ETH return to 1000 USD after hardfork?

because after all eth is the strongest coin after BTC, and I believe that.
and even the new news says that eth prices will be half the price of btc.

I am not sure if the hardfork ETH will return to that price with a low Bitcoin value. As long as the value of Bitcoin is still in the current range, the price of ETH will not change drastically even after hardfork occurs.

I hope it won't go the same way bitcoin cash did. The BCH fork not only hurt the value of both bch forks, it also hurt the entire crypto market.

i like to read the news. i think that will happen but not now, because to reach half of the price of bitcoin it will take a long time. we just need to wait for it.

I will be happy if it happens but most likely not in the near time as there's no bullish sign for bitcoin. If bitcoin stays at the current price, i think eth will only rise near $200 and will probably declined again after the fork.

isn't that too much value high at this time. hardfork be predicted will give good results but if possible to $1000 or it costs half of the bitcoin it will be quite impossible to prove. might expect great indeed good but don't get too high and more focused on what will happen to hardfork later.

well, even though this target is so high, I feel hope that ETH reaching such a price is normal. even though the price does not reach the price of $ 1000, at least, it almost reaches it. I think so many people expect ETH to have a high price this year.

It can easily rise back to over 1000$ but not just this time ,market correction is in place and bitcoin is tstill trying to recover I'm looking at 8000$ bitcoin price and we will see ETH surge in price and I'm sure the fork upgrade will have a positive impact

If we look back for the past 90-days of ETH price, it has not returned or even reached its previous price as far as 90-days.
90 days ago, price was $228 USD. 5 days from today 1st hard fork for 2019 will happen for Ethereum Classic Vision. Next hard fork will be Ethereum Nowa which will happen a day after hard for Ethereum Classic Vision and then comes Ethereum Constantinople which will happen between January 14-18 this year. At current price of $157, I don't think it wont even reach a quarter of that $1,000 USD.

I think the probability of this short-term surge to $1,000 is very low, and there is no evidence that the bull market has arrived.

It is hard for ETH to go back to over 1000$ as long as Btc will not getting close to 20k.

It is not impossible but I don't think this will happen anytime soon. Maybe after 2020.

This is unlikely to happen. If I didn't guess wrong, this year's Bitcoin ETF is more like an important opportunity than the Ethereum's Frok. Only when the price of Bitcoin rises can the price of Ethereum rise, this is the rule in crypto market. I don't think Ethereum can rise to $1,000 alone when bitcoin prices are staying.

It is hard to say ethereum will increase until $1000 because it means, the price will increase 10x than the price now, and it won't happen if there is no good news from the ethereum project. I think to increase more than $400, it will difficult for ethereum, and it will need more time to see that price, but still, it could happen for the long-term. I am not sure what will happen after the hardfork or before the hardfork because it's no guaranteed to see the price increase later.
