im a newbie here and could you tell me the relationship between HUC and XAYA?
many thanks

XAYA is a new and more general, advanced project run by the Huntercoin team (including snailbrain who invented blockchain gaming with Huntercoin).  We want to take the learnings from the Huntercoin experiment to the next level with XAYA - but of course, Huntercoin itself is still live and prospering as well.

There was a snapshot for giving CHI to HUC holders, but that was already last year - so if you buy HUC now, unfortunately you won't get CHI for it.

snailbrain "The Original Huntercoin Developer" Suddenly died from a Brain aneurysm (R.I.P) as the story goes back in 2014 and the handle was picked up by his good friend that had access prior, see where I'm going...

Also I'm pretty sure that Blockchain Gaming was successfully incorporated into various Altcoins prior to HUC, on-chain, off-chain..... all those game setup scripts and edited code are kept close to chests and if you do end up finding or purchasing chances are they will be loaded with a R.A.T or backdoor.

I can do a wallet update for you guys if there's BTC funding for it. I've done 2 successful updates from old code versions to 0.15.1. If interested, please PM me and send me your offer.

Seems you didn't even bother to check our code - it is already on the 0.16 development version (so beyond 0.15.1).

I had my HUC on Poloniex at the time... Have they announced any plans for sharing the CHI with users?

We've just been notified that poloniex will allow the CHI withdrawal from their exchange.

You'll need to wait till the end of the main sale before you get it though (when we know the total supply).

I think this will be a very high-quality game with a lot of opportunities and colorful graffiti! Good luck to the developers and the whole team in their hard work!

Color me impressed.  I can barely withdraw my own legit coins off Poloniex.

So is HUC dead then?  CHI is the new premined "fork" (for a whopping 4.5% of HUC snapshot) that is being pushed in this thread?

Perhaps creating a new thread or changing the topic?

Hi
Help with the purse.
I picked up the latest version of 0.15.99.1. And I'm trying to mine coins on a scrypt only pool does not see the network and complexity. Only produces sha256. All the blocks found by me are rejected.

He Steven,

nope not dead Smiley
HUC has just had it's code base synced with latest bitcoin core

we've not had a much time recently to update the mechanics but we do plan on doing so in the future. Have to remember that Huntercoin is a voluntary opensource project with no/little funding, initially funded by myself as a "bed room" project.

XAYA is a new blockchain and we offered a "FREE" airdrop to HUC owners last year and some people had coins on poloniex at the snapshot time.
Poloniex had not responded due to it being taken over by circle i guess (and being busy).
Huntercoin community members were "concerned".

Poloniex have now confirmed they will allow people to withdraw their CHI.

That's not correct.  You can call "gettxoutsetinfo" on the core daemon to get the real amount (excluding coins on the map), which last I checked was around 23M (as expected).

Why does Cryptoid show those coin counts? Does it have to do with gameplay? Is there a reason the progression is not steady?

One person said it could be some kind of refund for gameplay and this transaction https://chainz.cryptoid.info/huc/tx.dws?35715651.htm might be an example? It needs somebody more knowledgeable than me to provide an opinion.

It's possibly related to when you create a hunter, those coins are locked and no longer spendable ever again. when a player is refunded or killed, those coins are then generated/minted and put back into the coin supply. It's probably totalling up everything including the locked/destroyed coins.

The total supply is approx = ((block height * 10)+85000) - (amount of coins not generated when the Crown of fortune was not held)

There is also a lot of coins from the cost of destructs which was to be used for things like NPCs etc in some future update.

IF you use the old client (not the one based on bitcoin core, the ancient one), domob implemented an rpc that counts and verifies the number of coins (what there should be vs what there is).

I covered Huntercoin in my presentation at the Blockchain Game Summit about the history of blockchain gaming... the dominator makes a great story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElPvmDrFF7I
