Modric does a tremendous job both in the Croatian national team and in Real Madrid. Despite his age, he is still the best in his position. I hope this time Croatia will be able to win the championship. They deserve it.

Luka Modrić is perhaps the only member from the Croatia's 2006 FIFA World Cup squad who is still active in international football. He has almost two decades of experience in international football and it is not easy to replace someone with that much expertise. On top of that, he has spent more than a decade with Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid. All that said, I don't think that Croatia will be able to progress much. Modrić alone can't do much and he needs support from the other players as well. And next stage will be tough, since their possible opponents will be Spain.

The Croatian team is good enough. There are fewer experienced players in the Spanish team now. Croatia and Spain are equally strong at the moment. But I think if Luke Modirch is able to perform well, then Croatia can win. Because the team depends a lot on him. However, Spain's coach is very experienced. He may have a strategy to defeat the Croatian team.

This is pretty much how im betting in todays matches, Spain to win, its "do or die"
for them after under performing in the last 2 games. Germany should be able to
beat Hungary, because its the Euro's and its Germany!

France v Portugal will be the closest match, could even be a draw but I'm not betting
on this one, I cant call it. I am edging towards France with their abundance of talent,
but Ronaldo always remains a threat of course for Portugal.

Group E: Slovakia vs Spain
Spain want to prove that the two draws were small accidents, and today they will certainly do everything to win. I think there are arguments for that.


Group E: Sweden vs Poland
I think it will be a balanced match, which should bring a draw.


Group F: Germany vs Hungary
Hungary still have a chance of passing, but they face a strong and motivated Germany after their last victory. That's why I think Germany wins.


Group F: Portugal v France
It's a game in which neither team wants to lose, and after all, a draw is enough for both teams to reach the next stage. I think the game will end in a draw.

Croatia finally played well after very long time, probably our the  best match since World cup in Russia 2018.
Modric is still the best but I'm impressed with Vlasic, Juranovic and Perisic.
Croatia now have very good chance to make great result in this Euro and can beat even Spain in the next round.
It's obvious that self-confidence is high, mood in the team is much better and players are ready now to make another great result like in Russia.

Yes, he's one of those players that you think could probably play for ever, he's hugely talented and certainly not too old. You can imagine him still performing at the highest level for a few years yet... even if he were to just stand in the centre circle for the whole game pinging passes around, he'd still be a major asset to the team. One of the all-time greats.

Portugal certainly won't play like they played against Germany either. Will definitely make some changes.
France may even win, but it will certainly not have an easy life.
In addition, it will depend on which opponent the teams want to catch in the next phase.

Idk why England is always so bad.
They have the best league, very good players but I can't remember a tournament where did well.

This year for example they have good names, good players but they are doing nothing (in before they will the Euro2020)

Well i would say they are not that bad so far in this tournament i mean they are in first place in their group which is an achievement already. I agree though, that England is not part of the big favorites for this tournament as other teams like Italy, France are looking way stronger. One reason why the english national team was never really successful could be the conditions in their premier league. They have 20 clubs instead of 18 like f. e. in germany which means they have 4 matches more in one league season. Then they have the EFL cup and the FA cup which so 1 more than the other big leagues and of course they don't have a break during the winter. That's why the English players, most of whom play in the Premier League, are probably already pretty overplayed when a EURO or World Cup starts.

Right, Portugal with the status as defending champions but it looks like the opportunity is very different at this moment for Portugal which seems difficult to be champions again. Maybe, Portugal still has a chance to qualify for the next stage but still, I believe Portugal will still be difficult to reach the final match and I also agree, France has a better chance to win the final match in this group stage.

Do you mean that if there is a draw, the Portuguese team will go to the playoffs from the third place in the group? This is likely, although not a reliable plan. Damn, what a player Modrić is! By far the best player in the history of croatian football, and we did have some great ones.

He was not his usual self in the 1st half but he shrugged that off with a brilliant 2nd half performance, that goal with the outside of his foot is one of the contenders for the goal of the championship.

I'm thrilled that we got out of the group, today we'll see who we play against. Fingers crossed it's Slovakia

The re-run of the Euro 2016 final, won by Portugal 1-0 during extra time, promises to be interesting and balanced. Both teams could score, IMO. A draw is not to be excluded but in the end I think France will prevail on the Portuguese, provided that the good Ronaldo does not invent some devilry of his to put in his place the rival Mbappé.

Yes. Portugal, can even lose 2-0, and still manage to pass in third place. You can't have a goal difference of more than two.

Both games are hard to predict today from Group F seeing as all of them can go through still. Portugal v France is the one to watch for me though. Hoping there's lots of goals and that they don't just cancel each other out. A point for them both would probably be enough to make sure they both go through in some capacity.

Germany should comfortably win but I'm not sure if Hungary will make it easy for them especially after they held France to a draw and can still qualify depending on the other results so I think they will go all out. They might even get a goal but I still think Germany should get two or three.

I really hope to see an amazing game tonight. Due to Portugal's defeat to Germany on Saturday, they now need to win more points. Although the French are through, they'll probably want to bring back the winning momentum after the disappointing result against Hungary. I expect a more energetic French team, and to see Benzema score his first EURO goal.
Anyway, I think we'll see one interesting match. My money is on France.
