Hardfork news hardly make 500% of a coin's value even its on the top 10. For this time, its highly unlikely that ETH price will rise upto $1000 or maybe even just $500. A $200 price is more likely possible

I think it is quite possible for the ETH's price to go $1000 again but it will take so much time to reach that amount. But as mostly of what the people here are saying, I think it is most likely to reach only at $200-$300 after the hard fork.

It is a contender to be number one for long time, I think. But main problem is that all crypto market is still very small. While majority thinks that crypto currency is a synonym of bitcoin and bitcoin is a synonym of blockchain there would be no number one except bitcoin. Only when the crypto market would grow enough, and majority whould know about it, the leader could be changed. IMHO.

They (the peoples) bought the eth because they want to get the results of split tokens and after hardfork i guess price will fall down as always sell action.
