yea I tried that - all I got was more DM's - I just turned em all off. In the end it was more for me to remember who I had positive dealings with - it was not done to affect anyone else. but apparently it does so meh - just remove it. Now watch me get blasted for not having someone listed...
You can DM theymos and ask him to blacklist you from DT1, that will let you just focus on your own dealings without much issue being taken from anyone else. I did, never looked back, never been happier on this forum

I did, never looked back, never been happier on this forum I'd merit this if I had any to give, as it is the real solution to avoid drama and still be on DT2 at least. I will eventually do it, but not yet, as I still care about this forum. BTW, Hope you are well Hhampuz, ping me sometime, feels like it's been years!

I did, never looked back, never been happier on this forum no I will not do that either, I do not want any bullshit flags or blacklisting done to me or my account. And I will focus on my own dealings - and everyone else should too. People need to stop worrying about trust lists and using the excuse it is to protect newbies - please newbies wont know how to even look at someone's trust list and may not even take the time to look at trust rating and reviews (which is really the only place anyone should look) They should simply block everyone from seeing anyone's trust list as it really is more for that person than anything. But then so many people with absolutely nothing better to do than have their head up someone's elses ass and business would simply have nothing to do. And we cannot have that now can we?

Welp, I've offered you a simple solution to a problem which you clearly describes as one you don't want to take part in.. Unless you actually do want to be DT1 then it's a different story. EDIT; All it means with the DT1 blacklist is that you can't get voted into to DT1, that's about it - nothing else changes.

Blacklisting (on request) isn't quite like it sounds, it just prevents you from being in DT1 but you can still use the trust list any way you want. Now that you removed your list you won't get into DT1 next month anyway so keeping the list but asking to be blacklisted is a good suggestion. OTOH, to keep track of your deals you can use neutral trust ratings. If you send someone a neutral rating you will see a =1 on that person's profile but it won't affect anyone else the way trust lists do, plus you have a date and a text of your choosing attached to it so it's arguably a lot more convenient for that kind of tracking.

I escrowed some deals for the member - is that an issue? Escrowing isn't the problem, but when you edit your Trust settings, you see this: List the users who you trust to have good trust ratings and good trust lists I was under the impression that trust lists were managed by each user. If you're on DT1, your Trust list choices affect many other forum users too. If the user gives anyone a reason to not trust them and they present the case and/or the user gives me an issue to not trust them, I will remove them. That's perfect! But it's not a reason to add him. problem solved - everyone removed from my personal list That was not my intended outcome when I posted this, but it's up to you of course. I don't have time for the drama that stupid shit like this causes. I also didn't see any need for drama, I just pointed out what I consider incorrect use of the Trust system. In the end it was more for me to remember who I had positive dealings with - it was not done to affect anyone else. Your intention was different from the result: when you're on DT1, your choices do affect others. I don't think you should use your Trust list as a personal reminder of who you dealt with.

doesnt matter - read above - problem solved. Now all the Nancy's can go worry about someone else's trust list instead of mine - pretty much guaranteed the only people that care are the handful here on this thread.

LoyceV, is there another user who has never left DT1? Or are there no more such people, and everyone at least once, but did not make it to the list? I have never left DT (1 and 2) since it was introduced. TECSHARE was the first exclusion and I will be the last. I think every other member has been removed from DT at one point or another due to the lottery.

I'm still out And I'm still out. So little do I pay attention to who's on DT these days that I thought I was already off DT, but apparently I just got shuffled off the list. Easy come, easy go. Oh how much simpler the system used to be and how much more of an honor it was to be on the DT list before this rotation system started. Sure, there was a lot of bitching about centralization and whatnot, but at least you could be more certain that some jamoke wouldn't end up on DT2 and start throwing his weight around or some other nonsense. I'm not thinking of anyone in particular, though I believe that's happened since this new system started.

@LoyceV, just wanted to let you know that I have seen the latest DT change and some name added and removed. Meanwhile, I still see that the list is showing wrong result because some of the removed name are still on the DT1 list and the ones added this week are still on DT2 in the thread you just updated. Do you need to update it again? - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5139250.0

@LoyceV I've posted an updated list here. I noticed this: I'm surprised there are currently 693 DT2-members, 226 more than before theymos updated DT1. Most of this increase is caused by CanaryInTheMine. He used to have more DT1 exclusions than inclusions when he made it to DT1, but now he has DT1 strength 0 (which means he can add users to DT2). He has 239 users on his Trust list, including almost everyone who left him positive feedback. With that, his Trust score increased from +26 / =0 / -0 to +202 / =0 / -0, which is a new record for Trust Selfscratching. I don't consider this correct use of the Trust system. To be fair: CanaryInTheMine has had more or less the same Trust list for years and it probably predates the current Trust system. So I can't blame him, it's up to the users who added him to DT1.

I have not seen a similar incident for a long time ... for this reason I decided to make an exception until an exception appears from another DT1 participant, or until CanaryInTheMine himself requests an exception from the DT1 network, (although I'm sure it's unlikely).minerjones DT1 distrusts CanaryInTheMine DT1 Edited: I removed the tilde temporarily since CanaryInTheMine was also excluded by minerjones.

CITM was one of the original people on DT1 on the legacy DT system. IIRC, there were many DT2 accounts that were traded or involved in scams that were on DT solely because of CITM. I believe that multiple additional people were added to DT1 when CITM was removed because of how small DT would have been otherwise.

And how many of those scammers were then voted down once they had been exposed? If they are suddenly reemerging as DT2 now it can only mean that no one back then took any action against the scammers, or by contacting CITM to advise them they had scammers in their DT list.

I believe a lot of these scammers predated trust exclusions, and CITM would eventually remove most of the people who were actively scamming. The problem was more so that CITM added many people to his trust list who were not invested in the forum. The people on his trust list were more likely to leave the forum, sell their account, or get their account hacked due to long term inactivity.
