I'm sure a lot of people would be put at ease if their was some kind of plan.  It seems as if the paybacks are completely random.

What we know

1) He has some amount of coins he is using for ARB trading
2) We can assume from past performance ~1% is a fair assumption for daily earnings.

This shouldn't be difficult math.

If the process was more transparent, I'm confident more people would have faith in the system put in place for payback.  Right now no one knows what is happening and everyone is just blindly hoping for a payback.

I really feel the daily earnings/amount being used be posted.  It is OUR money that is being used for ARB so its only fair we understand the process.  We should also have a sheet of "Confirmed Pending Payments" So we know he received the info and has done his research to confirm that it is valid.  And an Estimated schedule that is being followed for payback.  20-40 days doesn't tell us much, and at current rates, this doesn't seem reasonable.

Agreed! I have never gotten a strait answer why there are small amounts sent to some and not to others. Is he paying things back alphabetically by username? or is it those who have threatened him the most? The people that have been paid back completely seem to be small amounts which makes a little more sense, but the people that have gotten small percentage payouts of ones balance doesn't make sense, it would make more sense if those were split up into the group evenly, even if it is a fraction. And if it's not split up, some information as to why would help calm the waters.

He hasn't even reached out to the investor base, the traditional HYIP sources have no idea he is doing any kind of refund. It seems to be limited to people on this forum. No idea why, but I think he literally is hoping to just pay off enough people to run off.

STAY AWAY: rockwell,btc-arbs,bitcoin-trader - I've been playing HYIP's and have a near flawless record over the last year. Made over 1000% return last year. Play HYIP's safely and smart! Stay away from the referral whores on this forum, especially from those putting out their referral links in their signatures. They have no other interest but to profit from you.

Not many have received replies to emails. Just sit tight, most likely he's going first come, first served style. People keep reporting payouts, so we just need to see that continue.

If it is first-come first serve then it would be nice to see a list published so we know what to expect.

I would much rather prefer a plan.  Like pay off everyone up to 1 BTC, then 2 BTC, etc until everyone is paid off.    What I don't like right now is that the 20+ BTC that may be paid off to you (and other large debtors) would actually payoff dozens if it were spread out.    On the other hand it is impractical probably for him to keep making micropayments to many people so it would make sense to just go through a list payoff smaller payments in whole.

I still hope you and everyone else gets at least the principal back.   I would just prefer a plan that we could all see and follow to some degree.   The only reason to set 1BTC as a starting point is it seems that 1BTC payments have been made.

The Whole Story - From BTC-Arbs ADMIN
...
BTC Arbs was not created to be a scam, and was never intended to rip off investors. Bitcoin arbitrage is possible and many Bitcoin users have realized this and have started arbitrage trading on their own. Bitcoin arbitrage trading took place and earnings were made. Anyone who has ever looked at bitcoinaverage dot com can confirm this. The prices vary greatly from exchange to exchange, and there are always variations on the price. Even today, you can buy Bitcoin on BTCE for $556 and then sell it immediately on Bitstamp for $572. That produces a 2.7% profit, which is closer to 2% after exchange fees and transfer costs.

BTC-Arbs was not created to scam users.

Here's the problem with this story. buying a coin on btce for 556 and selling it on 572 gets you a 2% profit for that coin, to get a 2% profit for the whole btc arbs scheme you need to be able to do that 500 times (if you have 500 coins). then after you do that you have all your coins on that place where you want your dollars, and all your dollars on the place where you want coins, so it will take some time to get the stuff back to where it belongs.

being here isn't enough to prove that you aren't a scammer, because many scammers stick around to try and delay people coming after them and hoping that enough time will pass that people will give up and/or forgive what you owe them. If you are truly not scamming you need to be a lot more transparent. tell us how many coins you have, and show proof of the work that you are doing. Don't report daily progress in terms of a percent raise or a percent drop, give the exact details so people can see exactly what you are doing and check to make sure that you aren't full of shit.

As a reminder, I am not replying to messages until they are paid. If you sent a message then it was received. No need to send additional messages to ask if the first one was received. Also, do not send attachments to the refund email. They will be deleted.

