The saying goes "It is better to have loved and loss than never loved at all".  I'm still holding some nice cards just not the top-tier.  i'm a noob to all this and although i'm not from Missouri, you have to show me how these cards will pop to the stratosphere.  I'm more comfortable in a mid-level position having never done this before.

Probably took a dozen years to put it together.  Can you imagine putting a 2018 red mini set together .  If you are going to attempt it you better have the red mini #83 to start out with or forget it. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

For the red mini set in any year im thinking youd want to start with 1/3 of them. Meaning you'd need  in excess of 20 cases

Some sets are dam near impossible to collect.  A set of red minis would be quite the set for sure.  Has anyone collected a full set besides the regular cards yet?

I have all the full size sets: base, glossy and ginter x

And for the minis: ginter x (almost 2 sets!), a&g back, base  and gold. Not the black border though

Baseball season is upon us once again.... Signs of a bit of momentum:

The 2019 Topps Allen Ginter X Hobby box's....much premium WOW!! Dealers will prolly double the price right out of the gates I imagine....if you're one of the first to get a set this year, let us know if there's any CRYPTO related cards in the 2019 set.

Has anyone in here subscribed to the Becketts online Price Guide? If so, are the 2018 A/G's listed yet? May have to wait another season or two on that front.  Roll Eyes Also, have there been any more of the red minis graded, or brookies and the like? Update anyone?

That is quite a return on these $70 boxes.  Lots of good cards still running wild for the 2018 Ginter X year.

In comparison, the 2017 cases are only 1500!  That is the Aaron Judge rookie year, so we can be certain that our beloved 83 card is the reason for the huge price differential.

Quick update

I believe the following super rare crypto cards from the ginter x are the only unaccounted ones unaccounted for.   1/5, 2/5, and 3/5 red mini and the silver 1/1 mini.  Whether they were tossed away when the set first came out before main street had caught on, who knows.

From the original series I believe there is only the regular size glossy 1/1 and the wood stock mini 1/1 that are unaccounted for in the super rare category.  Looking for a total of six cryptocurrency cards is a monumental task.  I am looking to 2020 to see if any crypto related cards come out in the basketball sets Smiley Smiley

Well, that's my update from the Dolphin

As difficult as it is to find certain rare ones, I think we were so lucky to have found all four of the printing plates.  To put four plates of any player together would be a monumental undertaking.  I am starting to lean towards the idea that the other three red mini's might never show up.  Main street is aware of the crypto card and it hasn't shown up yet.

I still open a few of the boxes now and then but, never pull a rare one.  Hopefully everyone has a few of the tough ones to find by now.  Looking forward to next year  Smiley Smiley
