And the list of the individuals need to be submitted before 10th September. Additional players can be brought as reserve but the participating nations need to take care of the expenses of these players. Smaller nations will be at a disadvantage here, in case any of their squad members test positive for COVID. Now we have less than two months to go, to the start of the world cup.

The Big final for KPL 2021 is about to start in less than 30 minutes. These are the two best teams of the tournament and meeting in the final. They have previously meet in the pool matches and in the Qualifier 1 and both matches were a thriller. ~

Maybe Muzaffarabad Tigers (Mohammad Hafeez team) will win this match. Rawalakot Hawks has given a target of 170 runs. And Muzaffarabad Tigers has started their innings perfectly. BTW, KPL started a few days ago and it's ending very quickly! It is one of the shortest T20 league I have ever seen.

I thought that too thought out the match that Muzaffarabad Tigers will win as they played the better cricket but i felt that some unseen forces (which people can't see) wanted shahid Afradi team should win and they really won in the end.


KPL next edition will consists of Seven teams instead of six as announced yesterday in the presentation ceremony and this will increase the duration of the tournament also.

Overall, KPL is a good entry in the list of franchises. We will see international players participation also in future.

What is the issue with Namibia's ranking? if their board cannot spend money for the development of the team, how can ICC help them? Does ranking matters now? If the team performs well in the world cup automatically they will get recognised and their ranking will improve. If they are out in the first round no one will be asking about them.

The ICC hasn't done much to help the smaller teams, after Jagmohan Dalmiya was kicked out as the ICC president two decades ago. On paper they provide some amount of funding. But due to the change in eligibility criteria, this mostly goes to teams like Oman and the UAE, who bring Indian and Pakistani nationals to represent them. Teams with native players, such as Namibia, Kenya, Papua New Guinea and Nepal have seen their rankings go down and the funding decline in the recent years.

A lot of violence is going on there and huge number of people have been made refugees. One plus point is that cricket is one of the sporting activities that is allowed under the Taliban. The Afghanistan national cricket team played its first match, when Taliban was in power (2001?). I am looking towards the CPL, which is about to start next week. Several Afghan players are included in the franchise squads. If they participate in the CPL, then that would mean these players will be available for the World cup as well.

If the ICC goes by it's rulebook, then Afghanistan will be suspended from the primary membership and the national team will not be allowed in to any of the ICC tournaments.

Afghanistan will not be compared with other countries at the moment. A war-torn country. If the ICC bans the Afghanistan Cricket Board according to their rules, then the future of Afghanistan cricket ends here. Because Afghanistan will never allow an independent cricket board to be formed. They must establish their authority over the board. However, the ICC has not yet issued an official statement on Afghanistan.

Taliban did not took over the country, they were the native people of the Afghanistan. It was American who were trying to take over them, and they failed.

Afghanistan and Taliban are very friendly over the sports and you will find a very strong cricket team emerging from Afghanistan. But in the long run, Afghanistan will be a strongest cricket nation too.

In the Olympic football tournament, a total of 16 teams took part and this will be an ideal number for the cricket tournament, IMO. But the big question is regarding automatic qualification. In the Olympics, only the host nation gains automatic qualification (and for the 2028 Olympics, that means the United States will gain direct entry). Everyone else (including teams like Brazil and Spain) played qualifier matches. And I don't think that the Pig-3 are going to accept this. Imagine India playing against Myanmar and England playing against Bulgaria.

Cricket in Afghanistan started to rise after the US invasion and you think that the Taliban will be allowing sports  . Opium and money is what they want and power, they do not care about anything else.
