I too have watched the videos. I am not happy with the way the Africans are treated in Ukraine their lives are just as valuable as the Ukrainians. If someone comes to your house it is your responsibility to protect them until they leave to their home. Nigerian students used to prefer doing their Masters or first degree in Ukriane because it is easier and cheaper than other European countries. I can assume many of the Nigerians in the videos are exchange students

My own opinion is that why has at this time of crisis, fuel scarcity and alot going on In our country like the academic staff union of University dey strike our number family for we country them no even dey. We have lots of security issues our selves, that we need to tackle, but we'll you can't make the decision for anyone that wants to join Ukraine to fight. It's definitely about finances, i pray we all finally learn to leave in peace war is terrible this who feels it most are the citizens, lots of lives are lost.

Actually a lot of things they happen for this our Nija, some of those things self no to get meaning, because we get leaders wey suppose come and help us out but them concern na their bele and family alone. Just see how ASUU they keep us for house and Cary their children go outside go school, also this insecurity matter wey no wan end for this country. I will blame the government and ASUU.

The government because they are responsible for Nigeria not having a good economy that can make everything work properly. Nigeria has the highest GDP in Africa but most Nigerians are living below the poverty line. Nigeria is even the worst in the world as it took the first position from India few years ago as a country that has highest number of people living below poverty line.

Crude oil makes up 70% of Nigeria export, the price has gone up from around $25 when many countries made lockdown mandatory, the price has gone up above $100 now but nothing yet changed in Nigeria. Buhari government depends more on foreign loans, we all noticed how the government have been deducting VAT from people. MTN, Airtel, Glo and other service providers, banks and other organizations in Nigeria have way of deducting VAT from citizens which are given to the government, these were obvious when Buhari has been borrowing more money from foreign countries.

The government were able to borrow money and were able to looking for ways to pay back the money but have not been able to fund ASUU's demands.

ASUU are to be blammed because they are more dependent on government. ASUU should find ways to be less dependent on government. Nigeria is one of the countries in the world that their student pays low school fee. Reducing school fee can help to an extent but it has its downsides which is what is happening. ASUU can still do it in a way the school fee can be lower than that of private schools but in a way they will be less dependent on the government.

I remembered when LAUTECH went on strike for 8 months, the student resumed for exam and started another strike that lasted for 5 months. The school fee was hiked to ₦140000 at that time and the school is now better than before.

@BIT-BENDER, can you give us the link to that news, this will let us know more about the reason Nigeria is giving out aids to another country so we can have more understanding about it. There are times aid can be needed especially to underdeveloped West Africa and Africa countries which are always looking up to Nigeria.

Nigerian government been spoil since wen the politicians leave vitals issues wey Dem for settle for the country, go dey talk bout how Dem buy electoral seat so Dem must make thier money back. I am aware that most times to get the best education you really have to pay so much for it, but i think based on the condition of things in the country now, things should remain this way, let the wealthy who can afford private owned schools or foreign schools send their children there, then let the government fund the educational sector to improve it and bring a halt to all this incessant strikes, that way it is going to be a win-win situation for all parties

What I am just thinking is that in the West and European countries, tertiary schools fee is high which will surely help in the development of the schools. I remembered LAUTECH was so frustrated to the extent few students among the students traveled abroad to start all over again, when new set resumed, few students were admitted as only few even applied for admission. But if this (paying appropraite fee) has been from the beginning, it would have worked better if ASUU is not that depending on our government.

Looking it from this scenario, if no fee is paid, Nigeria school would be worse than this, I was surprised to know that UI undergraduates were paying ₦30000 for tuition fee in 2018 (I do not know how much they are playing now), if you check the Northern Nigeria, you will be surprised. Although, state universities pay higher, but I am thinking ASUU really needs to look into that because it works well in countries that have organizations that are more self-reliant than depending most on their government.

I can not say I am right about this but just my opinion, but the federal government really needs to act, I was surprised they can easily borrow billions of dollars but not able to fund what ASUU are requsting for. But this started since 2009 and government are never ready, ASUU has gone for strike countless number of times since 2009 because of this and most of their reqiested was never fulfilled up till now.

Indians and other Asians in the country feel the Africans are treated better, the country are looking for supports from other countries anyhow. They believe keeping other nationals within their country will force them to come for their rescue. The media is also creating a narrative and I am really confused about the handling of the war by the Ukranians.

Even to me sef the paper no be any thing but the knowledge dey necessary pass the A4 paper were dem call certificate because why most people go carry paper comot from skull but still no fit defend mmmm, e good to go skul but b4 you go school, try get hand work and when you dey school get side hustle and after you finish school drop the certificate try develope and build on the skills were you don gather and also learn new one. Indians, Asians are all still foreigners, Nigerians and other other African countries are still foreigners too. Nearly 20000 foreigners applied to fight for Ukraine, said the Ukrainian foreign minister, but I do not think the reason foreigners will fight should be because some foreigners are finding it difficult to leave Ukraine. Most foreigners that will join Ukrainian military will most likely be from the countries that borders Ukraine and having the same political views with them.

After four years for university graduate go dey look like beggar. After my first degree for poly na then I go learn handwork na that handwork I take further my school. Especially our naija own unfortunately, you know say other countries dey follow know wetin dey sup for this our country sometimes. If every every year ASUU dey go strike and dem dey talk am for news, people for outside still dey hear am, so even if you finally carry your certificate cun go there, dem know say nothing come out because nor be small strike you dun face so. Nigerian educational system is in a sorry state, it is not enough to just go to school (school is important) but nor go loose guard oooo, first class dey still find work for Nigeria, even after you get work, the work fit nor dey okay to sustain your expenses, focus!
