I guess the only question left to the general community is whether or not there are others who are now pretty much unable to use Eligius reliably, as it my case. I mainly want to know this out of curiosity. i hope that others are not having the same level of difficulty connecting and using the pool without incident. i don't wish that on anyone except maybe the odd troll or two. Wink

I'm mining reliably with Ants (S1) w/o an issue, unless you call consistent bad luck an issue.  Sometimes I can't get to the stats, but they keep mining anyhow.

M

nah, bad luck is just part of the larger equation. i can live with bad luck. the pool i switched to hasn't had the best luck either, major swings in 24 hr earnings. if you're still able to mine at the pool, that sounds good enough.i should have also mentioned that I have a few TechnoBits, and they stayed connected somehow. makes no sense to me. maybe i should sell off everything and buy Ants. I mine with two KNC Saturns and have found that they are running best with Firmware revision 1.0. Other Firmware versions didn't sit too well with mine causing resets and the device hanging. As a side note mine run with CGMiner and not having the tick box selected for BGMiner on the settings page. I have no probs at all with keeping them at Eligius and also no probs with 9 X Ant S1's or my little KNC Avalon 60 or my 3 X BFL little single 60's. If you want me to check any of my settings on my KNC's let me know and I'll post them for you.

First: I love Eligius. I appreciate the work wizkid is doing, and until recently, I never had a problem. However, since a couple of days, my two Dragons aren't behaving well on Eligius. The Ants do their work like little Ants should. But the Dragons dropped from 1+ Th/s to 800 Gh/s. Changing the difficulty, playing around with the switch, changing cables - nothing changed anything. Out of curiosity, I switched the Dragons and two Ants which were working with a very constant hash rate to another pool. At this other pool, the Ants showed the same rate as with Eligius, but the Dragons both showed again 1+ Th/s.

So I really don't know if this is a stats-problem due to the ddos - which I doubt - or if there is something else going on.

All my miners of varying types are under reporting the total hashrate on the Eligius Stats page but my earnings are spot on. I would say it's the continuous 3 plus weeks of DDoS. If my earnings dropped by 20 percent I'd know about it and ask questions. They are correct for the actual number of block versus my percentage of each block and then the total blocks cracked by us on Eligius.

I'm not worried by just the Stat's but I can appreciate if you have new gear like the Dragon then the first thing you are going to do is worry about your kit and then when you check it's all right, the pool.

Where did you order the Dragon from? With every new hardware offering there are like 10k sites boasting they have it ready to ship and then we have to spend months vetting and finding the scams...

Hey guys,

I've been mining at Eligius for one month now.
Since the first week, I gave up a NMC adress, hoping I would also get some NMC in the process of mining bitcoin.

As of now, I still have 0 NMC in my wallet.

Is this normal? Or did I do something wrong in my wallet settings?

Thanks!!

I think NMC mining is working, its just payouts aren't working.

in other words you'll be back paid for time you've merged mined NMC, by providing an NMC wallet address in 'configurable options'

give wizkid time to sort it out  Wink

I have no idea how long it takes to fix.. but it has been over a month at least, if im correct?

Yea, my last NMC transaction from Eligius was on 09/03/2014.
But WK has been tied up fighting this massive long-running DDoS, which I don't understand why it has gone on so long for.
Anyway, I trust WK will get around to fixing NMC eventually but I understand that this in itself is a non-trivial fix so would take some time on its own even without the DDoS.
I just look forwards to a big NMC payout in the (hopefully) not too far distant future.
And qdos to WK for fighting the good fight aginst the mother of all DDoS's.

I've been mining here all the time and I also trust him to do it as soon as possible. But I just wanted to know if the 1 month was normal, apparantly it is. Good!

Now, how do I know if my adress is correctly set up? Will I lose all my collected NMC if I try to redo the signature with thesame adress?

Tjseee...  I just checked, but I haven't had a NMC payout since March-9 !

I really hope this can be solved quickly (it's a nice amount by now  Smiley and use it to donate)

I know it's a fairly trivial amount 0.00943633 - but the web site has been saying this for 2 days now:

If you remain inactive, and the pool does not pay towards any of your shelved shares, then you will be eligible for a payout of your balance (which is less than the automatic payout threshhold of 0.01048576 BTC) in a manual payout no sooner than a few seconds from now.

This is after waiting for a week for the manual payment...

Is this normal?

Still saying in a few seconds...

Me too.  Been "no sooner than a few seconds" for a couple days now.  I'm not worried though.  Looks like it means it about it having to be a manual payout which I guess means WK needs to pop in and do it.  It'll happen.  Don't worry.

My antminer S1 is configured with the exact same eligius details for primary and secondary and then I have a different pool for the third one.  Over time I notice that it seems to "leak" hashes to the second one, and very occasionally to the third one.  But the third one gets like just a handful of diff 128 shares in a few days time.  The fact that it goes to the second pool configured, which as I mentioned is identical to the first, is strange.  I am thinking it sees some sort of hiccup and switches but since the second pool is identical to the first that "hiccup" must be short indeed since it is then able to mine on the same address at the same pool as the primary.  I also like how these things switch back right away if the primary pool is available.

If you are seeing lots of switchover to backup you might try just configuring the backup the same as the primary and see if it actually keeps it mining on eligius.

I had some other smaller miners (asicminer cubes) setup on eligius too but I never configured a failover on those and they seemed to do just fine with the bfgminer proxy.

It should tell you on the stats page of your address when the shares will be payed.
I don't think there is a way to cut the queue short by requesting a manual payout.

Well that's the thing... for many days it has been saying the same thing on my stats page:

"you will be eligible for a payout of your balance in a manual payout no sooner than a few seconds from now."

Those must be very long seconds... maybe planet venus seconds or something...  Roll Eyes