Currently pending

232 pending refund emails
96 pending refund PMs

Today

5 full email refunds paid
2 full PM refunds paid
1 partial refund paid

Methodology

Smaller depositors are likely to get paid fully at once.
Larger depositors will be paid in instalments like freejack.
The order is a combination of who requested first plus some random.
Users who send threats are moved to the end of the line.
Users who send threats of violence are deleted from the refund list permanently.
Users who send email viruses are deleted from the refund list permanently.
If you send a duplicate message the first one will be deleted.

Everyone will be refunded in due time. Unlike the hundreds of Bitcoin scams that have existed, this is not a scam. You have not been mtgoxed.

I am having a hard time believing there have been 232 emailed requests, based solely on this thread. It cannot be confirmed by any of us...which is pretty convenient, since payouts to the people we CAN confirm are still owed money can now be slowed considerably, while claiming that these other email people have been paid.

The number of mistruths we have endured since the nonexistent "buyout" is substantial...so skepticism abounds. I appreciate that you are here, addressing the issue...but your credibility is in question.

I just received a payouts form btc-arbs today after my 2nd PM to him.

It was different content but same topic subject.

I was lucky that he responded to me.

Well, I am still happy  Cheesy, eventhough I did not get my full balance.

It was well worth it, that I got -4 negative trust from this.

Here is the TX ID: https://blockchain.info/tx/1ff63f900cf20078cb2f4f47c1ebb6cd8326777e7962af541f754ae1e826b06f (1HDfi2qrz48J91ySoQiLNda5jjQSQptK7K). Although for 2 weeks, I could have withdrawal the full balances when I have the chance, but I did not. But still now  Cheesy.

I hope ALL of U can get your refund!

mem goes crazy on HYIPS. And to be honest I don't like them either. But it's like he's on a constant all out attack against them. He thinks they shouldn't be advesrtised in the gabling section. Well duh? Where else would you advertise or discuss a HIGH RISK INVESTMENT PROGRAM. He's on the default trust also. I think he should go a bit more easy with the feedback when it comes to his personal opinion. He's making people like you look bad on the forums for just creating a discussion. It's now proven that he was wrong since you were obviously not promoting this. If you were you would have known when it would close down and go away with your money.

We asked and received.  I think this will help put some peoples minds at ease.  Hopefully we can continue with this kind of format - to let people know that we are indeed moving forward.

Man it's like politics, the rich get some payments, the poor gets most of the entitlements (at least first), and the middle are just stuck in a "who got in line first" type of mentality.

I deposited 35 BTC and received back 4,3951 BTC BEFORE shutdown. Nothing received yet afterwards.
My account was at 49 BTC when shutting down.

My address : blablabla...

Damn...finally, someone who had more invested than I did. Welcome to the club :/

Go open up this Google Docs spreadsheet we're maintaining and input your username, the amount of principal you're currently owed (looks like 30.6) and we can keep track of it that way.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lSUi0_1bqe0sv5XI4EvXWPcWI7fwnJbFQY-kMsYxp10/edit#gid=1324696940

Hi FreeJack,

you're not the only one fool that send a lot to btc-arbs... Since the shutdown, I was just focused on my new baby child (3 weeks)... had begun to forget this disaster... then I came back and discovered happily that some investigation was done, the spreadsheet and that contact has been made by btc-arbs. Happy to see that some refunds are arriving.
To me, it seems to mean that the investigation was quite efficient and that the direction was right. Have we done enough for now ? shouldn't we investigate a bit deeper just to make sure nobody can cover the tracks ? It means also that our btc-arbs "friend" is not the pure hyip "take the money and run" type of guy. At least some BTC were really refunded.  Now, I see only 8.4 btc refunded on 349 owed... not much at this point.
The refund "plan" that was communicated today add some clarity. At this point, with so much lies, and so much BTC vaporised, I really think we deserve more. The plan should include some % related to time. X% refund in X days. How much of the remaining 340 BTC in the spreadsheet will be refunded at 30th of june ? how much at 31st of July, etc...

Have a nice day,

Btc-Arbs : Keep up with the refunds. Keep us updated.
