Going on five days since my last payment received, now.

For someone who got special treatment and more refunded than most of us even invested, you are being a bit of an asshole. You're not the only one who lost money.

Okay, well how about this, Ricky...you have someone rob (or "lose") $17,000 of your money and see how nice and patient you are about getting it returned. Sorry if I don't have a ton of sympathy for you who lost a few hundred bucks of walking around money...but when you're talking about losing the equivalent of a fucking AUTOMOBILE, that changes things for you a little bit.

BTC Arbs agreed to have me repaid within 20-40 days. We're now 10 days into that and I've gotten 3 out of the 24.8 I was still owed...and he's paying the small investors back by using my money, and that of the other large investors. So sorry if I've offended your delicate sensitivities, but I really don't care.

The fact that some of you are so trusting, after everything we've been through, simply blows my mind. There is zero transparency with what he is doing. We don't know how much money he has, we don't know how much he earns each day, we don't know who all is being paid back and how much that total paid is, we don't know anything. I don't know why you trust this guy.

Damn Jack? Your tone has really changed from the earlier days of arbs. The mantra around here was don't "invest" more than you can afford to lose -- apparently you weren't listening.

I WAS able to afford to lose it. But that doesn't mean I'm happy about it and now that we have located the guy and he is being forced to make restitution, I want it back - every dime, and in the timeframe he agreed upon with me...and I won't be called an asshole by some stranger, because of it.

I was updating the thread with the fact that I'm going on five days without a payment, because BTC Arbs took pains to point out that "big investors were being paid in installments" and singled me out in his post - and I don't know about the other larger investors, but I haven't seen crap in nearly a week.

I missed the part where this guy was located and he is being "forced to make restitution". As far as I see, he's using safe-mail and we don't have a clue where he is. He has voluntarily come to the forum, acknowledged that he got in over his head, and has resolved to attempt to pay everyone back. Within reason, I think we can cut the guy some slack, he didn't have to show up on the forum and identify himself. And if he's smart, he's using TOR.

Coming from the retard who sent $17,000 anonymously using an irrevocable currency to a stranger on the internet, with a website hosted in Asia, advertised in the "gambling" section of this forum, claiming to turn your $17,000 into $1,000,000+. Yes, the rest of us that you're unreasonably attacking are the stupid trusting ones.

For some reason he seemed to select you to get preferential treatment. So far it looks like you've got 20% of your money back, while some others have received 100% and some have received 0%. He has been refunding money, and given the fact that the total is in the thousands and not $100's I'm lead to believe that he might actually be telling the truth about the hacking story. I can corroborate the fact that my account there was hacked and unauthorized withdrawals were made. Perhaps he selected accounts at random to make fake hackings long in advance, all to bolster his story, though that seems far fetched.

You want it back, just like everyone else, but that certainly doesn't mean that you deserve it back. I partially believe the hacking story and believe that he is trying to repay people.

You seem to be a little bipolar. One day you're thanking him, the next you're having hissy fits that someone else got paid instead of you.

To Adam: I don't care what happened and I'm happy to have received the funds back that I've received so far. I hope I get more, but if it takes a while, that's fine with me.

Ricky, you're a douche.

You call me an asshole for updating the thread that I hadn't been paid in five days. Nowhere in that post did I begrudge anyone else their refunds...I was pointing out that I had not received anything, after BTC Arbs had made a post in which he said large investors "like Freejack" were being paid in installments. It's worth noting that I hadn't seen anything in nearly a week, in light of that comment...and I think there are valid questions to be asked here about how many people are actually being repaid, and how much that has amounted to.

Welcome to my ignored user list, winner.

I'm with Freejack on this.  If their was more transparency, a lot of us would feel better and have less to complain about.
Hell for all we know, he is making 1.5% a day and only paying back 1% (still making money on us).

It has been ~10 days since I sent my PM's / E-mails and I haven't heard a word either.  I know he says if you sent it, then I received it BUT how do I know he was able to verify all the information correctly?

I want to suggest a list/form (that he is in control of) that lists

-Pending Balance Verification (Amount we say we are owed)
-Balance Verified (Amount agreed that is owed and confirmed via DB records)
-Amount Paid (Amount paid so far)

He can easily setup a read/only Gdoc or similar.  This would let people know that he did in deed receive the information and was able to crosscheck it against his DB to verify amounts.  It would save a lot of people e-mailing/PMing him over and over again.

Perhaps also we could add some estimated timelines in there.  I mean at 1% a day, he should be able to calculate approx repayment periods.

He says that it is first come / first serve (with a bit of random) - but I haven't seen a penny yet, and I was within the first group to send my information over.  Not even a partial payment.

He'd probably claim that it'd take too much time to manage a document of that size, there's simply too many people, etc...etc...

Fact is, it's in his best interests NOT to have transparency, to obscure what is really going on. The only difference between what's happening right now and what was happening before is, it's happening here instead of via the website/legacy fund transfers. That, and we don't get a daily report of trading results...which is not all that surprising and wouldn't mean much anyway, considering we don't know how big his bankroll is.

He needs to be much more active here about reporting what's happening.

If he says it takes too much time, here is my response

-Based on his last few reports, I can gather that he is paying between 5-10 people each time. (Maybe 5 minutes to update a spreadsheet.  He is doing the work anyways when he claims to send the tracking)
-Unverified Balance /Verified Balance (He has to do this on his own anyways so why not make it public)

That would be nice ... I would like to know that I'm on that to be paid list.   However if he has 200+ emails and 90+ PMs, it might take some work.   However he has to maintain a list in some form.

I'm Sorry,  But you people are like a bunch of Children "Are We There Yet ?".
Don't you understand that this is a process that is going to take Weeks and Weeks.
I am also Owed 2.8 BTC. But I also understand that it may take a good LONG while to be repaid.
I agree! I have 6.63 in 2 accounts (mine / wife's 2.53 and 4.10) so I have to come here everyday to read "what's up" and 75% of the notes here have the same whiny sound. Everyone here might be adults but it doesn't sound that way. BTC-Adam is arbing to get our money back and that takes time - you all know it. Adam chose to stand up so let him have some standing up time and stop the old lady noise.
-M
oh, and No, I have not received anything back so don't start with me - I have a wife for that.

There are different ways of looking at this, but it sees that if it were up to you two, no one would be repaid anything ever.   The chatter lets BTC-ARBS know we really care about getting paid back.   I think the heat in this thread is good for progress.

As for the sexist comments ... seems like you should have learned after getting you wife involved.  Sounds like you have a lot more ear twisting in your future.  Tongue

Am I the only one who thinks the guy deserves some respect for doing this?

just sit tight and wait until you get your money back, I m confident he will pay everyone. But as mentioned earlier, it takes time.

Interesting comment considering you don't even seem to have a stake in this issue.   At least you can't be found on the spreadsheet.

He will get respect when everyone is repaid. Right now most people are sceptical, rightfully so, because he was trusted with out money and lost it.

Respect?Huh I have never had a clear answer to what happens with those of us in the middle of the pack. It's just a first come first serve ordeal. That means me and about 20 others end up paying back the big investors (in installments) and the small investors as a whole while we sit and wait, because lets face it....... the first come first serve really means the ones that are easy to pay back with small amounts. So I'm waiting and with cautious optimism and hoping, but with no transparency and with information that is at times hard to believe - respect is out the window until I'm paid back.

The middle investors will receive installments like the larger investors.

lesnod, your first payment will be sent this week.

The next batch of payments will be sent tomorrow.
