Is there no easy way to see the total combined luck for a time period?

Is there no easy way to see the total combined luck for a time period? My windows monitoring app shows it (see my sig). As of now Eligius is at: 10 blocks: 67.48% 12 hours: 31.29% 24 hours: 35.28% 7 days: 88.6% 30 days: 89.64% 90 days: 96.79% M

I'll give it a try using Mono, but it would be cool to have something like this that's cross-platform (python maybe). I found your github repo, I might take a look at it, I'm not really a great programmer by any means, but it'd be cool if it could be refactored into something more portable.

The information is available in the APIs from Eligius. I'm not doing anything fancy, just manipulating the data made publicly available. I hear you about Windows only. The thing is, it's really easy in .net, which is why I did it. I've never seen anything simple in Linux land. I'm currently exploring other options, namely in the portable device arena, but no promises there. M

It's easy enough to do in Excel. Just copy and paste the stuff from the Blocks page into Excel, and do some math with it. I just worked out a decent worksheet, although it's got a few problems so I won't give directions for it yet, but I'll try to clean it up and post the formulas here within a couple of days.

Thanks. But wow, that is truly abysmal. What are the odds that the luck is that skewed from the expectation over the course 30 days =~ 4320 blocks? Must be fractions of a percent.

P(X > 1/0.8964 | n = 130) = 0.9 ie you can expect worse luck than this in ten percent of 130 block sequences.

I see a large variation in btc accrued vs work done in the last few weeks. Examples: Just on one worker 12/4-12/11-0.23 BTC paid instead of ~0.4 expected at 0.058/day that your statistics shows (0.17 BTC missing or 42%) 12/15-12/21-0.25 BTC accrued (not paid yet), but ~0.34-35 was expected (0.1 BTC missing or 29%)
You cannot attribute bad luck to weeks and weeks of work. I "lost" 0.27 BTC of legitimate revenue in the last 17 days just counting one worker
What is going on Eligius?

Actually it can be attributed to bad luck. It's also possible a block with-holding attack is going on in a manner that can't be detected. M

Pardon if I'm posting in the wrong section... Looking for help with Eligius API. With no JSON expertise at all, my objective is to return "raw" comma delimited *CURRENT* public stats. I found "PAST" block info using: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/api.php?cmd=getblocks&limit=1&format=csv&csvastext=1luck,confirmations,blockhash,height,duration,age,roundstart,roundend,hashrate,... 36.825168438117,1,000000000000000007a3c7c6791d1a28241620035d4677fbe65c97853efa48a4,335277,...
And the format it returns is what I want... but... I'm looking for real time current Pool Hashrate; Round Time(duration); and current Round Luck as displayed on the main Eligius page. The data from the query above is last block/round, not current round. I wanting to call directly from a browser and return raw data exactly as with the "getblocks" above using the cvsastext format. Would anyone have the correct http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/api.php?cmd= I would use for CURRENT info? Thanks in advance for any direction you can provide.

Have you seen it? If it is pure statistics, this should be symmetrical, isn't it?

I did recently look at BTC Guild. It's pretty bad there too: 24H - 126.98% 3day - 93.97% 1w - 92.32% 2w - 93.03% 1m - 93.71% 3m - 91.27% all time - 97.51% M
