Ok. It seems that rig has gone down for some reason (these are both in the same rig). I'll be able to check in person in about an hour and get back to both of you when I get it fixed. After that I'll make sure to get you both extra mining time to compensate.   I'm also going to get teamviewer set up tonight so this won't happen again.

something must have been up with the stratum server, noticed a bunch of rigs got bumped off / reconnected..

Did I miss something?  Betarigs is not using stratum at all, but oldschool http / getwork protocol.  Is there a reason why?  I think this is because mux based his work off of stratum_proxy which exposes http to the miners.

Stratum would be far more efficient with less latency.  In this model that would be important because the pool is proxying for another pool.  If the receiving pool is a coinswitch pool, latency matters big time.  JSON RPC will be faster than http setup/teardown.

For info, I'm using stratum. I'm making a redirect right after you connect to the HTTP port.

Would it be possible to shorten that timeperiod? Someone "invalidated" my rig earlier as well. Maybe it's done by mistake so then a 'cancel' button for the renter to press would be nice to immediately cancel the reservation.

Great work though thus far!! Brilliant idea and implementation! Smiley

Ok fixed in advance incoming problems due to the large number of rigs coming Smiley
I still have one race condition issue, code is ready but will deploy tomorrow morning.

Comments and feedback on the rig rental, is probably next for tomorrow!

Also made a second evening payout later this evening, tx at:
https://blockchain.info/tx/1e2d00d52f9b1bfb4b934440b42a0f47fd95ba2833cdef7c2bfafda35f480ba8

Sorry, haven't time to refund the 4 ppl that got their amount incorrect and weren't recognized by the system: will do tomorrow.

Good night!

EDIT:
Got Mux to add free hours to your leases to make up for the downtime.  Cheers!

Oden and Mudge, I was able to get back to the rig and restart cgminer which seems to have fixed the problem.  The logs indicate that the rig stopped mining at 1:01pm central US time and got back to its job just a bit after 4pm.  I have no idea why it stopped since the computer wasn't frozen and drivers didn't seem to have crashed, but I'll get teamviewer up and running for my phone so I can take care of this stuff faster in case it happens again (naturally the rig ran 100% uptime for the last week until I was an hour away from it).
I'll get both of your leases extended to make up for the downtime.  Sorry for the inconvenience!

Maybe set the duration to 15 minutes or something like that until the transaction is visible in the blockchain and waiting for a confirmation?

So one of my rigs died with several hours still leased and I'm not able to remotely bring it back online, I want to either credit the renter time or refund him a percentage of his rental fee.   What's the best way to make that happen?    I would rather be pro-active about hooking him up rather than waiting for a complaint.

Or perhaps if you're the one renting from me you can just PM me on here Smiley     http://www.betarigs.com/rig/134

Great service.

Anyone in an apartment that can't grow their rigs.......this service is cheaper than buying a house and then having to start buying rigs.

welcome to hash-vegas, baby.

I bought a rig and paid for it my wallet rounded up the amount for some reason and the rig never started up after I paid.

Then little while later the rig was deleted from my account and the send to address / pending is gone and not posting on my account.

I just signed up today.  The first two rigs worked right away.  Now I lost 0.043763 BTC on my third order.  And no one on IRC is responding.

This place has a great potential for scammers as we can see. Try leaserig.net, the guy there has a good system in place against scammers, and i have not heard of 1 person being scammed over there

@mjajansen.

My friend dont accuse people for scamming if something went wrong with the service.

Im the owner of the ring...and ofc i didnt recieved any paymet.

If you read the FAQ of the service...the owner gets payed after the rental has been finished and all went smooth.

Apparently in our case something happened with the service. Since my ring never started to mine for you.

So i have never scammed you. IM sure Mux will refund you on the next manual payouts.
