Merry Christmas fair ETHtraders! What gift awaits us today? What will we unwrap? The continuation of a massive bull run? Perhaps witnessing a dead cat bounce from big brother? Will we rise while he falls? Will another ripple-like pump surprise us all and cause us to shake our heads in disbelief? Will some fud show up and put a damper on festivities? Will someone launch a kitty app that clogs up the network? Crypto, the most colorful show in finance... telling myself to enjoy, be thankful for your gains, be thankful you’ve been blessed to be so early in this game, be thankful for all you’ve learned, and be hopeful that next year will be even more prosperous. Hoping and wishing we all end up a whole lot closer to our version of the moon by this time next year. I predict 800+ easily by the end of year..
This year has turned to be a hell of a ride for all crypto enthusiasts let's see what 2k18 will bring to us. 2018 will be bring something special for us, like $2000 Litecoin, $2000 Ethereum and $50,000 Bitcoin. Hope So Next Year 2018 will be Very Specific For Crypto World. Well Happy new Year In Advance!

Ethereum rallied a bit over the weekend, but continues to struggle at the $760 level. Maybe the market is simply consolidating in this area,. At that point, there seems to be supported in the region, giving us a potential buying opportunity. If Ethereum breaks down below the $600 level again, we could fall as low as $500. Merry Christmas!

I think we will be stable sometime on 700$ -+%10. Just like what we did with 300$ And after some time a nice jump to 1500-2000$. Love this coin

As long as the Ethereum network keeps growing the value increases due to metcalfe's law, thus, it would seem that Ethereum is a good dollar cost average once per month forever in my opinion at least for a few years or until there is a serious competitor/challenger but I don't see one yet. Patience and time seems like the play here, it behaves Microsoftish and the fact it's smarter than bitcoin I think it's more of a solid play. At this point a pro portfolio would be 50% bitcoin and 50% Ethereum but one could make a very good argument to make it 60% Ethereum and 40% Bitcoin
Metcalfe's law states that the value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users of the system (n2). First formulated in this form by George Gilder in 1993,[1] and attributed to Robert Metcalfe in regard to Ethernet, Metcalfe's law was originally presented, c. 1980, not in terms of users, but rather of "compatible communicating devices" (for example, fax machines, telephones, etc.).[2] Only later with the globalization of the Internet did this law carry over to users and networks as its original intent was to describe Ethernet purchases and connections.[3] The law is also very much related to economics and business management, especially with competitive companies looking to merge with one another.

Goodevening guys, may I ask you something about ethereum? I'm not a developer neither a technician, I'm just trying to understand the power of these new tecnology. I see the potential behind the ethereum blockchain, but I'm missing some step to understand the value of the single coin. I'm going straight to the point: I invest in eth or gas because the price will rise when the technology will spread out. But, in fact, HOW I can sell my eth or gas to the process that will use my resources? I can have tons of eth and gas in my wallet, but I can sell them to the system directly. I can only sell, if I'm not wrong, the eth to someone that need to make a smartcontract on the blockchain. I'm not talking about the speculation now, but about the future, maybe in the next 5 years.

HELLO DEV,
Obviously since the Master Protocol has many of the same goals, I'm keeping an eye on this project.
Regardless of which technology stacks survive and/or thrive, I think we can all agree that the financial world is in for some major upheaval!

The lower fees on ETH are benefiting vs BTC, in comparison Ethereum should gain business BTC is losing I think. Hopefully this helps spreads which gives a reciprocal effect to help encourage further use of ETH for various transactions due to greater usage.
There is a cut off when we reach ETH theoretical limits on transactions per second and I do hope that is not a hard limit. How close are we and would a change to POS help improve the overall situation by encouraging greater involvement by wallet holders in the transnational network ? It would be good to hear some good news on this not just for ETH but crypto overall, since ETH is protege to the Bitcoin crown. I think its possibly a big question while the various forks argue over directly copying the largest blockchain I think we may step sideways, feasible imo
it's cool my friend is merge-mining siacoin and ethereum using gpus :-D merry christmas!!! ===> https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_sc

Ethereum scalability problem must be solved in 2108, otherwise we will have a serious problems with gas prices and transaction delays. A lot of new ethereum based games similar to crypro kitties are comming together with enormous amount of ICO's in 2018.

The possibility of Bitcoin to be the only one world global currency is extreme and far-fetched. Every country in the world has its own economic setup dictating its own currency. The very nature of Bitcoints to be a decentralized crypto-currency goes against the acceptance as one global currency by the individual governments. To govern a country, they will not naturally accept the decentralized economic freedom offered by BTC and rule out the technology and the capacity for innovations. Even though it has been accepted by a few first world countries in their payment system, there are far more third world countries who need to constantly fight for existence. Hence, BTC is still not accepted there.
Even, in the level of micro transactions it is even more difficult as we can't wait for hours to get confirmation when paying in coffee shop with bitcoin. This concept didn’t really exist before. Presently, it acts more like store of wealth like gold right now. At this level what is required is faster confirmation and less fee might be used as suitable payment method for micro transactions. The pricing in Bitcoin is still too unstable, like any other crypto currency. Hence, to replace dollar we will need a currency that will have a much more stable exchange rate.
The way we cannot believe all humans of the world regardless of religion, race, creed or color to be able to live in perfect harmony with one government that represents the interests of all people equally. Similarly, it is still impossible to believe in the one world global economy (BTC) to replace every individual economic setup.

To make the coins appear you have to add custom token in my mew. Once you do that you will be able to see your coins in your balance.

That is true, I would say in Q1 2018, but on the other hand, the cryptokitties were a something new and unique, the other games would have much harder time to boom like that.

Ethereum doesn't really start up properly yet. Next year will be real up for new techniques in ethereum. I am envisaging 2x rise in the price by the end of 2018.

In relation to network, it seems that the Ethereum network has already stabilized, the scalability issues can be solved in 2018 the developers of Ethereum should already contain a solution to this problem, they are just testing the Platform in practice, we can see that the transactions have returned for normaly.
