i consider the no major setbacks so far for the forming of the MintCoin Fund as good news too ... so keep up the good work.

qwizzie

Ok so over and over the same half a dozen people repeat "this coin is amazing" "strong buy indicators" etc honestly nice sentiments but absolutely no evidence to support these claims. We have been languishing for quite a while now, what is being done to actually improve the value of mint? Donations and merchant acceptance are all well and good but historically they haven't done much to prices.

There's a plan, but we need MintCoin Fund to be official first.
Hi,

I was not much active on the thread recently. But I read every single post (I really do - and there are some that really warm my heart).

It is my pleasure to announce I received a letter from the French Administration (I could scan the letter, but since it is in French, I don't think it would be that interesting, plus the fact that I am already working on corrections). There is one good news and one bad news.
The bad news is there are some things they want me to modify. It is on the way.
The good news is that those things are minor ones. For the most part, the French administration is fine with Mintcoin Fund.

Of course, as long as it is not formally accepted by the fiscal administration, we could still get bad surprises. But so far, so good Smiley

Low price now doesn't mean low price in the future. Just be patient.
Low price now means we can buy much more mintcoins with the same money.
Be Patient!

Have you tried deleting everything in the folder, while backing up the wallet.dat to another location?
1. Backup wallet.dat to another location
2. Delete everything in the Mintcoin folder (C:Users\NJRiot\appdata\roaming\Mintcoin)
3. Delete the Mintcoin folder where you have the qt.exe
4. Install v.1.9.1, then sync
5. Delete the new wallet.dat that the installer creates
6. Put the backed up wallet.dat where it is supposed to go.
7. Check balance again.

mint coin ...no any future of this coin

Someone set up us the bomb.

I'd like to thank you mintcoin, for when I was choosing between you and blackcoin to put a nice early game investment down I chose you, and at that price you have remained.  Steady as a fucking rock, thank you mintcoin.

Mintcoins need to suffer many cycles of shuffle, then the bad player's cards will be rushed.

Did you try running "checkwallet" in debug window? It fixes 99% of the problems. If it reports anything, backup your wallet.dat, and run "repairwallet". (Make sure you're running on 1.8+ versions, 1.9.1 is better)

The numbers with Mintpal are pretty scary right now. Anyone who just jumped on Mintpal to look at buying MINTCOIN for the first time will see a gigantic, never-ending sea of sell walls.

The only thing that can plow through those kind of numbers is suddenly having a lot more adoption with a good percentage of people deciding to hold their coins instead of flipping them 10 sats higher than they bought them for.

The two things Mintcoin has looming that would be good for the coin are the Android wallet with PoS capability, and the Mintcoin fund.

Both of these things are great, but will be useless without wide-spread publicity. We will need marketing efforts to go along with the efforts already being put in to other aspects of the coin. We could build a giant Mintcoin Transformer that can fly, but the price of Mintcoin would not go up unless people knew about it.

Are there any plans already in place for developing media contacts, contracting article writers, getting large twitter accounts involved, etc? If the android wallet is close, there is greater need to get marketing ready now.

With the right exposure, we can all have a great time watching adoption, and thus price, rise.

We need some pretty Mintcoin cheerleaders or something.  Cheesy
