I remember yesterday someone was talking about them being operational in the US and the Philippines. I've asked and they are not operational yet as they are just progressing with the sale. So that information is not correct. However their first operations will commence from Manila next year.

We got the information that the app is available, but you can only sign up with a phone number from the US or Philippines. and since they have not yet started in the US, we all had the assumption that the APP is already being used in the Philippines. If that is not the case, then I apologize for my impatient questions about the app :-)

Yeah, i read that on the whitepaper too, 3000 card is quite a huge number to start with. I hope they pull it off though.

I think they will connect to 3000 cars in the first instance with most of the big taxi companies. It does not mean they will buy 3000 cars. Correct me if I am wrong..

i think so too, buying 3000 cars would be insane when its very easy to connect them to the app. If they can make it work a lot of taxis and busses and maybe even planes in the future will be connected

I agree,  buying 3000 cars and then hiring 3000+ driver is not easy.  Even Uber and other not burying any car.  So I think they will be in contract with existing taxi companies.

Yeah, The only thing they can do now is to hire drivers from different taxi or cab companies. But they will going to start on Asia I know it will be easy to find something like that here.

The more they buy now, the quicker and more popular Tachain will become, so it's a solid investment and looking forward to seeing this kick off

Also, whilst you dont want to doubt your own project, you don't start with that much quantity. Take for example a project selling physical goods, they don't (or shouldn't) stock warehouses full of it right from the go, you do lower batch runs and have your warehouse where they make it in in say China on hand for future orders. 3k cars outright, just don't see that being their own.

That's what I was thinking, why Tachain wants to invest money in buying cars. That will be huge investment at Start and how they are going to expand operations on other countries if they spend money on buying cars

Maybe they will operate just like Uber, the only difference being that Tachain will be on the blockchain. The 3000 cars can be registered with Tachain but they own none. Just my thoughts.

I dont think that would be the case!
its not possible for a company to buy 3000cars as startup process!
but they could be partnering with the Car and Taxi agencies with their proposal and make that happen and i'm sure it will!!

My thoughts exactly, i was wondering how they are going to get 3000 cars at a start just like that. That can cost them the whole investment money.

I agree with you mate, they definitely need investors and partnerships with a taxi agencies to enable them achieve it.

The truth of the matter is that getting 3000 drivers to singup can be very easy or hard depending on how you communicate your idea to them... This will benefit them greatly and if the team can maybe the drivers see and understand that, easy word of mouth will make it go viral

You do have a point but at same time, it depends on the population of the specific area that tachain tends to start and lets not forget that there are states/counties within a particular country, so i don't see it as much, human activities is on a daily basis and backed with their awareness, i believe commuters will be keen to test out what the brand has to offer

I don’t think the team has a plan to go into transportation. That would be a distraction at the moment. Partnerships are better. There’s lot of jobs to be done. After the ICO we need the Android version of the App to be running and functional. The market value and listing on top exchanges. Then partnerships. They got these all overed in the roadmap. And we’re looking forward to these.
