They got a pulse. Chances are that this time it is the MH370. Not many objects beam radio signals at 30 MHz, that too in the mid-ocean.

Add a second ship, triangulate the pings, locate the plane in an hour, at most.

You know how Malaysia is slow in giving out updates, conflicting information, and changing wordings of the last transmission, which made it seems like they have something to hide...

My friend said what if the pilot or a hijacker blackmailed the Malaysian Gov for ransom or the release of a prisoner something like that, and the Malaysian Gov turned them down? Then the hijacker crashed the jet as threatened in the blackmail.

The Malaysian Gov did not do anything wrong, but still would not like the news to come out. Plausible theory?

Black box is most probably dead by now.. I'm sure this will be just another false lead and then the search will move another 600 miles away due to another false lead.

This plane is gone forever I think.

Its kinda funny you disbelieve the official story (which basically only is "we have no clue"), and seem willing to accept any conspiracy as more plausible than the official 'we have no clue' story, yet apparently you barely know any of the facts of the investigation. You are not aware of the acars pings that pretty much prove the plane flew south for a long time, have no clue about GPS, and you missed this story too. Why do you seem hell bent on disbelieving what you have no clue about?

Well that's just what conspiracy theorists do. The 'official story' is always less exciting. A simple and plausible story such as 'the plane crashed' or 'we don't know' would never satisfy a theorist regardless of the facts or lack thereof. There must be a conspiracy in everything, and if there isn't one, they'll sure as hell make up a lot of wild scenarios based on the tiniest slithers of what they believe to be true (based on misinformation or actual facts or not).

Hopefully ADV Ocean Shield and HMS Echo, both having more sophisticated gear onboard than the Chinese ship, will be able to find out more. Because, if it's really a black box, it is emitting only sporadic pings which probably means that either the battery is coming to an end, or it has been severely damaged and might permanently stop working any time. In which case we're back to square one.
