To pick up a bounty rewards, let's try choosing a project that we will participate in, just like an investor, by examining the project.  Thus, even if we lose time when we do research, we don't waste time after working in vain.

we do not know what the actual project and scam project is, because at the moment there are many scams. It's hard to know where the scam is and not but here are some pointers, it takes time to look at the progress of the project and also have to see the team from the project. do your research first and it will save you a lot of time later or waste time if it's a scam

We must be selective in determining the bounty campaign that we will follow. Many fraudsters use the popularity of cryptocurrency. Do not just be tempted by big rewards, but also must be considered the team of developers, bounty team, and the project itself. The important thing is to analyze from the project that you will support, is it realistic? does it have wide market coverage? the easiest thing is to see the ICO rating of the project from some websites like Ico bench.

the easiest thing is to see the ICO rating of the project from some websites like Ico bench.
At least by watching ICO project who already got a high rating on ICOBench can reducing the impact of the ICO going scam.
But that does not mean ICObench could be the standard for choosing a good ICO project, you must and always do your own research first before going to invest.

This is a really sad truth. Legit projects used to pay reasonably well a few months ago. The various scams are one of the major drivers of the long dips we have seen. Most investors who were scammed have pulled out of ICO investment. Some of these investors are buying from exchanges after the release of the tokens/coins since most coins can't get to their ICO price in this bear market. Because of this, the ICOs that force their way through the bear markets are likely to have low profits or some may even neglect the project.

I think the current phenomenon is the effect of the falling price of bitcoin, and there is also the factor of the person who holds a token sale that only uses ico as a land to deceive people. to avoid it we need to see how the team is in the project, if the identity of the team is good and has been verified I'm sure the project will not be scam.

It is a fact that there are a lot of scam ICOs looming around the crypto community and that is the more reason why bounty participants but endeavour to do underground and proper checking before putting in for any bounty campaign.
Scam bounties are not looming, they already exist and till now they are running. If you see scam bounties better report it in the "scam accusation" section of this forum.

But the good news is that there are still credible bounties out there.
Yes there are, we have just to choose it wisely.

Why are there so many scam bounties out there and how are we to know which is scam or not
It is not really complicated if you think about it, there are so many scams because there is a lot of money to be made in this market and whenever that happens scammers are going to try to get advantage of it, that is what they do, some time ago when the market of gold was in all the news many scammers began selling scam coins, and now this is happening in this market as well with many scam coins being all around the market.

it is not easy to choose a good project,
but if we keep trying and can learn from experience of course in the future we will be able to get a better project

That's the question on everyone's mind! I think the best clues as to it being legit is how much background they give on themselves and whether they are regularly giving detailed progress updates.

Why are there so many scam bounties out there and how are we to know which is scam or not

When the bounties were young and ICOs are really legit and you really earned big, some of the opportunist found ways to earn too without doing hard work by implementing good projects and instead by launching scam ISO, and so the bounties also. Today is has gotten so rampant that I think there are less than 30% of real ICO and less than that will be successful. There's nothing we can do about that.

I am also very frightened of it at this time many projects that lead to fraud and just wasted time, they do fraud in various ways, one way we must be more thorough in analyzing a project from the project's white paper

scam bounties seem to be very common. hopefully the turn will come someday and there are more reputable bounties than scam bounties. a newcomer like me falls fast on the scams purely.

Yes, there are a lot of them now, at least because of the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies. But this is absolutely normal and I do not worry because I always chose only those projects that function perfectly

Unfortunately, we can not change this in any way and still all projects will work as well and % skam ICO will not decrease. Just be careful about the descriptions of the project and everything will be cool and right

Always think twice before you spent your time and effort for any bounty to avoid or lessen your stress afterwards, those developers who are doing this actions mostly are those who just copy another project concept and try to enhance the usage, if you take some time to study each of those bounties you will be able to trace and pick better one for you.
