I was checking today's match schedule on Google and found that the win probability for CSK was greater than SRH. It is kind of strange for me considering the past performance of both the team in this season of IPL I was expecting it to be higher for SRH.



Then I went ahead and checked the points table for both the team



Accoding to it SRH are way ahead in the points table. I am confused here as to what made google decide that CSK are favourites for today's match.

Today's match is unpredictable to me . I saw the match  of SRH vs RR . SRH's bowlers failed to break the partnership of Parag and Tewati and they lost the match .
On the other hand  check out CSK's previous tow match . They failed to score just 167 and 169 runs . The performanc of the two teams is very poor and also unpredictable . So i will not place  any bet on today's match

I am also not sure which team to choose for today but as per the performance in this season I think the chance of SRH winning this match is good, the problem with SRH is weak bowling and the benefit with CSK is experienced player.

I think I will also skip today's betting and enjoy the match.

This isn't a great comeback, in comparison to the previous match performance there is little improvement. The early wickets from SRH and the run out of Manish Pandey by Bravo is the key moment for the win. If any one has stood strong there won't be big pressure, as the score isn't that high. This winning could give a relaxation to the CSK team.

Let's say it: Intent's finally arrived. It's been a rare sight on the field with Chennai, but it's taken them half their campaign to realize and accept they were going nowhere and hence bring out a new strategy. It started with the toss, with a shake up in their batting in the powerplay, went on with Dhoni going hard from the start and Jadeja lifting them to something over par with his cameo & Sam Curran is really beauty with bat & ball.

I am not sure whether it will work for them very often, but I could notice the change in attitude from Dhoni and others. Asking Sam Curran to open the batting was a very aggressive move. And it worked for them, as he scored quick runs. CSK players have now realized that in UAE they can't afford to have slow starts. They need to get aggressive from the very first ball.

But in this field 160+ score is pretty tough to chase.As SRH coach  also said that they are looking for 165 runs if they get a chance to bat first and in this field first batting team has won more matches and its pretty tough  to bat last.And i think SRH should have played with another batsman then they have a chance.And in last 7 overs 86 runs is pretty tough to chase.Yes CSK need the boost and they have found a little rhythm and i think  it will be very helpful for CSK in upcoming matches.

Asking Sam Curran to open the innings was a really good move and i expect them to continue with that strategy and for the first two overs he was striking the ball and the first ball Faf du Plessis got to strike he was dismissed for a golden duck. The middle order contributed especially Jadeja and if not for his innings CSK would not reach a competitive total and SRH have the players to chase the score. CSK will not realized that they are far behind when chasing and i am sure they would have lost the match if they were chasing .

I guess i read here in this thread that (vishnu's post) it was edited post from some troll twitter user and for some reasons it got viral among the netizens.

So it was an edited post, some of the media has published that and said about the accuracy of the predicted score and it is hard to identify fake news as once these sort of rumors spread you will find many blogs and news site publishing the story as if it was true without any corroboration .

CSK will not realized that they are far behind when chasing and i am sure they would have lost the match if they were chasing .

The pitches are slowing and in the second innings especially and it will be hard for batsman to time the ball.

During the start of the IPL spinners were taken apart and now spinners are getting assistance from the pitch and the last few matches were a prime example even in Sharjah ground,

SRH doesn't have really strong batting lineup in the middle that is why CSK managed to win this match but imagine the same thing with MI or RCB like team, they have deep batting line up so I think they need to bring a genuine pacer in their playing squad to take down the middle order of opponents. Jash hazelewood will be a good player to replace bravo because bravo didn't have much chance to perform in the batting and he failed as well when he got so give some strength to the bowling team with 140+ bowlers is good strategy in my opinion.

Agreed. Watson and Faf du Plessis have scored the runs, but they start slowly. So they need someone like Sam Curran to go out there and blast the bowlers, so that the run rate doesn't fall too low. Jadeja is another player who can score quick runs. And more importantly, he is someone who attacks the bowlers from the very first ball. In the previous matches, it was really perplexing to see Dhoni sending useless players such as Kedar Jadhav ahead of Jadeja.

The odds and the recent performance will show DC as the favorite but when i checked about the team there are some injury concerns in the team and i would like to see the team composition before placing my bet. RR is an unpredictable team and two of their wins were solely because of the performance of Rahul Tewatia who took the team to victory from the face of defeat and hence he is the most valuable player for them.

It's true quick wickets fall put Delhi Capitals in the pressure. But, looks like Shikhar Dhawan and Shreyas Iyer both are set on the pitch, they're getting regular boundaries. This is what they should continue the momentum to set good totals on the boards. I support to DC because this tems giving preference to young Indian talents.

Dc is batting well though they have already lost their first 3 wickets. But the score is enough good. 108 in 13+.. overs. That means if nothing miracle happens in this innings maybe we can see the score around 170-180 runs. Quite good.
On the other hand, RR is not playing enough good in this ipl. If they can not stop DC in around 150-160 maybe they can not chase DC in this match IMO.

If you are looking at the sheets Rajasthan Royals has the team to chase down 161 runs and the bowlers that could trouble them is Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin and if they play smartly against these two class spinners then they have the batting dept to win the match as they have a deep batting line up. The case in on and Rajasthan Royals started well and it is an interesting match.

RR having the advantage here. They are in a very comfortable position and need just 78 runs from 10.2 overs. And the best thing is that they have 8 wickets in hand. Ben Stokes failed to impress during his first match, but this time he more than made up for it. I think that this is the first time that DC conceded so many runs during the first 10 overs of the match.

But if they start to think it’s  very easy to reach and score slowly. Then RR will lose the match again. Another wicket gone right now.

Yup... RR batted very irresponsibly. The runout of Riyan Parag was really unnecessary. They were cruising along, and suddenly they started throwing away their wickets. But as long as Lord Tewatia is there, I will not rule them out of this match. Robin Uthappa is also there, but I don't think that this senior citizen will be able to do much to help the Rajasthan Royals.

Edit: Anrich Nortje just dropped Tewatia. Can you believe it? It was such an easy chance.

Rajasthan Royals could have won the match easily but then Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada bowled some serious pace in the final overs and that made the difference and Nortje was clocking at over 150 kmph and his slowest delivery was around 133 kmph which is funny considering those are the stock delivery for some bowlers  .
