I have a feeling that Natarajan would make an excellent pace bowling duo with Jasprit Bumrah. Saini is too inconsistent, and he always attempt to bowl as fast as possible, rather than trying to maintain good line and length. He is very expensive, especially when playing against good teams such as England and Australia. And the less talked about his attitude, that better. I hope no one has forgot the beamer he bowled to Stoinis during the IPL and his refusal to apologize.

Comparing Natrajan with Bumrah so quickly is not right at all. Bumrah has proved himself through his consistency in the long term while Natrajan is just a beginner in comparison.

In the IPL, he took wickets consistently, but also leaked a lot of runs since many of his yorkers were full toss balls. He needs to prove himself as a consistent bowler in the long term.

Natrajan a good bowler and his skills on bowling yorkers in the domestic setting is popular and good to see him perform well in the international level as well and that too against Australia when the rest of the bowlers were leaking runs Natrajan bowled well and i would like to see these bowlers play in good seaming wickets as well.

India team is far more superior in T20 than any other team courtesy IPL. 

There were many users here who thought India would lose, but it maintained its streak. I smell the next T20 is going to be exciting as both the teams are now in great form and India is not looking in a mood to lose any games off the 3, but I adore Australia for their batting and if in the next match, they will present a score over 210, then India will lose.

The advantage for Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj is that both of them play for RCB, which happens to be Virat Kohli's IPL franchise. Earlier there was a "CSK quota" in the Indian team, through which Mahendra Singh Dhoni got players such as Kedar Jadhav selected for the Indian team. Now this CSK quota has been replaced with the RCB quota. I am not saying that Saini and Siraj are bad players. But it is a fact that more deserving (or even equally deserving) players get overlooked in their favor.

@bryant.coleman I would like to take a different approach here, and say whether you see from the ex Indian captain’s eye i.e. Ms Dhoni, or the current captain Virat’s eyes then you’ll see that they selected the player’s they felt that can execute their game plan better than the other player’s. Furthermore many times it’s not overall records that matter, but it’s the trust that the captain has in his chosen player’s which often proves decisive in important matches.

The Indian team looks really strong, indeed a brilliant bowling figure against Australia. Natarajan is an asset for Indian team, he is in finest form. Such a great left arm bowler and yorker like Bumrah, with legitimate direction from senior members of Indian team his confidence will certainly boost.

Now its all on his fitness and selectors how they settle this young talent because now first they need to give him some good time in these two short formats as he gain some good expereince then bring him in test format which could be great for him and surely he is going to be very good for Indian bowling attack which was looking for replacing Ishant as now his time is coming up and this could be great for this younster as well.

This is true, but this doesn't mean that Kohli or MSD were wrong. If Rohit was the captain, he would probably focus on MI players too. They got to work with these players and have experience playing with them which is why they trusted them.

His recent performances helped him get noticed, but he still has a long way to go. 1 or 2 good performances are not enough to judge a player in any sport. He needs to be given more opportunities though.

So far its turning out to be a great all round series between Australian and India with Australia winning the ODI series and now India winning the T20 series. Australia will be fighting to at least win the game tonight as they don't want to get white washed in the series heading into the test match series.

To play IPL for a month and now playing in Australia and performing you think Natarajan has fitness issues  . The talents that did not fulfill is because they did not change with the demands of international cricket and you need to evolve as a cricketer because the opposition team is always learning your bowling skills and until you evolve and change you will fade out.

I like Saini as a bowler and i think he could do very well in the international cricket. May be it would be good if he's training under likes of Dravid or Zaheer so that he could learn to keep his emotion and raw pace in check otherwise Virat's influence could turn him into another Umesh Yadav in the limited over cricket.

Both Dravid and Zaheer are known as mild natured and I don't know whether Saini would be able to adjust working with them. Aggression, up to some extent is good. But when someone repeatedly bowls beamers directed at the batsmen and then refuse to apologize, then the term is not "aggression". It is more like bullying rather than aggression. Saini is not the fastest bowler in the world. We had legends such as Curtly Ambrose, Alan Donald, Glenn McGrath and Courtney Walsh in the international cricket scene two decades ago. They never bowled intentional beamers even once in their career. But that didn't prevented them from winning matches for their team.

I think Saini is suitable for T20 match. But the Indian team for Odi or Test matches has more skilled and experienced players than Saini. Agreed. Temperament is needed for the longer format and Saini lacks that. On the other hand, I have a feeling that Natarajan is suitable for both the shorter format, as well as the longer format. Anyway, it is nice to see so much competition for the slot of pace-bowlers in the Indian team. Apart from Natarajan, Saini and Siraj, we have a bunch of young pacers waiting for their opportunity, including Nagarkoti, Tyagi, Shivam Mavi.etc.

You were spot on, OZ finally managed to reach 186/5 and India would just feel better that they dint allowed them to cross 200 because they had wickets in hand but bowlers managed to restrict them and not allowed them to clear the boundary easily. Overall, only 5 sixes were hit in the innings.
India lost Rahul on 2nd ball of innings which was not the start looking for. India are now 27/1 in 3.1 and Dhawan-Kohli partnership will be crucial if they build the innings and do not lose wickets then India would have chance to whitewash this series.
