I'm curious, is there a huge influx of new users after nicehash went down? The difficulty on most coins dropped by 2-3x, the projected profit increased by a huge margin.

A lot of people have not switch to another service as of yet so the difficulty of the coins are likely to drop for a short while. Hopefully this will be the end of NiceHash creaming off the top.

I don't think a lot of nice hash miners will be using this. I've been at it for hours now and still haven't even started mining. Finally at benchmarking and its taking for-freaking-ever, locks my PC sometimes (so I start over), and kills the nvidia driver (even at stock clocks)... start over. I have not had this much trouble getting something to run on a PC in my life.

So i downloaded both multicoin miner and awesome miner.

multicoin miner was easy to setup, but i want to setup awesome miner.
for now I created a pool for all the crypto i wanted to farm and added it to a poolshare and started mining,. All of them are using port 20xxx.

i tried adding pools with 17xxx for auto algo switching ( got the host adrressbfrom getvstarted pages and replaced 20xxx eith 17xxx) but it refuses to connect.

alsofor coin in pool inslected it as unspecified algo name. what am i doin wrong? I want to set up algo switching for equihash,cryptonight,lyrv2rev2, and groest to macimise profits.

i notice in multipoolminer

-poolname miningpoolhub,miningpoolhubcoins

what is miningpoolhubcoins ?

Just the ports, 17xxx vs 20xxx.

miningpoolhub - You choose whether you focus your MPM instance on mining algorithms while miningpoolhub decides which coins are mined as per their profitability (17xxx ports). This can prevent early switching, miningpoolhub will not switch coins of the same algo until a block is found on the currently mined one.
miningpoolhubcoins - You allow MPM to decide what coin is mined and switch to the more profitable coin at the earliest (using 20xxx ports)

Both have benefits and downsides in a way based on luck. You can include both as a good measure.

You are earning money even during the benchmark. Regarding locking your PC, is there a specific miner that is causing this as that's obviously not normal behaviour?

There are a lot of miners and algorithms so it can highlight hardware and driver problems that you didn't know you had.

Ok, I got MultiPoolMiner to work and it's looking good. Not sure tho how accurate earnings info is. It says 7,74620-10,00334USD/day, but after about 12 hours of mining I only got 0.00005754BTC on my MPH account. Does the exchange happen so slow ?

It is all just statistics but your earnings should trickle in. The exchanges are slow and you will get shares even after you have stopped mining because it's PPLNS.

Keep the number of algorithms small for the most accuracy.

Hi there,

I am testing awesome miner and MultiPoolMiner on MPH.
since MPH use PPLNS system and i am used to PPS system in nicehash, i should not switch too often right?
what is the best/optimal count down timer for switching algos? should i just switch algo once a day? or 30 min? or 1 hour?

thanks in advance.

you setup a batch loop and MPH switches you automatically but you have to be pointed at 12XXX ports.  17XXX for switching within the same algo pool.  You want to switch right after a block is found.  you get paid and you wait for confirm blocks to complete.  Then they are your coins.  Watch for payout mins and transmission fee.   If you send the coins to the exchange for payout it can take 2 to 12 hours normally to return back to your coin of choice.  Some slow trading coins could take several days and you have to watch the exchange, for example maxcoin only pays out best to bitcoin but can takes many days to convert.
Bitcoin is the only coin that is a one way street.  If it goes into bitcoin, it can't get back to the exchange to another coin.  Bitcoin has a high minimum.  see amounts.

Site down is probably overload from all the nicehash people discovering this better site.

MPM is great, i set it up as "-poolname miningpoolhub" as recommended. took hours to bench my rigs. but now all are running well.
currently all miners are using 17xxx ports thou(lyra2re2 and equihash)...

is 12xxx ports used by multi-algo in a program like sgminer/cgminer?

12xxx ports are based on average speeds for AMD/NVidia cards and not real speeds; you would also need a failover strategy like sgminer/ccminer can do.

In MPM you can also benefit from Zpool, especially for NVidia cards.

Point your miner to: hub.miningpoolhub.com:17001

Set your what coin you want to get paid in here: https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=account&action=autoexchange

Zpool has better profits for Scrypt:

There are no miners for litecoin here and the pool rarely discovers blocks, you shouldn't mine here.

Can you please add to the API a field that signifies SSL support (and port if different from normal stratum) for algorithms that support it?

How do i interpret this? Surely i'm not making 18 USD a day lol

When/how often does MPH pay out the bitcoin?

Do i need to mess with the hub workers jobs?

Can diff cards run diff algorithms at the same time?

It will show you the average profit over a week so, when you first start mining, it will take time to settle.

Balances are not real-time so they can disappear and reappear as they move through.

You can set your own pay-out threshold: https://bitcoin.miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=account&action=pooledit

No hub workers need to be set.

It's currently grouped into AMD and NVidia but per card support is coming (it is possible now but it's not worth the effort as it's too complex in it's current state). You'll find it's accurate enough though as it does know the real hashrates.

Alright, thanks. I was thinking about replacing one of the 1060s with a 1070 (using 4 1060s ATM).. not sure if that is a good idea if they are all going to mine the same thing.

Average profit a day or week?

Where do i set the payouts? I don't see it :/ lol

Also https://i.imgur.com/8N7S9lR.png Musicoin keeps popping in an out of my balances.. kinda odd. heh

Don't worry about mixing, it will work fine.

Average is over a week so it should give an accurate average of your machine without fluctuating too much.

The balance gives you a good snapshot but it's based on cached information so there will be amounts appearing and reappearing sometimes. Each coin is a separate pool and the exchanges are done externally.
