9th place, sounds so far away but at least I'm not any longer in the bottom table, just in the bottom half now at 29th place;) But still, improving every week and if you see distance from me to 10th place is only 9 points, which is 10.5 points away from 1st place. 20 points to the top, but one good yellow cap week and that can all be changed. Tough, so tough!
It’s still so early in the season, the table really doesn’t matter atm. The season before the last one I was in the middle at Christmas but still won it. Anything less than 30 points from 1st place atm can still win the pool. You don’t have to win any way though, there are prizes all the way down to 10th.

I am very happy with my performance so far. 11th position is just outside the prizes and I have usually finished these Premier League predictors in the middle of the table so this is a step in right direction. And we are back on National team games and break in all the major leagues. Have a feeling this will stop my nice run in the green, last week was was exceptionally good for me and now it would be best to just not place any bets. Yeah, not gonna happen

Yeah, don't worry guys, plenty of fun in this season left and every round a prize to win. 10 points is nothing, 3 solid picks and a slam point and you're covered;)
Just to give you an idea of how tough this group is, I'm actually placed quite "high" in other pools -- 10/518 in one, and currently 1,372 out of 14k in the Liverpool Fans pool.
Last season I was in a few other pools too (I just accept random invites heh) and also did quite well, compared to this one.
Bastards, all of you.

I finished 9th place for the week and I'm 9th on the overall leaderboard as well, tied points with Buyawtress (I guess). It's another week on the on sideline for club sides football, I foresee a boring weekend I prefer domestics but there's often at least a game or two I'm interested in from the internationals. Belgium are playing England. Belgium probably have one of the best teams on paper but haven't lived up to that yet but I'm hoping they will at some point. The table is always pretty close as there's not much difference in points between a correct score and outcome. That's one criticism I have of superbru. I think getting a correct score should get you more than 3 points. Maybe 5. I think back when we used the BBC site first they gave 10 points for a correct outcome and 40 or 50 for the exact score which is better in my opinion. That gives you some boost in getting the correct score right whilst it's only marginal with 3 points compared to 1 or 1.5 for the outcome. I wouldn't concern yourself too much with placement right now just aim for consistency and that yellow cap. I was mid table for most of last season, then crept up gradually to take the fifth place spot for the last few rounds then lost it on the last match day and ended up eighth.

In previous season winner had more than 400 points I think. So there is still a lot at stake here and everything is possible. I remember when we start 19/20 season, hilariousetc and LFC_Bitcoin taking a top of the table with a yellow cap or close in almost every round, I was thinking that is over, one of them is a winner for sure, but then others began to make good picks. I was second at one moment just a few points behind, in the end, I didn’t even finish in the top ten. So everything is possible, especially with crazy games like we saw in the first eight rounds.

I just remember that I did really badly in the last season, no matter how I tried to change my picks every week. Can't remember but I was very close to the bottom, even some who didn't really seem to be active were above me:) I think everyone in the league now is still struggling to play in new circumstances (the same is happening everywhere in La Liga, Bundesliga etc). I'll be very happy to get a paid position as it'll be a huge improvement for me:)

I don't even log on to check my performance after the games. I did today, and oh boy - I won't be doing it soon again.
It has to be said - I'm showing incredible consistency though. It's almost as hard to miss them all as it is to guess them correctly.

Still 30 rounds of matches to go, stick at it my friend. Probably even 3 or 4 good scoring rounds in a riw can fire you right up the table.

I will, I'm having fun with it even when I'm not getting anything right. There's always a freebet reward to play for, and since most results were out of the ordinary the difference between the 1st and the last place is a lot less than I thought it would be at this point. As you said, 2-3 good rounds and I can be as high as the paying spots already. But I have to say, it feels shitty to be the bottom 3 one round after another

This two week PL hiatus is no fun; but at least it gives us plenty of time to research our picks I'm currently sitting in #4; and only 7.5 points from the lead. November 21 can not get here soon enough!

@all LFC supporters out there
You guys really got an extraordinary run of bad luck lately. First Salah with corona and then Robertson and now I hear even Henderson got injured. So that is now whole first team defense (Robertson, Dijk, Gomez, Arnold) + Fabihno, then you are missing Thiago, Henderson and Salah. Who is gonna play?
Good thing Jota started really well so attack should be more than fine, midfield you can sort of also make work but defense is a total problem IMHO.

November 21 can not get here soon enough! It is always boring to death in normal conditions without Premier League action. When we are in a competition it gets even more boring.I too can’t wait for 21 November because from what I have seen during these first weeks the standings change really often week after week so I hope to go up some places in the standings.

The league couldn't be more open right now which is a good thing in my opinion. Liverpool probably won't win it due to all their injuries. City have been very inconsistent and have drawn three games out of their last five. Leeds and Everton were doing very well but both have three losses out of their last five. Leicester are currently first but I don't think they've got the squad or stamina to keep it up. Spurs and Chelsea haven't been playing too bad but not looking unbeatable though I wouldn't put money on them. Southampton are currently fourth and only two points behind first place but you'd be foolish to think they'll be able to keep up their current form for the entire season, so I've no idea who will end up winning it.

Yeah, I put my provisional scores in before the international break and I've gone for many draws including two from the ones above but I'll likely change some though it will be hard to decide which ones. I've provisionally backed Liverpool to win at home but I might go for another draw given Liverpool's injuries. They still might be too strong for them at home though. Not long to go until we do battle again I despise the international breaks, thankfully this is the last one until March now. Glad to be back to the PL & our pool again this weekend coming. They should probably scrap the international breaks and just do them at the end of the season in the years where there's no EUROs or World Cup. Managers are already complaining about domestic congestion and the internationals just make it worse as they have to then play catch up at some point which then leads to teams playing 2 or 3 games a week at some point.

@hilarious Agreed, I’m not a fan of international football at the best of times but this year especially it should have all been scrapped except possibly the qualifiers for the Euro’s. Under no circumstance should the Nations League & friendlies be taking place when we are in a global pandemic.

Yeah, it's a bit silly really. The Euros were scrapped this year so they should have just done the same with the pointless Nation's League which are just gloried friendlies anyway. The EUROs would have actually been much safer because the games are all in the same country and the individual groups are all in the same place so you could easily quarantine teams and not have them flying all over Europe like what is happening with the Nation's League and other friendly games. We really don't need them now with everything that's going on so they should have just scrapped them this but I guess money talks and they don't want to lose out on all the broadcasting rights. It annoyed me that Sky bought up the rights to the Nation's League when it was created. International team games have always been on free-to-air TV over here in the UK but this whole Nation's League thing just seems like another cash grab and to try give friendly games some value and meaning. Luckily I have the German Dazn and that shows all of them, not that I'm interested in most of them, but I usually watch the England games and if there's any other big match ups going on.
