Dunno about that..  Liverpool wasn't looking good towards the end of last season and there will be no fans.  Leeds won't be intimidated as much imho.  And Bielsa is a good manager.  I think it's gonna be a competitive match.

I admit that Liverpool was not good in last few matches in the last EPL after they confirmed their title. But it was after confirming their title. So it's easily understandable. We are going to start a fresh season and until we have a good position in the table we will not rest. If this was a match against City then I would worried but against Leeds, we will have a very comfortable win.

The 3 goal difference is exactly what I have in mind and in the prediction! I'm not very good at this and still in the stage of experimenting with various bets, approaches and strategies, but I hope to do fine with my predictions this season. I'm with sworegino here, hoping to get some beginner's luck

So Liverpool doesn't have a part (not all of it because they're playing near home, not getting tired from a short but present travel) of what constitutes the home advantage. But they still have a huge chance of winning this one, don't they?

Last call for anyone wanting to join the pool. There's a little less than 4 hours to go before the start of the first game and over six before the next one at 3 o clock so missing one wouldn't matter too much especially as some people will get that game wrong. If anyone wants to play but doesn't have the money yet I will give you a month's grace period to join so as long as you pay by the 12th you won't be removed. I think Liverpool should win comfortably but Leeds will obviously be fired up and wanting to get something from this game. Maybe they can take advantage of there being no fans. I'll be watching the Leeds game today probably along with the opening one of Fulham v Arsenal just to see how they get on.

Watford did not play that bad as it looked at the point table in the last PL, they were just unlucky in the matches to lose points with very close fight. Yesterday I was not confident enough. They messed up with even 2 - 0 leads few times in the past. But all ended good. Starting with full 3 points is always a booster. Hopefully we will see them at the top and in the next PL.

anyone watching the game? Sounthampton's backline is playing so high up the pitch, i'm surprised the scoreline is only 1-0, the other team should be having a field day with counter attacks, but then again, that other team is Palace, can't expect much from then  strange tactics from The Saints, tho
