weak hands?

2014-03-08 00:28:45 Sell 4321.584692 PMC @ 0.000423049 = 1.7510545 BTC

All views are my own, except those that I have subconsciously inherited from my parents and those that I have nicked from far cleverer people.

How long premine Faucet in maintenance?

Your answer...

Unfortunately I have had to put the faucet into maintenance mode due to noticing weird withdrawals this morning.
Some dumb twits are hell bent on ruining the free giveaways and using bots to simulate hundreds of transactions to withdraw PMC from the faucet.

I am going to see what we can do if anything to prevent this and until then the faucet will remain offline.
ouchh, using bot to get many PMC from faucet Shocked
hope PMC faucet will up again in near future
thanks

Everyone go buy 1 PMC today  Smiley

place order for 47 PMC
hope it will rise again

Personally, i've contacted a great number of shops (don't remember how many) but few replies and other says that we don't have a great volume to be considered. Seems that PMC is not an interesting coin.

Yesterday i've tried to contact some games' developers to have a games with pmc advertising in but till now no one reply me.

We need more people involved in this coin, this is the only important thing now. More people more volume but how we can do ?

We can't really give anymore away as we are all sort of tapped out... best advertising would be a rising price in Poloniex... forget PAY voting to be added to an exchange, lets just buy PMC.... seriously... we need a coordinated effort with people who are interesting in buying but NOT dumping... ( we need those people too, but not us ) Then watch the price rise...

Yes. Instead of paying to exchanges for voting, people should buy PMC and clear out dumpers. We can all do a joint effort.

Instead on polo we are going very bad. I'm a optimistic guy but I don't understand why the folks go on coins like maza or aurora and not pmc.
