Don't be emotional by hoping for ETH 1000 USD, because right now the current price hasn't reached $ 200 for ETH,

It is incredible to see that as time passes altcoins are not becoming more independent from the movements of bitcoin, instead what we are seeing is that altcoins are unable to move on their own and rely on bitcoin for their growth and as long as that is the case we are never going to see altcoins going up faster than bitcoin, ethereum is one of the best coins in the market and yet I do not see how it is going to go up to the point that it is going to reach 1000 dollars for each coin even with all the upgrades that the developers are making to the code of ethereum.
Do you know why all coins are dependent on Bitcoin? It is because of how humans want to associate or group together things. Bitcoin is the de facto index of all things crypto. Just like the USD dollar is the index of all things fiat because it is the reserve currency of the world. The dollar's health affect every fiat in the world. What about Bitcoin? It is the most liquid market and still the first recall when you think about cryptocurrencies. Until the time another coin will take lead, BTC will continue to affect the rest. That is without a doubt a very convincing reason but another reason is simply that most coins are too similar to bitcoin, and as we know people have a tendency to trust the original and not the copies, so as long as the developers of altcoins do not begin to really innovate and create something new then is going to be impossible for their coins to move faster than bitcoin and to sustain that growth, most of the coins that you see outperforming bitcoin right now are very small coins that are being manipulated and that will likely disappear during the next year. |

You're right. There are many different predictions when it comes to ETH and these predictions are really worthless because it cannot prove the potential of this coin. I think this coin is still heavily influenced by Bitcoin so certainly during this time ETH will continue the downtrend. However, I hope that things will soon return in 2020 because this is the stage that determines the future of this market. According to my analysis, ETH can recover to $350 again next year and if the market grows well then $500 will only be a matter of time. |

there is no influence whatsoever from hardfork now, even after hardfork has passed but it also cannot be used as a driver of eth prices to rise. so I think there must still be an appropriate moment for eth to experience a significant increase

Its too early to talk about that upgrade before we see it, and after that we need to give it some time, community will give an opinion for sure, I believe this is a good thing for ethereum in general, and probably this upgrade will have effects on the price after some time. Now we can hope for the best, who have money for investing this would be a good time for that, while price is down. |

I think it could be completely different. Ethereum has much more potential for price increase than Bitcoin. I think that when the bullrun starts, the ETH price will rise much faster and can reach its ATH even before the BTC reaches $20k. |

I think it could be completely different. Ethereum has much more potential for price increase than Bitcoin. I think that when the bullrun starts, the ETH price will rise much faster and can reach its ATH even before the BTC reaches $20k. The potential profits that you can get with ethereum are indeed bigger than the profits that you could get with bitcoin the problem is that the ethereum market is simply not moving on its own, it is just reacting to the movements of bitcoin and it is impossible for ethereum to give any significant profits if investors do not begin to see it once again as a viable investment and until that happens you should not expect any independent movement from ethereum. |

Besides of the features you also need community. ETH is unbeatable at this point and it will be for quite some time. Will be very hard for Zcash to catch up and get enough attention. It's way better to become a smart contract dev for ETH than for anything else. Hard to get the crowd working on something that is sooo far behind |

all the investors already bought, and no new money coming to the space
we depend on whales now, and they wont pump the market until they shake the weak hands
