Hmm,
have trouble to decide what algo to mine with GPU...
And what to mine with CPU?
CPU miners are out of luck, no algo left un-GPU'ed ;(

Hi guy's,

Let's talk market caps against litecoin supply and mining profits.
It is no question that this coin is thé next big thing, and can outpace Litecoin market cap -wise, but how to calculate this in.
The innovation that all algo's are in one place, is mind boggling, all other coins can go to sleep now, all hash rates together can just be pointed to 1 and the same chain.

LTC: 50 coins each block / time 150sec
MYR: 1000 coins each block / time 150sec

Does this mean that this coin can be?:
LTC:12€ (@ the moment)
Devide by 20 (coins amount 1000/50)
= 0.6€ per 1MYR

Not included Mining difficulty in a later stage ...

look, this coin needs 2 things to be THE one and only coin:
- a cpu only algo (real one, without non-public gpu miners).
- PoS (if possible).

there is no equivalence between coins / difficulty / and price, unless there is merged mining. A coin must have some qualities to attract a community then the community markets the coin further.  This coin has outstanding technical features and the community is attracted based on this novelty factor.

What the dev can do is compound the technical features. What we can do is spread the word, use the coin, do marketing, etc.

discussing market cap is irrelevant now. It will be either very small either very high; there is no middle ground Smiley.

PS. This coin is also the EASIEST coin to implement hard forks, because timing of the blocks is so predictable and the coin is not getting stuck (like aurora and all the other stupid coins who discover they need KGW at 2,000 difficulty).

CPU algo only is a fetish that has failed over and over again, smart people, will find/create software that will always use GPU's to mine so called CPU-only-coins.
That is something we will have to live with.
Same thing for ASIC proof, no way anything is safe against anything, people are innovative and luckily they are, for sure in open source community.

Nobody ever got hurt by discussing something on a civil level, so I don't see why it should be irrelevant to discuss theoretical market caps, it doesn't need to be carved in stone, but somewhat seeing where it can/will be in time is a good thing imo, like is the market cap to high for mining difficulties/profits/arbitrage between other coins, etc.
What and where should it belong between know markets.

Anyone able to connect to Skein pool http://pool.webcoin.us/myr/ ?
my cgminer goes blank when I start mining in this.

As of now I'm proceeding with myrskein.stablehash.com, whose frontend is unavailable.

CPU-algo is not a fetish - this makes the coin democratic and available to everyone and true to its initial goal. Riecoin / Gridcoin (not sure here) / Primecoin are mainly cpu-only.

This coin is ASIC proof by embracing ASICs and allowing GPUs and CPUs (initially) to compete on the same footing with ASICS.

Of course we can discuss everything, my view on market cap is just that: my view.

MYR is 52% of ALL daily BTC volume at POLONIEX (260 BTC out of 492 BTC).

This is a major achievement.

Regarding Groest, myrgroestl.stablehash.com is the only pool I know of, but hashrates keep going up. What other Groest pools are there?

Thank you for supporting this coin, I know cryptopools is one of the well known pools and this means a lot to the coin!Any ideas of supporting maybe other algos too? There is a high demand of Skein,Groetsl pool..I think everybody can benefit from this..

I'm trying to mine qubit on http://myr.nonce-pool.com/ with 1MH, but no one share found in about 1 hour. Why?
Am I doing something wrong?

It is CPU, the port is the one written in the pool.
So could be the low hashrate?
