I didn't do too bad this round getting 8.5 points and coming 30th out of 50 but still ended up rock bottom on the table  . I didn't bother watching the Liverpool game as I thought it would be boring and an safe Liverpool win. What happened to them? Nobody picked the Villa win and only one person went for the draw. Villa are now second in the table with a game in hand. Everton are in first place right now and they've playing Liverpool in the first game next round. Now that will be a game to watch.

They just had their worst collective night ever under Klopp. Only Salah and Firmino were good. Jota might have been a bit more greedy he wasn't too bad either. Our CBs were horrendous and then the back four keep putting unnecessary pressure on Adrian knowing he's not the best with his feet.

I commented already in the PL thread, I don't remember being this angry about a game in a while. The feeling just won't go away, I'm even more mad now than I was while watching.

It was like a 'perfect storm' scenario, but the thing is that we have really grown as a team in recent years. The way we fell apart is tough to take, I thought we are past these kind of breakdowns.
We were like a bunch of horny teenage girls on a Justin Bieber concert. Everybody rushing God knows where to do God knows what. Horrible.

Liverpool did not win at Goodison since 2016, Everton did not scored in City derby on Goodison since 2015 (so last three matches were 0:0), and Everton did not win at Goodison against Liverpool since 2010, seems that this is the right moment to win

Enjoy your day in the sun my friend. I have to say it's about time both sides of Mersey conquer the EPL, like the good old days eh? Of course, we want that top spot but it's to be taken, not given. Look forward to the meeting, it hasn't always been vintage in the days without Gerrard or Carragher but I think we've had quite a bit of fun in recent seasons. I remember Origi madness;) So many historical records, but hey, I love a good old derby day bone-crunching rivalry. Let's play football!

Everton deserves 1st position. After the first four rounds, they showed the best performance and to my surprise, very efficient football, plus new signings adapted very quickly. they are no longer boring to watch as in previous season. who knows, maybe they can repeat Leicester champion season. It will be very hard to predict Liverpool derby.
Leeds also left a very good impression on me, if we take into account that they played two very difficult matches vs. Liverpool and Man. City.

The whole of Europe is taking two weeks off. It happens every now and then to allow the players to take up international duties with their respective teams. This is usually for World Cup qualifiers or Euro. There's a new format now called Nations League but that's really just replacing the international friendlies, and helps some smaller countries qualify for Euro.

International football sucks, I always hate it when we have to have 2 weeks off from the PL football so the international games can be played. It’s especially bad when my team got humped by Aston Villa 7-2 & I just want to erase that memory by playing the next game.

Absolutely haha. I'm terrible terrible in EPL Bitcointalk pool ever since I tried, and it's only when you compete against fellow "pros" that you realize how little you know;) I do a bit better in La Liga since I follow that more but I always thought I knew better overall about EPL. Then the pool positions show you how little you actually know;)

There's just too much football to try to cram it all in every year. I was thinking that they should play the internationals in between domestic seasons but there's probably not enough time for that either with international tournaments like the Euros and World cup and now obviously the Nation's League. It's just all about money at the end of the day and milking everything for the TV rights. Look at the what they've done to the future world cup... they've extended it from 32 teams to 48 which is just ridiculous. All it means is 16 extra shit teams will go through and you get to see them get spanked whilst the tournament goes on for an extra week or two and all so they can get more money from advertisers and broadcasters. They should probably look at scrapping certain domestic cups or playing them maybe once every two years or something but again probably just all comes down to money. Most big teams don't even seem to take them serious these days either. I dare say they'll probably dream up even more leagues and cups eventually. I know there was talk about doing some sort of European super league like with the best teams from all Europe playing each other all season but that would be hard to pull off I reckon: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Super_League_(association_football)

So no rolando in the UEFA play for portugal then? What a shame clubs do this to their players under contract. If they want to play for their country. But it is what it is.

Ugh..  Good luck next weekend.  Everton's Calvert-Lewin is running pretty hot with the goal scoring.  He could win the golden boot this season imo.  I was thinking it would be Auba since he's captain (?) and would prolly play all league matches.  Looks like I'm wrong...  again.  Lol.

This isn't true. Ronaldo played in the friendly game against Spain this week and if he plays in a friendly then he'll almost certainly be playing in the Nations League game tomorrow. I'm not even sure clubs can withhold players like this, otherwise they would probably just do it all the time as they don't want to risk them getting inured. The only people who probably have a say whether they're playing or not is the players themselves. I'm sure I remember Ronaldo missing a few pointless international games before whilst he's been on sunning it up on holiday. He might have even missed some games for Real or Juve when they've not mattered as well.
