15 hours, 19 hours, now 16 - I understand that a pool will have periods with bad luck. But this bad?
Well, it used to be worse, at times...  Roll Eyes
Just be patient, rain is always followed by nice weather.

Well, as long as the rain is not followed by snow :-)

Phew, finally! 3 blocks in the last 57 hours. That's some ridiculously unfortunate luck! And my hashrate dropped over the course of that last block, so although I was in the payout queue before, I got bumped into -this- block for payout. So my wallet hasn't seen any activity in way too long!

Here's to some extra lucky blocks coming up! Hopefully after I fix my power situation and get them all hashing again!

I noticed that almost nothing accrued between yesterday and today.
I see others complaining as well. Is it all luck or something else.

It's awful luck.  Remember this is a CPPSRB pool, which means our shares are shelved.  We'll get them back when luck turns.

Walking under a ladder, breaking a mirror, and stepping on cracks are well known to affect luck. I'm assuming that most eligius miners have been doing these three things very often over the past few days.

I would not exclude a herd of black cats crossing the alleys of the data center either...

It is inevitable to have luck like this once in a while. There's no foul play, just statistics. No use whining about it. You won't earn more by moving to other pools.

im not planning to leave pool, but there is some attack on this pool previously.

maybe   some info about individual miner luck should be shown on http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/topcontributors.php so we can check each miner's luck Huh

btw is it possible to form team of miner or something like that which in essence that honest miner with consistent yield can be rewarded

I apologize for my noob ignorance of this, but could you please elaborate on what individual miner luck is? I thought "luck" is just an abstract representation on how fast a block is found by the pool compared to an expected average based on current difficulty and world wide hashing power. And I also thought that I should be happy when people with large datacenters in secret bunkers get 'lucky' for the pool, so then people like me, with a few miners in a closet and a large electric bill (and with better chance to win the state lottery than ever finding a block) get paid. Does it give you any advantage to be the one who found the block for the pool (i.e. the 'lucky one') other than your address being displayed on the hall of fame? Thanks for helping a noob understand things.

And I also thought that I should be happy when people with large datacenters in secret bunkers get 'lucky' for the pool, so then people like me, with a few miners in a closet and a large electric bill (and with better chance to win the state lottery than ever finding a block) get paid. Individual miners still have luck, in that they're expecting a certain number of diff1 (or diffX) shares based on their hashrate, and the actual number they find will be different from that. Eligius can't list that though, as they don't really know what your actual hashrate is, just the number of shares you submit. They could list the variance, but that's about it.
What they could list is the number of found blocks vs the number of submitted shares. Unfortunately it would only be applicable for the very largest miners, the variance would be so high for everyone else that it would be kind of pointless.

The bad luck is all my fault.  I have been depressed, and when that happens street lights go out when I walk by, and Eligius gets far fewer blocks that it usually does.  The good news is that, when I am in a good mood, the luck increases and lights come back on all over the city.

You can test this by sending 1 or 2 BTC to my address 1LordWontYouBuyMeAMercedezBenz

I try to be respectful and informed.
