Czech Republic - England - what a boring game, especially 2nd half. But it's nothing surprising when both teams are satisfied with such result.
Croatia - Scotland were much more interesting. Scotland gave good fight, but Croatia and individual level of their players was just better. Though, I can say that in this tournament Scotland played above my expectations.

England has won, but there is still something it lacks offensively despite today's positive changes in the offensive team.
Croatia qualifies as the second ranking after Modric's  goal that may be the most beautiful in the tournament outside the foot from outside the penalty area.
Czech deservedly qualified as one of the The best of third place.
Scotland is a good participation to build on in the next editions.

Yes, this is an interesting pattern. Many coaches tried to break it, but even with excellent results in the qualifying stages for the championships, England always performs poorly in the main competition. But sooner or later they must show good results. The Spanish national team was also quite weak before its golden era and could boast of only one title won a very long time ago (like England now).

England has one of the best squad that consist of top players mostly from the Premier League but those players didnt play as a team but instead they are all just talented players that was packed together to play in one team. Thats how I define the current England and compared with the other teams that got the 1st position in the group stage, England is probably one of the worst

Btw, England qualified for the next round by scoring only 2 goals in 3 matches. Thats pretty lame huh despite playing in one of the easiest Group

This is it! Luka Modrić delivered another impressive performance for Croatia in their victory over Scotland. I must admit that after the equalizer, I was a little worried. However, Croatia once again proved that it performs much better when things are tight.

Croatia is going to the knockout rounds of the EURO as the second-placed team in Group D. They will now play the runners-up from Group E, either Spain, Slovakia, Sweden or Poland.

I didn't think that England would win the last match against the Czech tonight, to be honest if I predicted that in this match England would play a draw but it turned out to be beyond my expectations .
 I don't know if England really need to be happy or sad about today  victory? but in my opinion, tonight victory will make the journey of the English team even more difficult in the last 16 phase because they have to face the runner-up group F (France, Germany, or Portugal) and it is worth waiting for who will be England next opponent.
With today's defeat against England, the Czech have qualified to 16th as the best 3rd team and most likely will also face difficult opponents, namely the winners of Group B, C, or Group E later.

Today was a tight game especially because Czech team played well in this euro and the english side lack aggressivity in their games when they score early they try keeping their advantage plus there is some players not used to 0laying together its a new team so the important thing is that they are past the group stage without conceiding a goal and i think they can do better when facing a better team because they have some fast players so they can play better counter attacks.

I still dont understand why the sportsbooks putted 2.50 odd on Croatia to win this match. It was obvious they were gone a win. Maybe the odd was high because scotland played at home. But Croatia showed Class in the match against Scotland.

Yes i am and i guess a lot of more are excited about the coming match tomorrow Germany vs Hungary and also how will France play against Portugal.
I will say a close win for Germany if they keep playing as they have done the last match and also a win for France.

some teams might do the same thing if possible, after all in a football match of course the format and schedule has been set well by the organizers, so we can find out who their next opponent is in a match, and when a team on paper can win easily but on the other hand they deliberately play badly to lose or draw in a match, of course they have their own goals and even that has happened several times in football matches for example the 2018 world cup. I personally don't think it's a theory but rather a tactic used by the team when they have already qualified but try to avoid a stronger opponent in the next match, and of course this is a natural thing and does not violate the rules of the sport but certainly far from it's  called sportif.

Three teams in the group have spots in the last 16. Croatia managed to win and control their situation. Luka Modric had a fabulous moment, what a shot from Modric.

Croatia seems to depend on Modric and Perisic and this Euro will be last big tournament for them. They can have a World Cup next 1 year but I don't think they will be able to keep playing as well as now. The younger players in Croatia team don't mature enough and it can cause a downside of Croatia next several years, after this Euro. With the quality Croatia have, I agree with you that they will almost be able to go too farther.

He has almost two decades of experience in international football and it is not easy to replace someone with that much expertise. On top of that, he has spent more than a decade with Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid. All that said, I don't think that Croatia will be able to progress much. Modrić alone can't do much and he needs support from the other players as well. And next stage will be tough, since their possible opponents will be Spain.

Croatia winning this  championship wouldn't be that easy with the calibres of quality teams remaining in the competition, countries like Portugal, France, German, Belgium and Italy are very much on group and the chances of the Croatian beating any of the above-mentioned team is not feasible, in fact the winner of this competition is too close to call because of many quality teams participating in the competition. next round of games which will be knock out stages round 16 and quarter-finals will indeed be very interesting  and more competitive.

Modric and Rakitic are the two players who had nearly same debut time in Croatia and they grew up together. Perisic and Mandzukic were not as famous as Modric and Rakitic at that time.

Eventually, only Modric lelt in the squad and he still contributes too much for the team. The goal with Trivela style is amazing and reminds me about another old player, Quaresma of Portugal. He was part of Portugal team in Euro 2016 but now he is not. Time goes so fast.

Luka Modrić 35+ years yet at the same time performing at this level. He has amazing performance, that stunning goal against Scotland one of the best of this tournament. He also created 1 assist too in this game. A player with a great skills, I have been following him from last World Cup. Modric is class, I love this guy. Croatia take second place in group D, thus Scotland must go to the home despite having same points.
