Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Good to know there is a fee for every single movement
Cos bot has more movement which is 7000+ (50 teams)for two day's running
individual will not have such amount

My client has 18000+ transactions which already mine 2000 coins

if nothing is done, price keeps dropping, more people will leave. I guess you guys can attract new players, but are they enough to replace old players? Or will it be only bots vs bots? If only bots vs bots, then it lost the attraction of 'human-minable coin". Come on, for all other coins, it's also human running the commands so that the computer/GPU/whatsoever start to mine (they may only need to do it once and check on time to time, but it's human running as well). This is the only coin that human can sit and do a few moves and get coins, so there's the difference. But now you guys are turning it back to the normal machine-mined coins! (bots has intelligence behind it but it is machine still!).

then we have bots selling (not letting anyone sell by keeping putting order a tad lower so bot order is always on top), so frustrated, so what you do when you desperately want to sell? You dump it on the buy order book! And tell me why the price not going down!!!!!!!!!!

no positive news for a while (except mithril man edition, which is still read-only), no more new exchange (whereby i see all other shit coins get on all sort of exchanges around, any time they go in a new exchange, there is a push for price, etc.).

so far this coin seems only have 3 mining pools also. shouldn't it be more?

if HUC price falls further and further (say, 0.0000010 or something around there), do you guys think those mining pools will continue to support HUC?

Investment is long-term, snailbrain, i know you keep saying so. But as I notice from beginning, this coin is way under marketing, the whole team is basically you (well, you run almost everything and the only chain to link everyone together). And you are overworked and underpaid (or get zero pay). I really feel for you and respect you. But from another viewpoint, how feasible is this project in the long run? I don't know!

sorry -- frustration, i need to vent!

I'm glad you also see it like this.  I believe that the fee will really help both reduce blockchain spam and in particular hurt bots much more than ordinary players; this is the reason why I implemented it.  As you said, there are lots of bots who do lots of "unnecessary" moves, which would hopefully be avoided by the fee.  Also, humans who come online twice a day to send a few hunters to a coin spot and back won't be hit much be the fee (a few cents per day or something), while bots who are continuously online and moving the hunters around have to pay much more.  This helps to level the playing field at least a bit.

On a different note:  I could open source my own bot code written in PHP.  Should I do so?  It is not really intelligent (since I didn't modify it much since right after the initial version which I wrote shortly after Huntercoin's launch already), but it still makes a little profit if the bots are maintained from time to time and it could serve as a basis for others who want to try themselves.  I agree that it will possibly help to give casual users the possibility to also control some bots.  (Besides that I also think Mithril Man's client will be great to have, especially if it includes more in-game intelligence and rudimentary bot features eventually!)

Now more and more humans AFK, hopefully it will be the best solution, at lease bots should pay for 24 hours running

We got free version of bots script a week ago, but  barely income, any sharing will be helpful, the human can choose the right tool for not only mining also atk

Reducing the workload, to be a hunter.

totally agreed, there is nothing more to say, it is a pity i had so much faith in HUC i played like 8-10 hours every day, but im not playing anymore, mostly because of the bots, im gonna check this thread from time to time but thats it, im gonna hold onto my couple thousand hucs and wait for a miracle... sad...

I believe that we need to make the life of General 48h and it must be done as quickly as possible. For a man, it would be quite normal, but for bots will be a big hit.

I ran a diff between 1000, 5000, and 10000 blocks ago for "dead" players. Meaning that the general nor any of its members has moved.

1000 Blocks ago: 5302 Generals = 40%
5000 Blocks ago: 2994 Generals = 23%
10000 Blocks ago: 2009 Generals = 15%

P.S.

I created a new bot which will be named "DEAD" that will act like my paired hunter bots that will only seek the players that make the dead 10000 block list. They will also search for easy loot along the way. They will try to get the .96 from the dead general. Any coins they get will be sent to the DEV HUC donation address.

almost,
there will be a minimum tx fee for name_updates of 0.01 (this will be automatically deducted).
Any name_updates which are sent without the 0.01 minimum fee (or more if a large tx) will be rejected by those that have updated.
When the miners update, those players that haven't will probably see stuck pending tx - they will need to upgrade and delete the tx.
The fee will go to the hardware miners, there was some mention of possibly destroying the fee, reducing the total amount of coins, but it requires a lot more thought.
The new fee can be considered temporary.
Maybe tomorrow we will roll out

ha, i must say it did feel like that at one point.

But honestly, now, things are progressing very rapidly, the work load has been spread out, i'm not the only person involved or making decisions.

Bots:
There is going to be bots whether we like it or not, even if it was BF4
There is obviously a lot of them.. the fee may make it more expensive to run armies, and possibly natural disasters causing a sort of reset may help - welcome to post your thoughts http://forum.huntercoin.org/index.php?board=5.0

I think, now that all that nasty forking is done, HUC needs to get on other/more exchanges.

Haha so far this has been my worst investment ever in cryptocurrency land.  I did throw them in cold storage right away because I believe in the long term idea.   Wont be trading them away.  There must be a bottom somewhere?  Cheesy
