Ok, if somebody have the same problem with new wallet - you need to download another
snapshot, coz snapshot with date 31082019 is wrong.

There is a new v1.0.4.5 Veil wallet release with stability improvements. It is recommended for everyone to update but it is not mandatory.

Yes , you can. You can also mine Veil with a single GPU. I am using nVIDIA 1070 (1070Ti) and AMD RX580 (480) GPU. Veil implemented the most ASIC - resistant mining algorithm X16RT.

Why so many new releases this week? Now the latest is 1.0.4.6 and I'm just tired   to download new snapshot for each of them  as the wallet refuses to synch after every update.

Hello naska. Wallet v1.0.4.6 is not a mandatory update so you are free to skip it if you are not encountering any issues on your current wallet, as long as you are on either v1.0.4.4 or v1.0.4.5. Please use the snapshot in this article if you are syncing before block 337000 to get past the stuck block.

The frequent wallet updates are to address some unforeseen issues that we encountered during the security fork, in an effort to get iterations of fixes out to users as soon as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Maybe post the specs of the system you are using. Devs already mentioned in the past they are working on making the wallet more efficient at processing and creating blocks.
