ETH return to 1000 USD after hardfork?

ETH looks very underpriced against BTC. Yes in the past it has been over-priced, but it really looks to have gone too far the other way now. It is fundamentally a very strong project, with good development and a really solid use case. I am expecting ETH to rise vs BTC fairly soon.

Longer-term, and looking towards 2.0, yes this should boost prices. Any move towards staking should boost prices. I do think there is an important point to be made about hardforks though - it isn't the same as a chain split. If everyone (or a big enough majority) goes along with the change, then there is no split, no sustainable second branch, and no new currency appearing out of nothing. It may have happened in the past with Eth Classic, but that was a really severe disagreement. I don't think that moving to 2.0 would be anywhere near as contentious.

   Can we focus on the part where Ethereum is a fundamentally very strong project, with strong development. They announced ETH
2.0 and what we can expect? Ethereum to become staking coin? And if they do something with total coin supply, these two things can
boost the price a lot!
   I believe everyone will agree with this hardfork! Miners will stop mining, but with full bags they will stake Ethereum and they can
mine something else, for them it`s a win-win combination. Holders will not have any complaints too, they will have benefits from holding.

If you assume that, then not only is ethereum stuck in the same value so far, even the value of bitcoin is only moving in the same range even though sometimes there are shocking pumps and very alarming decreases. The difference is indeed very visible, but at least we just need to be patient and after all the increase to achieve this value will not happen this year and we fully only expect that next year will be better, because in the last quarter it seems unlikely that there will be a big pump occur.

Its never happened before to see price rise soon after hardfork. There is certain pattern, before hardfork price slightly rise but after fork we see price dropping. That`s happened many times before, with many different coins. Will it happen again with ethereum hardfork nobody knows, but for sure I will try to sell some at top and buy again when price goes down. Of course with some amount that I can spare, why not to try it when I have some feeling that will happen again.

It does, Ethereum 2.0 won't be able to give the expectations that everyone does but for the long term, this could be as something that we'll be thankful. I felt bad that I've never sold earlier but there it is and I just have to be patient and I've chosen this path. I'm expecting something good to happen but not that very much optimistic anymore. I have the positive vibes that by the first quarter of 2020, we'll see good indication for Ethereum.

Ethereum should climb back to 200 USD first, because this sounds like mission impossible for todays ETH. No updates at all, hardfork that they made was useless and fixed literally nothing, so all are now waiting for ETH 2.0 to show up and change everything.

I no longer believe in 300 dollars for Ethereum until we see a large increase in the cryptocurrency market. Until the Whales begin to speculate on the increase in the prices of Cryptocurrency assets.

as far i learned on bearish market, news doesnt impact so much to increase price. it would be useless

many people are still affraid of entering market, it makes the price cant increase too

the secure one i think we have to wait bull confirmation, but ofc it needs long time from now

In the last quarter of the year when next year is block halving the crypto market usually experience some simultaneously and unpredictable dump in price but I also believe the issue of the Libra coin which make the G7 and institutions make panic statement about bitcoin and other reliable altcoin seem to also affect the market more but the market will defnitely experience some slightly surge in price first quarter of next year.

we'll see how that will happen in the market next year. whether there will be big sentiments from the effects of the Libra coin or others. for ETH to grow will happen but in large numbers, I guess it will be very difficult. for now, there is still time but we must see good progress in the rest of this year to be able to see price spikes next year.

Making money will not be so easy.  The hard fork is just broken down into another branch to be more effective in the role of managing and improving the services of the business.  Although Hardfork is good news, if the market is not pumped, the price of ETH will remain the same.  So don't expect bull run this year.

I'm sure market is not moving when the good news happen.
But it moved when the whales are buying or selling in a massive amount.
So, we can't do anything and just predict their habbits and some guessing with luck is important also for trading

The most important thing is that after updating ETH 2.0, ether could grow up to $500, many people are waiting for this price, because most likely it will become a turning point and when ETH reaches $500, then there will be only growth

Sure, ETH returning to 1000 USD after hardfork. However, I don't think it will happen in weeks. One variable speculators need to monitor is the usage volume of the Ethereum network. If more people begin to use the network, that is the signal for a bullrun to $1000.

Yes it can be, just wait for the perfect moment and the price will goes up. But as of the moment, we just patiently wait and buy more ethereum. As the market goes bull run, it will absolutely goes up. Since altcoins are depending in bitcoin movement. If there is also a new development in eth, I assume the price goes up.

   Demand will go up with time, new upgrade will just make Ethereum more energy efficient and secure, instead of mining people will be
able to stake Ethereum. It's nice to see that team is working hard on development, it's one of the reason why Ethereum is successful
and a good reason for us to believe that demand will go higher.
   I don't like to speculate, I believe that Ethereum will be much more valuable in the future, but when exactly it's not matter if you are
long-term holder like I am.

but if market demand rises it usually has an impact on rising prices as well. but if the developments made by the Developer sometimes also cannot help the price movement, I think prices will rise if the market needs increase

Or perhaps 300 usd is a good point to start from to indicate any seriousness in price rallying. I think the high abundance of blockchain projects in the cryptocurrency space have shifted attention from Ethereum and thus affected the price badly. I am not a pessimist, but asides Ethereum 2.0 coming up with some magic, I don't see eth crossing 1k usd Mark anytime soon

that doesn't have to be compelling. for ETH to experience an upswing like in the past,
there would have to be a new ICO or IEO hype. that set the decisive impulses back then.
