The fact that Hungary turned out to be the weakest in the group is not surprising, this result was predictable. Yes, Hungary played very decently, with three games they playd draw twice, in such a group it is a very decent result, it is a pity that they will not continue their participation in the tournament further, I think they had very good prospects to fight with the strongest teams.

They were the bottom of the group but they weren't that weak. Everyone was expecting Hungary to be zero points and maybe even zero goals but on contrary to popular belief they got 2 points out of three games, that is not something people expected, it is really a cool result if you ask me. The other three were looked like they would go up anyway unless something major changed, and all three did went up and that's cool to see.

I wouldn't want to miss out on their games and watch some other weaker them just because they were in an easier group then these three. At the end of the day we are doing so much better as fans, the teams that are left going to have elevation games and they are usually much more entertaining to watch. This is why I am hoping that we are going to see better odds as well, since it is elimination I believe odds will be higher for even favorites so we may make some good bucks.

I don't know which team to back between England (@2.55) and Germany (@2.9) but I know that those bet are very good for the winner!
Now the team advancing to the next round gonna most likely play the final game after winning vs Netherlands in semi final.
In the left side, we have hard games coming which will involve France, Belgium, Italy but also Portugal and Spain.

Critics huh? Well you will find for every player. Its just how it is. But they are the ones whom players live to shut up no? They will rise up once again when Ronaldo perform poorly. It goes on and on.. it's a part of football now.

Yes fans and critics are all part of the sport. I just find some people's dislike of popular players like Ronaldo extreme.

It will be a great match between England and Germany. As for others , don't take their fixtures easily as well. This teams have played well in group stage and have surprised some good teams.

Of course every team did well to get this far but this isn't the group stage and this is where the big boys usually dominate. I would also love to see upsets to be honest but I don't expect surprises on the 3 teams I mentioned.

Ronaldo with 5 goals, but I kind of dislike the fact that he scores so many penalties all the time. It feels like it distorts the true top scorer list. He has always been scoring a good chunk of his goals per season with penalties. I am not sure but I think there was a time when penalties didn't count to the overall total, am I wrong?

Regardless of how the goal was created, currently ronaldo has collected 5 goals and with portugal still surviving in euro 2020/21 of course there is still an opportunity for ronaldo to break the record held by Michel Platini (9 goals) as the player with the most goals collection in one Euro tournament edition.
Ronaldo is currently listed as the first Portugal player to always score in three Euro  group stage matches and of course that is quite proud for both Portugal fans and Ronaldo.

Perfect 9 points can not help them to reserve a spot in quarter final. They have to fight and win their matches in Round 16. Italy and Netherlands can win a bit easily but Belgium will have to show their best performance to win against Portugal.

I agree that it was a tough game, but Belgium can be favorite to win the game because they have a pretty good line-up so far. I have no doubt that they are capable of scoring, although it is difficult but I believe Belgium will beat Portugal.

I don't think Southgate will ever allow England to play with all guns out. He is always playing with 2 defensive midfielders and restricting his full backs to very safe and defensive style of play. As a consequence of that England has become defensively very stable but they are seriously lacking in creativity and chance creation. Basically they are playing long ball to Sterling and hoping he outruns his defenders, their second good attacking option are set pieces and that is it way too little for team of England quality.

Germany is actually a good draw for them since Germans will attack and leave enough space for Sterling to exploit. If they got paired with Sweden or Portugal I would put my money 0:0 immediately.

Yeah but Germany would be playing against England. I mean England is so bad in Euro that they only scored 2 goals out of 3 matches despite playing against Croatia, Scotland and Czech Republic. I could only imagine the worst scenario if England somehow win against Germany, it would be either because England score an early goal or probably through the injury time

Today's games produced quite a number of goals and my sole interest was the Portugal versus France.  Honestly i thought France would come out top in this one but I guess Ronaldo and team had other plans and his nemesis Benzema too was on point 👉  which conclusively was a good match.

