The price of ETH in Poloniex is about 5% below coinmarketcap.com.
Why is that? Can I buy ETH in Poloniex and sell in other exchanges to make profit?

Ethereum looks well within reach of $1,000 at the moment. For one thing, it could potentially follow Bitcoin into the futures market, a development that would surely send its price skyrocketing.Building out a derivatives market—which allows investors to go short on cryptos—was something the Commodity Futures Trading Commission wanted to see before allowing a cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF).
It would allow pension funds to come off the sidelines. For those who don’t grasp the significance of this, consider that pension funds represent billions of dollars and have a long time-horizon to play with.In other words, they could boost Ethereum prices to $1,000 without breaking a sweat.

You can't say this. 0.02x btc is a bargain, but 0.06+ btc may be too expensive.

Gas rate is going down a bit. I just made a transaction with 25 GWEI it went through successfully. Let's see how soon they can fix the issue.

I think you can also use less gas. 25 Gwei is still a lot. I made a transaction with 6 Gwei today and it went through smoothly. I would suggest you orientate yourself on https://ethgasstation.info/ and take a little more Gwei than the safelow, then your transaction should go through without problems.

I can see 0.6 ez target. 1000$ ethereum can be achieved today or tomorrow. 0.1btc is the standard i set for future Ethereum reading charts/integration/usability and a few other factors combined.

Many members here are saying that eth has over gained, i think if the eth tram improves the transaction time and lower the cost per transaction and resolve the scalability issue, we are going to see $2000 per eth in coming weeks.

I trust ethereum more than bitcoin. Look at all the other useless coin's price pumps.
I am going to hodl eth for long term.

Big players and manipulators just need fud in order to buy from lower levels and they created the fud they wanted.
This kitties issue is not a big deal for the project, opposingly i defend the idea that kitties shows the enduser, eth project capabilities and further implementations.

Eth have the momemtum and power to go to at least 0.1btc in short-midterm.
Its price still low according to market.

I don't really understand how the price of ETH can increase so much as Cryptokittens has slowed so much the ETH network. But traders don't care about it i think. They don't need to send ETH to a wallet.
Is there going to be a fork of ETH? Because there was a news about Parity wanting a fork because of the hack of their wallet. But a fork won't speed up the network.
It's because ETH fork just happened.

Bitcoin is a very secure network.. and has lots of support behind it.
I do agree with it but I do think Bitcoin is here to stay.
It's picking up mainstream adoption..
Having said that.. Ethereum is without doubt a better coin..
if the network was stronger I could see total adoption of Ethereum over Bitcoin. But that will take time.

Ethereum is being moved in both directions when it seems to take it further higher than a certain price then whales short their tokens. New comers always sell and buy in panic and from this difference huge profit is made each time. Ethereum is strong if you don't care of price on daily basis.

Uhhh...wtf you talking about? The last hf that happened was planned upgrade for the chain (byz), but that was weeks ago (months in the crypto world). The next scheduled is Constantinople, but they haven't set a release date on that yet, so you can't possibly be expecting in Q1 of 2018.

No "ETH fork just happened".

Cryptokitties might have put extra congestion on the network, but it also caused thousands of new installs of MetaMask, and brought thousands of new eyes to Ethereum (and I bet it will continue to do so as the game progresses and gets updated). There was a lot of fud for it in the first few days, but that was mostly from people ignorant on the entire issue. As has been mentioned tons already, scalability is a well-known blockchain problem. It was known well before CryptoKitties got launched, and solutions have been in research and development for literally years now. Anyone who has done any homework in the space would know that. I mean, it's the most public debate happening in the most publicly known blockchain (btc, ie segwit and other bs scalability solutions).

Can you say a bit more about that Jan fork?
Is it related to Byzantium/Constantinople?

Byzantium already happened and it was really good when it happened. Lower gwei was enough for transactions.

I am talking about Constantinople; I heard it will be in January but it is maybe q1. Not sure.

Totally, markets are still manipulated by the big players. Some people make insane money with those artificial swings happening. Small investors and especially newbies are panic selling and constant new money coming in accelerates this. But thats how these markets are until it is so much money in that this kind of stuff is not possible anymore for the whales.

Ethereum is crossing $700 for the second time in a day as prices continue hitting unbelievable all-time highs.
In a frenzy of activity mirroring Bitcoin, Ethereum appears to be on track to continue its own historic surge, with the magic $1,000 price tag just $300 away.
Like the impetus for Bitcoin’s break above $17,000 this week, ETH’s newfound success hinged on regulatory acceptance and implementation.
Meanwhile, Dash is just $100 away from hitting $1,000, marking a further stage in its own mesmerizing ascent which has accelerated in recent weeks.

I think ethereum price will continue to rising because this is great project. I have suggestion if one day ETH price down better not panic, because i think it's only temporary and accumulate it if possible
