A few comments for the day.

One way you can tell when a card is going to move early is by the totals that are being graded.  If you look back you will see the crypto card is well represented in total of graded cards.  The new egg card will break through the ceiling as it hasn't hit instagram and facebook and twitter which PSA is always asking to have their cards put on.  It's probably good publicity for them    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Quick update, there are no regular silver glossy's or glow in the dark cards for the 2019 Topps A&G. I doubt there were even 10 of the glow in the dark from last year so whoever has the crypto glows ,congrats.   Also, for those who are watching the egg card, if you are planning an entry point, when you see all the mini blacks are gone and the clock strikes midnight the train has left the station.  .   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

No, I am watching the regular size common PSA 10 that is listed on ebay , there will be many psa 10's of the commons but, if it breaks 100.00 look out above. 20,000.00 will look like a steal .   This is a big if, though. Shocked

PSA grading so far has been exciting for the unscrambled ones, Psa 10's for 1 black mini x, 1 red mini x. 1 brooklyn back, 1 regular and 1 mini.  However on the black mini x cards 1 has scored an 8 and 1 has scored a 9, very high scores but, probably a sign there will be few 10's.  The red mini x was just pure luck and quite a surprise.  The person with the black mini x psa 10 might be holding the only one just like the crypto mini black x.   The treasure hunt continues celebrating it's one year anniversary. Hey all Smiley Smiley

I was asked a few times about evaluating the pricing on printing plates.  I look at printing plates as original originals since they are used to make the cards.  They really are in a class of their own.  Pricing them really depends on the value of their cards but I like to use the brooklyn back.  For example I look at the value of the cryptocurrency #83 brooklyn around 1500.00 and multiply that anywhere between 25 to 50 depending on the card.   However, if you have all four I more than double to almost triple the overall value.

For the crypto I would use a 35x multiplier which would run about 52,500 per plate and I would triple the total value giving that rainbow a 600,000 + value .  This is a current value and my opinion is the value will rise from here.  At the end of the rainbow is the pot of gold

Anyway this is how I approach the value, but as always it really comes down to the seller and the buyer and many factors are always in play.

Actually I would really enjoy seeing any of my fellow collectors put together an all four printing plate rainbow.  We know the most difficult one of all time( #83 ) has been accomplished in less than one year and one plate at a time but, if anyone put together a rainbow of any somewhat interesting and sought after non-player insert from the 2018 or 2019 Allen and ginter cards it would certainly be an incredible accomplishment worthy of recognition and a place on instagram.  Go for it Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

A few comparisons of value I wanted to point out regarding the value of a psa 10 grade and also I made an early comparison of the crypto #83 to the egg #213.

 Description
Also referred to as red back
Hand numbered to 25 - Very rare
Retail pack odds of finding a Brooklyn logo mini: 1:330 packs (1:~100,000 packs for #83 specifically)
Miniature 1.5" x 2.75" trading card, White background (front), red B&W logo printed on back
May also be found in the Ginter X packs

PSA Population Report (updated Sept 2019)
   Grade 10 - 2

   Prior Sales Info
   $8.75 7/22/18 - $23.50 7/24/18 - $230 9/1/18 - $500 8/26/18 (Source: Nah-256)
   $6500 - eBay PSA 10 - Jan 12, 2019 (Source: https://ebay.us/RsRx5d)
   $1425 - eBay ungraded - July 29, 2019
   $1451 - eBay ungraded - August 19, 2019

The only and first three brooklyn-back eggs were respectively sold for 300.00, 350.00 and 306.00.  These sale prices can be verified through ebay.  There havn't really been any other sales to go by as of today.

The psa 10 seems to garner a tremendous increase over an ungraded card.  If you think you really have a 10 I would recommend to grade it as any crypto card will bring a higher price for that grade in my opinion.

Someone must think that a graded CRYPTO card by Becketts is the shit, and hiked up the price. Maybe they use a Platinum infused acrylic holder  Huh, that would at least explain the rapid jump. I still think that a grade of 10 looks better on a card than a 9.5  Grin regardless of where it comes from.  Wink

People often use bgs to get a 9.5 when the card wouldn't meet psa 10 standards. 9.5 looks better than 9 Wink

Just a few comments on the grading systems.  Depending on what year the card was graded plays a big role in the final grades.  Some years psa was more strict than beckett and sometimes the reverse.  Last year psa was extremely strict with the black mini's where I think some would have graded 9.5 over at beckett.  Both the psa 10 and the beckett 9.5 are gem mint cards.  Only beckett has the pristine category which is extremely hard to get and a perfect pristine is near impossible with all 4 subsets being a 10.  Depending on the card I mostly prefer PSA except in the case of the Michael Jordan fleer rookie I prefer beckett  I would also prefer beckett if I thought I had a perfect pristine card.  Unfortunately I have never had a perfect card.

I agree we are at the bottom, probably only a handful of these boxes left.  If I were holding a box I would open it for sure since the odds are not too bad in finding the silver mini or another red mini for sure.  I have about 10 packs I am going to open now.   Smiley Smiley

Hey all , so I am trying to put together some of my favorite cards and stick to my budget, thankfully some were gifts but, my 3 favorite cards are the #83 crypto, the #222 solar and the #213 egg. The only silver mini I have ever seen is the solar and it found a good home.  I have never seen a printing plate of the solar

So I'm watching my favorite cards on ebay and the selection now for the rare ones is slim at best.  Who really knows what sets a card on fire, but better to be ahead of the curve because it only takes a few high end sales and you miss the ride. The three cards I really want to add to my collection is the crypto #83 red or silver mini,  a solar #222 printing plate and the silver mini #213 egg .  My three favorite A&G cards.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Early bird gets the worm. Somehow,  i think we are all following your lead on this egg and you secretly have all the high end cards tucked away.   Now, we see a third card in the mix.
