I apologize but how is this anywhere close to neck and neck? A 600btc difference being neck and neck is like saying the race between a cheetah and a human on foot finished neck and neck. I'm not bashing MINT at all, just curious as to why your wording it as neck and neck lol

I thought the same too, but there's a lot of warped idiots in crypto world

I am blunt, don't like it ? Too bad

Don't be so rude. Let him have hes fun. I'd guess, it was not about the number BTC traded, rather than about the gaining the 3rd place by volume.

MINT is now neck and neck with BC on the Mintpal list.
Just like old times.

He meant Giraffe's neck.  Grin Grin Grin Jokes aside, I'm glad Mint's volume is right below BC.

I received some PM which require a public answer, because I believe a lot of people are mistaken:

I am NOT a mintcoin dev. I am the founder of the first extended team (and probably the sole survivor, by the way). I have no access to the premine, since I am not a dev. I can only bring good will, 0% escrow services and some initiative like the Mintcoin Fund.

As you may imagine, it is not fun at all to be accused for something you are not guilty of. So please, next time someone mistakenly accuses me of "holding premine" or other things like that, please point him that I am not a dev, just an enthusiastic holder.

Thank you.

Thank you.

David is not a part of the development team. He has no access to the premine of 700,000,000 MINT. For all intents and purposes, he is a volunteer.

I was invited to join the Fund as a legal member, but I declined.

However, I will see how my fund options are and my time availability. If I feel the news that the developer releases has merit, I will launch a small ad campaign for the news and maybe it will go viral. I make no firm commitment to this though, just depending on how much merit the news has and how I feel about it. If it has room to bring in institutional investors, there could be something big here.

Thank you.

Just to clarify for everyone, we got:
- One dev with the premine, founder of mintcoin.
- David Latapie, volunteer and registrant of the mintcoin fund NGO.
- The mintcoin fund with a Board made up of between 3 and 9 members
- Moderators of mintcoin on social media like facebook, reddit and so on.
- And a few regular mintcoin enthusiasts, like me, writing posts, occasionally donating and making suggestions.

Is that right?

Who operates the mintcoin team account on this forum, the dev?

How will the NGO operate?

Will the fund convert donations to fiat and send it to redwood reforestation as a donation and be done with it? It's great to have a fund doing good but it's prime goal is to help AND create awareness. So it would be great if we can have someone out there holding a check with a big mintcoin logo on it and the photo will show up in the local news and on the internet.

Overall I feel mintcoin should grow up and feel a bit more professional, part of the pre-mine could be used for this end and marketing. There is much to be done before we are worthy of a big time investor.

BTW. there's a bug in mintcoin wallet 1.9.1:
- I've got the wallet encrypted and locked.
- Going to the send screen, entering a valid address and amount
- then clicking Send does not show the unlock wallet where you can enter a passphrase, nothing happens.
- I first have to click unlock wallet button and only then I can send coins.
short: The "Unlock wallet" window should appear when clicking send and the wallet is locked.

It's nice that you guys are on 27 exchanges but it's still valued only at 9 satoshis max.

The only online casino on which i won something. I made 17mBTC from 1mBTC in like 15 minutes.  This is not paid AD!

Kids are often mislead by the price of the single coin.
The market cap is what matters if you wish to know the value of the coin. But i agree, that even the market cap is too low right now.

Yes i am aware of that bug, but i am not the one who made this pull request. If i get some time, i could take a look at it.
I integrated coin control features for Mintcoin and couple of minor fixes. Those are working properly.

That means you're not the one who compiled it right? The coin control is a nice addition for people who want to use it, thanks. I wish mintcoin had an active dedicated wallet programmer but it really runs all on people with busy lives.

I would love to manage a mintcoin team, help and inspire and set realistic goals. But I feel most of my contribution on this thread, see previous posts is just going into the bit bucket.
