I think it's impossible. it's hard to believe ethereum can reach $1000 after Hardfork. ethereum needs a bigger thing than Hardfork to make it happen. I think it's more realistic if ethereum is in the price of $200-250

Btc dropped to 3k almost few weeks ago so how we can say eth can be 1000 dollar after fork? We need big bull market for this so we should ask can bull market come soon or not, according to me bulls are not coming still.

you're right, it's hard to get ethereum back to $ 1000 without the help of the bull market. hardfork is just a speculation for people to want to go back to the market. but all of that won't work if no pump happens. |

Ethereum is always great on projects. For some reason so few people know that Playstation is actually going to adopt ethereum this year! The new game Plague Hunters based on eth is launching this year (Q1 2019 promised).
This should be even better than cryptokitties, which also added to the price quite handsomely last year. So if you ask me, $1000 is quite possible. There are just a lot of reasons for ethereum to raise in price, hardfork being just one of them.

The said hardfork will bring about improvement in the Ethereum network and community at large, This could lead to more potential price increase but, I honestly doubt it would attain $500 simply because of the hard fork, perhaps after the fork there could be some steady increase but with what occurred during and after the BCH hardfork, I wouldn't expect a massive buy in simply because of the forks. I agree with you, if you look at technical analysis, it will be very difficult for ETH to overcome the levels of $ 200-250, so you can only dream of growing to levels of $ 500. |

When ethereum drops, all comments say that ethereum will die. When Ethereum starts to rise, the comment changes by saying that ETH coin is the best after BTC. After hardfork the price of Ethereum remains the same as it is now, only pump a little at the start. There is no achievement of ethereum prices of up to $ 1000. |

There is a study online that the Bitcoin price is following a random walk, meaning that you cannot predict future prices on historical ones.
I believe the same goes for Ethereum, as prices are driven by hype and market cycles and not much else.
Therefore fixed price goals like 1000USD are not really predictable.

How far ethereum goes in price is closely tied to the total market capitalization of cryptos in general, not in upgrade or hard fork. Bitcoin for example is struggling despite the fact that it has become better (more lightening nodes for example).The upgrade is good but will only push he price up just a little and after the fork things will fall back a little. There must be huge influx of cash into the market for eth to hit 1000$ or more

It depends on the market situation as well.
If the upgrades will be successful for ETH it is expected to rise faster than the market.
If bulls come back in 2019 ETH could easily reach $1k and beyond.
