There's a bot on Poloniex. I was screwing with it earlier, and it's predictable. But yeah... bots in game, and bots on the exchanges.

Before the fork, the price was ~5x higher. It was ~0.001 btc. Then the fork. Cryptorush froze HUC. Confidence dropped, and still hasn't recovered. At least, that's how it looks to me.

I don't have much faith in Cryptorush. They have other problems. It's not a matter of confidence. It's a matter of the map being controlled by bots right now, and no competition for the coins. What we need is more bots and some user-friendly programmable bots for regular players.

i.e. We are a long way away from restoring Huntercoin to being the friendlier game that it used to be.

As I said before, I was screwing with a bot on the exchange. It will sell for any price. You only need to push it down, which isn't hard. I dropped the price of HUC by over 20% screwing with that bot, then I removed orders and left the market with a 30% spread.

We need a centralized server solution that runs 24 hours a day with programmable bot-behaviour for regular players. That would help even the playing field. Right now the big problem is humans must be AFK for things like sleeping, work, taking a dump, etc. Bots can run 24/7. But if we can level that playing field, Huntercoin can be a seriously amazing game for human players, and not just botters.

FWIW - Someone is buying up shit-tonnes of HUC. I've seen some seriously big orders placed, and filled. People are keeping their buys off the books and inserting them in a timed fashion so as not to draw much attention. Unless you're watching at the time...

This is starting to look like the beginning of a pump. i.e. The phase where whales come in and push the prices down to buy up cheap coins before they pump it sky high. That's what happened with DOGE. They pushed it down under 30 satoshis by soaking up everything the miners could mine. They bled the miners dry then went to town and pumped it up 10x.

I put orders below the bot then waited for it to drop its orders. It takes a few minutes, but it removes & replaces orders consistently lower until it is 1 satoshi under you.

It places orders in 2 lots. 1 order is for 4.xxxx HUC, and the second is for 6xx.xxxx HUC. You just place a larger order below the 6xx.xxx order, and another for like 2 HUC under the 4.xxx order. The bot will consistently drop its orders below you.

But, that's about all there is to screwing with that bot. You need around 500 HUC or so to mess with it. Maybe less - dunno - I was placing all kinds of orders around, and never tested the minimum I needed to screw with it.

I realize I am a minority, but feel this is as big as a problem as those complaining about bots. If you have 100 characters all AFK on a coin spawn, what is the point? The ROI in time is very small. Now if you go in and destruct those AFKs, grab their coin and clear them out to get new coins, your ROI in time is much much better. Who would have thought we would be seeking peace in a game with "hunter" in its name.

I can also tell you that this scenario was predicted before release..
1st week will see a big spike in value, it will then eventually bottom out, and then eventually gradually increase, we haven't got to that part yet, if that part comes true )

Huntercoin is far from dead, it's still a baby. The amount of work going into huntercoin is "a lot".

You can now buy a good % of coins for a low value.

either way, if people want to sell it's up to them... let them. Telling people not to sell doesn't work.

Also, maybe will be more expensive to move bots one square just to re-align for no reason.

I have been playing with the idea of attacking obvious bots when they have taken over a coin spawn area. I thought it was happening a couple nights ago at the top center .75 coin spawn. I write some quick code and ran it, but I didn't see how effective it was. Since then I have tuned their behavior a little and am looking to try this again. I realize the center is potentially a bot problem, but the solution for that is more than I can handle since its a long term battle.

I feel like there should be some sort of timeout also for players that are no longer active. I was thinking for putting some cleaner bots out there that would compare the gamestate to a 1000 block old gamestate and go after the general that has had no activity including its minions (of course getting them in spawn would be tough). The ROI is low but at least it would cleanse the board a little.

The 10000 block timeout for any player wouldn't personally bother me much. I don't know what the average lifespan of a BGB bot is, but its far less than 10000 blocks.
