It was dumped by dev team. You gotta love the old trolls coming back as soon as this thread opened again. Miserable low lifes. I see these kinds of trolls more like uncles that show up to family parties drunk with a prostitute under their arm. If you don't think about them too seriously, they're quite endearing and colorful. I agree with you. Although to make the analogy more accurate - it's a lot more like an uncle that's destitute, unemployed, and covered with filth spending the entire party handing out unsolicited investment, career and hygiene advice. Colorful? Yes... Endearing? Not so much. Eeehhh, somewhat endearing then maybe On more serious matters, was there an announcement to be made sometime this weekend? Not to my or other's knowledge. Was false information. Anyways, glad to be back. Just got back from Hong Kong for Blackcoin. Was quite a productive trip and made headway with some Korean, Japanese, and HK Chinese contacts. Also, got in contact with probably one of our most valuable contacts but, can not disclose further except that I am happy to work with this guy. But you know, the Foundation doesn't know what it is doing apparently. *Cough* We are tied to CNY price and no longer the BTC price after a very successful trip to China. *Cough*.

Blackcoin is an established coin. It will not die that easily, it isn't certain that it eventually reaches much bigger adoption. It is still striving for that, but people should try to understand it is easy to get somewhat established the push beyond that is much much harder. Use the coin for purchases or trading and wait for the bigger developments like BlackBox, Nighttrader and Blackwave Labs. These projects can't be rushed and they can't magically appear in a few weeks or months.

Hello everyone We just wanted to tell the great blackcoin community that we have built an online multi-currency wallet, which supports BC among other 7 cryptocurrencies and features instant exchange as well. So far we have over 3 000 opened accounts and no TX fees for outgoing transactions. It's is called CryptonatorEverybody welcome to check out customers reviews on the main page and open free account (we have optional 2FA of course) Now we are working on adding multicurrency wallet support to our Android/ iPhone apps, so, hopefully, you will get free multi-currency mobile wallets with instant exchange till the end of the year. Best Cryptonator devs

Best Cryptonator devs I'd rather use BLK instead of BC, as we are using this on Coinkite as well...

Just to inform you that IconicExpert's coin is now officially released:
Aaah go to hell with those new crapcoins, especially from InternetExplorer. This is BC forum, go promote P&D "investments" somewhere else. The ICO price 50K Satoshi s just R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S. It smells to be the biggest scam ever and it's so big that people even start believing it might be legit. BTW why the BC payout on BCpool was so low yesterday? Profitability only 0.9287 BC per MH/s. On Sunday profitability was 2.2307 BC per MH/s and Saturday even 3.8421 BC per MH/s. Seems like BCPool was mining some unlucky coin which was maybe heavily dumped before BCPool was able to sell it for some good price.

If his previous scams are of any indication, it's guaranteed that he will buy into his own ICO with huge amounts making it look like it has buyers and giving himself free coins. Also, his "POM" is beat the day it's released, poker bot programmers for example have been solving them for years.

Last month my wife launched a fundraiser for Doctors Without Borders to fight Ebola named A Day Without Touch (website | subreddit at /r/adaywithouttouch).
In addition to taking donations via PayPal, the campaign started taking donations of Bitcoin and Dogecoin, and it ended up getting some good press, including CryptoCoinNews, CoinSetter and the Wall Street Journal's BitBlog.
So, the campaign has decided to run a charity challenge to see which cryptocurrency can raise the most for Doctors Without Borders over three weeks, from Nov. 12 - Dec. 2. It will be issuing two awards: one for Most Money Raised, and one for Most Giving Coin (based on total value as a percentage of the coin's market cap).
Right now the challenge will include Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. We are considering also including Peercoin and Blackcoin. Five is the max number of coins we feel comfortable including.
We think it will get good press for the fundraiser and for the coins that participate.
Is this something the Blackcoin community is interested in doing? If it sounds like there is enough interest we will include the coin. However, we will be posting numbers, so if the total donation is $5 or something that might not be the kind of press Blackcoin wants. What do you think?
Plus, any ideas how to best spread the word would be appreciated. Please reply on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/2l7tio/interest_in_blackcoin_participating_in_a_charity/

instead it will die like litecoin and other 1st generation coins. Yep, I would expect it to die like BTC and LTC are currently. But the bet is always (just like with any crypto or stock for that matter) that there is that slim chance that broad adoption actually occurs... in which case the losses in the 'losing bets' will be easily absorbed by the profits of the 'winning bets'. Who knows for sure what will happen. It's been a little over two years since I heard people telling me I was a complete moron for not dumping all of my BTC when it hit $15 briefly and then fell back to around $6... because "it's never going back to that price again..." Maybe BC will never again see over 10K sats... and maybe it will never again see under 10K sats... if you know for sure which is the case - then you need to just play the lottery and quit messing with these small potatoes.

Why such bad feelings about blackcoin? I haven't heard anything bad. Why should it die? It's the only word i hear in every thread every day and it sucks.

I don't think there are (many) bad feelings regarding BC in particular. The whole crypto world is going downwards right now, first the altcoin slaughtering where people took their profits to BTC/FIAT and now BTC following the same route. Since BTC is still the crypto flagship there is less faith in all coins when people see the "big one" strugglin heavy as well. It may still be yet another P&D cycle for BTC and we will probably see a trend change. People tend to extremely short memory and extremely high levels of despair if a coin does not only rise. I am still holding all my BC and never sold any, and so did most of us. Don't let the few muppets who keep (day-)trading at joke prices fool you.
