no it isn't Explain why not? Those miners who missed the initial PoW distribution gets another chance and the community can support the coin by increasing buy pressure

It seems there are still people who dont understand how multipool effects this coin. I will not explain in detail. I will just repeat the simple fact.
- Multipool ties this coin with all other cryptocoins. Do we want that or not?
If we want Mintcoin to ride with all other coins, then yes. Multipool is a good thing. If we do not want Mintcoin to depend on other coins then no. Multipool is a bad thing.
My opinion? As long as there are no solid MINT/USD; MINT/EUR exchanges. Multipool is probably a good thing.

no it isn't Explain why not? Those miners who missed the initial PoW distribution gets another chance and the community can support the coin by increasing buy pressure First of all, this coin doesn't exist so miners get a chance to pump and dump it. The reason for PoS is to get rid of mining, which is a wasteful and useless activity. And if this "buy pressure" is being generated by autoselling mined coins and then autobuying mint, it is just going to create a low ball buy wall and help drop the price. What we want to do is to relieve selling pressure. You do this by not not selling your coins and holding them instead of selling them for a minor profit and waiting for the price to drop so you can buy back in and do it over and over again. That only increases volatility until the coin is useless as a currency. This is why alts die. They are too volatile to be used safely as currency. We need to make this coin rarer and harder to get if we want the price to rise. The future of MINT or any PoS coin is in becoming a utilitarian and useful currency.

so when is the android wallet coming?
or any mobile wallet.
i cannot pay my buddies directly.
will be harder since no pos coin has an android wallet afaik.
any plans? or do we stick to windows?
mobile is needed for MASS adoption.
without it. i dont see a bright future.
I am surprised, do you have mints ? I had read that you sell all your mints, now you talk of "pay my buddies directly" ? LOL.

No one would mine mincoins to then dump them because that makes no sense. Those mining would hold. And since mining them wont generate any more coins it will stay as rare as it is without mining.

You can't mine MINT. You have to mine other coins and then trade them to get MINT

Actually I disagree. I think plenty of people would dump just the same. At the very least, I think a lot of people are dumping their POS rewards and this will naturally increase as they gain more mint via multipools. You have to remember that even among the fanboys in this thread, a lot of them are not really so confident in this coin as they claim, and will use any opportunity to lock in some profits (however small they might be.)

Exactly. Anyone can mine at a multipool, get paid in BTC and trade them for mint but many people would rather get paid directly in mints. I believe it would attract those who support mint and that is only good for the coin

A daily BUY pressure of 50+BTC from multipool is what will drive the price over 30 satoshi easy

You don't need 50btc of buy pressure if holders and whales start to believe the coin has a future. Less sell pressure is the same as more buy pressure.

At least half of my coins are more than 20 days old but i still haven't received any stakes (wallet v 1.6). I remember reading someone's instructions on what to do so that minting starts but i can't find the post. I would appreciate it if someone could help.
