since OP is asking about after the fork so i think it is a failure because ethereum did not even hit 300$ after the fork and still struggling and seems waiting for the Bitcoin halving before experience growth again.

I think that after updating, ETH can grow to $1000, and then continue its growth, I hope that in time ETH will update its maximum.

It is not yet known when ETH will fork, but I think that by that time ETH will have recovered and begun to grow with the market and at some point will rise to $1,000.

As of the moment, the probability for Ethereum to reach such price of $1,000 like it have achieved way back the late months of 2017 is beyond possible to be reached for now. Though it can still be possible to happen, but it will take such time to happen again because if we will observe, Ethereum price is just playing at the range of $120-$130 at this very late and already the last month of the year 2019. I cannot say that Ethereum cannot boost up to reach that price once again because we can never tell what will happen in the near future. There might be some events or happenings in the near future that can suddenly trigger the rise up of Ethereum's price range to at least almost reach its recent peak price mark which is $1,000. I don't agree with you. Last time there are a lot of other good projects promising good future as a blockchain platform. Ethereum is very slow project. They did 2 times delay for difficulty bomb and there is a third one in January 2020. The main reason for delay - it is slow development of the project. Big investors are looking for other competitive projects and there are a lot of them at the moment. That's why the probability of ETH price to high levels seems to me very ghostly. But price iqual to 300-400 USD seems to me very reasonable.

Crypto markets are not scared, futures are skimming the cap and thats why we are seeing a depressed market. With these fractional reserve clearing houses popping up everywhere the tail is wagging the dog on king daddy and everything follows that. And whats worse is its happening in front of our noses and no-one is talking about it, well those that have been have been censored and demonized which is of course the first step before they are attacked. thats a very old vector and its being use to good effect here and people are afraid to talk about it as most of them are only here for the profit and could care less about freedom. This space is full of retards (lambo wanna be) and is paying the price for it.

I recognize that ETH is a highly trusted and valuable coin behind bitcoin, but it does not mean that it is likely x7 in a short span of time. This is the financial market and many people manipulate it, you cannot predict it so easily without analysis. In order for the price of ETH to return to ATH, it needs a lot of different factors, especially for new projects that must be profitable for investors. Only then will they trust ETH and push its price high. We should expect the efficiency of the Ethereum platform instead of the hard fork.

I think it is still too early to talk about the future of this coin but in the crypto market everything is possible and I believe that Ethereum can return to the $1000 someday. The Ethereum price cannot rise several times without increasing the Bitcoin price. If the Bitcoin price rises to a minimum of $30k then the Ethereum price may return to $1000. Of course it is possible, but I am not sure if it will be possible this year.