It's not just a good game, but it's also a series of dramatic matches. If you notice, the drama started at the beginning of the second half of the match between Portugal and France, and it lasted until about 60 minutes. Right at the moment Portugal were led by France, they were no longer safe in this group, when Hungary suddenly led Germany. This makes Portugal the team at the bottom of the table and in danger of being eliminated. But then, Portugal equalized, Germany equalized, the position of the teams in the group continued to change. These developments are really unpredictable and it creates terrible drama, I still feel dizzy when I think about it. All 3 teams Germany, Portugal and Hungary are in danger of being eliminated. Unbelievable, everything happened within a few short minutes

In the last 16 round, the most exciting draws will be Belgium - Portugal and England - Germany, I think.

Belgium have promoted as the leader and they won all of their games in their group. I really liked their big effort. Kevin De Bruyne is really a game changer. In the Denmark - Belgium game, he entered the game in the early second half. He scored 1 goal and made 1 assist. He is their most important player in this draw too. I can't also overlook Lukaku's great performance. He has been just a beast. Defenders have really hard time preventing him. His contribution also has been quite big so far. Portugal were nearly being eliminated in the group stage already. Thanks to Germany, they have managed to promote. Ronaldo was really good against France by not missing any of the penalties. In this draw, I see Belgium as one step ahead. It won't be easy though but they can beat Portugal by one goal.

I can't say that England were so awesome. They had 2 wins and 1 draw in the group stage, yeah. But they didn't win those games easily. And they had a hard time against Scotland. They seemed like they didn't care too much. But in this round, I expect them to play way more serious. Germany had really interesting games. France didn't make them play properly. But in the second game, there were a totally different Germany. They just destroyed Portugal 4-2. But in the last game, they were having serious problems again. They were so close to losing to Hungary and say goodbye to the tournament. In this draw, my favourite team are England. I think they can win against the unstable Germany.

I guess they will play with all guns out and hopefully the best what they have as its already a final match and a classic one too.
Maybe England also needs the same as Germany a team that playing with , and not only staying in the back and wait for there chances.

England vs Germany is one of clasic big matches in the Europe. You can not say the defense of England is good because they have yet met with big teams so far. Germany will be the first big test for England.

Gemany played better than England in the first three matches and England looks bad with attacking. Probably people thought England and Southgate tried to hide a real power in group stage but I don't know. If it is true, they will come back stronger in the match against Germany. If it is untrue, Germany will be able, have more chance to beat England.

Anyway, at any time, such match is 50 - 50 for both teams and the leverage will be fall into one side or another a bit, but not too much.

Hungary tried their best in the Euro. They played with strong countries with star players and still struggle to lose  only one match and draw twice. People actually thought they was not going to have any points. So sad, this is the end of road for them in the Euro 2020.

One thing I liked about Hungary is that almost their entire team was of Hungarian descent (the only exception I could find was Loïc Négo). On the other hand, the Western European nations fielded squads that were predominantly composed of players who were born in Africa or Latin America. Obviously in football the eligibility rules are quite tight and you can't include non-citizens in the squad. But many of these players (Kimpembe, Pogba, Mbappé, Dembélé.etc) had the option of representing their country of descent as well. They chose European countries for obvious reasons. Now this is a disadvantage for the poorer countries.

You don't know the parents or the players from Europe at all!
Kimpembe, Pogba, Mbappé, Dembélé... they are all players who were born in France. Therefore, they are French, no matter if their parents or grandparents are from other countries.
From Italy everyone is Italian.
In Portugal, there is only 1 player that neutralizes Portuguese, which was Pepe (Brazil).
England, will all be from the UK.
Russia actually has one or two players, who are Brazilians.

Anyway... in practically every country, players were born in the country they represent. Having mostly parents who also have the same origin/nationality.
It's not the name, skin color, physical condition, or family history that make them different from the country they represent.

So the knock out stage will give us 2 early finals already. Those to matches are England vs Germany and Portugal vs Belgium. I can say those two matches as early finals because those 4 teams are strong teams that has good chance to reach Final in general. Hard to predict those two matches but I'll go for England and Portugal.
England vs Germany: Although England seems to be a team that has scoring goal difficulties in the group stage but Germany is also not that good in defense.
Portugal vs Belgium: Portugal has many great midfielders but they did not really show their best like what they show in their club. Ronaldo will be still the one to make a change on the match. On other side, Belgium has better result in group stage with 100% win but they won it all against mediocre teams only.
