That's not correct.  You can call "gettxoutsetinfo" on the core daemon to get the real amount (excluding coins on the map), which last I checked was around 23M (as expected).

Why does Cryptoid show those coin counts? Does it have to do with gameplay? Is there a reason the progression is not steady?

It's possibly related to when you create a hunter, those coins are locked and no longer spendable ever again. when a player is refunded or killed, those coins are then generated/minted and put back into the coin supply. It's probably totalling up everything including the locked/destroyed coins.

The total supply is approx = ((block height * 10)+85000) - (amount of coins not generated when the Crown of fortune was not held)

There is also a lot of coins from the cost of destructs which was to be used for things like NPCs etc in some future update.

IF you use the old client (not the one based on bitcoin core, the ancient one), domob implemented an rpc that counts and verifies the number of coins (what there should be vs what there is).

Great to see Huntercoin made the list... although I'm concerned why it's preceded by two games that are crypto games (NOT blockchain games) and a crypto collectibles dapp. The only Magic Academy, Huntercoin, and Megacryptopolis are blockchain games and only one of those three is actually running live. Need a hint as to which one that is?

Miners and everyone should update to version 0.16.0. This fixes the critical upstream bitcoin bug.

Here's the processed data for the HUC snapshot (based on rounding down to full HUCs and then giving 0.23338 CHI per full HUC).
It also includes the HUC and CHI addresses, so people can find their HUC address and look up which CHI address we'll send the coins to.
